prince9851:the above seems to be a drastic shift. Is the statement really made by him? Shia are now "brothers and sisters". this is too little and coming too late but however commendable. this should have been said last year during his media chat and it was a mistake for him to have tacitly supported/justified the crackdown that became known as the Zaria Massacre and kept mum all the while while el-rufai was trying hard to provoke chaos in Kaduna and in the north. this shift will definitely raise several questions. is it caused by the statements issued by the US State Dept., the US and British embassies? is it because the ICC is now actively involved in investigating the Zaria massacre? public and media pressure? pressure by NGOs? what exactly has changed overnight that Nigerian Shia are now recognized, asked to be treated humanely and called "brothers and sisters" by Mr. President? in a new year message? what is the importance? or can we say the president was unaware from the beginning of happenings in Zaria? or was kept uninformed? or misinformed? is there a policy reassessment? time will tell. |

Seun:I thought I was the only one who noticed. Shia Muslims are "brothers and sisters" of Mr. President. This is a commendable development but too small a gesture and coming late. |

Mr President, nice speech. But what's with the one sided fight against corruption. Probing only those who stand against you means you're corrupt yourself. As for the Chibok girls' propaganda which i think alotta people are dumb to believe, we know, no girls were abducted, why haven't the rescued 21 opened up on the whereabouts of their mates? We know it's mere propaganda used to bring down Gej's regime. You have said nothing about the people of southern Kaduna, are they not Nigerians or don't the lives of hundreds massacred by your own brothers matter? Southern Kaduna dey Cameroon?? I'll keep saying it; the government, religion and politics in Nigeria are all poo. They have done nothing good for nobody. I want a better Nigeria, a country where religion wouldn't be a barrier!! Where tribe wouldn't be a barrier!! Where the labours of heroes past shall never be in vain. God bless Nigeria. |

Our dualistic (God-devil) reasoning is fake. How do I know? It's because God and the devil are always playing the game according to our rules. We are the God and we are the devil. Calendars are artificial. On the Gregorian calendar, a year is ending today. But on the other calendars — the Islamic calendar, the Julian calendar, the Ethiopian calendar, the Copic calendar, etc — there's no year that is ending today. But because we use the Gregorian calendar and our own year is ending today, then our God is planning to release prophecies to his servants tonight. He is also planning to bless some people in the year that starts from tomorrow. Etc etc etc. God works according to our calendar. That's why he is our own God. Those using the other types of calendar have their own Gods too whose work schedules will surely be different from ours. For instance, Allah is not planning to bless anybody in a new year tomorrow as his own new year isn't starting tomorrow. And because we use the Gregorian calendar and our own year is ending today, then our demons are planning to prevent some people from seeing the new year tomorrow. They are also planning to wreck havoc in some people's lives in the year that starts from tomorrow. Etc etc etc. Our Satan and demons work according to our calendar. That's why they are our own Satan and demons. Those using the other types of calendar have their own devils too whose work schedules will surely be different from ours. We are the God and we are the devil. |

MrBrighto:We remain tremendously optimistic but the fact that you always exclude the welfare of the masses in mapping out your policies remain your weakness. You must on that soon

MAYOWAAK:you don fumble my brother. no Muslim would claim that the Islamic calendar is "Allah's calendar". that is the method of counting. the months are recognized. i'm talking in terms of new year and number of years after the hijrah on which the calendar counting years is based. it was man-made and adopted. your line of thinking is flawed. people count years and are free to be happy to still be alive. that is not saying i am defending those who peddle fake miracles and lies about knowledge of the unseen. those are only taking advantage of people and the season. |
