The slight 19-year-old (Yaw Yeboah) admits his time in France taught him "how to play men's football" after a year at City's academy. Although the Ghanaian made just five appearances with Les Dogues, the daily routine prepared him for life at a top European league. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-city-news-yaw-yeboah-12383904 Argumentators. ![]() |

TheGoodJoe:Infact, the club was also behind Mikel because of the defeat and Hazad's red card! |

TheGoodJoe:oh cmon, Team moulding I agree, but your guns were not even firing and what a way to tell that Klopp's tactic of keeping those two silent for most part of the game wasn't successful. We all know Pep's reputation preceeds him always, so it's a ticking time bomb. Whatever he does I wonder why he's continue to give Nolito chances and no one shouts at him, yet we can point fast at Nacho.... |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:01pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
daveP: All those Pep Reputation is pure crap. Pep put an end to that arrogant debate when he sourced for Solutions from his former player, Xabi Alonso. Guardiola is a humble person. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:03pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
daveP: I do not get your last phrase. When Nolito plays, it mostly has to do with his tracking back. He does that better than most on the left. Nolito played few games up front. Nacho has clearly played upfront more than Nolito. Nolito plays mostly on the left. |

Mikel Obi joining Valencia on a four year deal... That means no Europe next year since Valencia are battling for their lives. Good place for Mikel to play though. Regular games will be good for him. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:05pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
daveP: Klopp is a brilliant coach and I told many who care to listen that Liverpool have a better team than us. It is a more balanced team. Guardiola will still bring in more young players. Maybe a few experienced hitmen. However, the results will not swing in our favor overnight. It is a long-term project. |

TheGoodJoe:Yeah I quite agree he is a humble man, but still, that reputation, we both know it preceeds him everywhere he goes take it or leave it.And like seriously, you fell for that sourcing story?..... okay(shrugs) |

tbaba1234: I hope it is true. Thanks for the update. Valencia is a fantastic place for Mikel but he got a lot of work on his legs. |

daveP: It is not fell for. It is a fact. They discussed and Xabi Alonso's advice helped and worked. Even the goal Liverpool scored highlighted it. Our aerial presence is weak and Aerial presence is key to the EPL. The reputation is Guardiola being good at his job. We are one of the best passing teams in the EPL. That highlights his impact. I see the team getting better. |

TheGoodJoe:Glad you just admitted what I wanted you to.... i.e Guardi is building despite the worth of his starting eleven. Klopp The Kop on the other hand, is using just exactly what he has at hand. Good players, but who sabi dem like that? ![]() |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:19pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
daveP: Kolarov, Clichy, Sagna, Kompany, Zabaleta, Yaya Toure and more are over thirty. So the team might have big rep but they are not top quality for the intense system we play. We need younger players to boost the squad. They will also need time to blend in and grow. Unlike the popular sports media, I know Guardiola is under tough conditions. As I said before, Klopp is an Amazing manager. Liked him as a neutral when he worked with Dortmund with Lewandowski, Kagawa, Sahin, Bender, Gotze etc. He has a good team at Liverpool and he is doing a fine job. I am interested to see the talents that will join City and the ones promoted from the academy. . |

TheGoodJoe:Let's start from Aguero.... he has done good 2016. But the changes are truly affecting him both ways. Not bad though. But why don't he track back and get balls man? Why? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:30pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
daveP: He does not suit the system. Aguero is ready to drop deep to help build-up plays but not ready to track back to help defend. It is how Aguero wants to operate. It is similar to his replica Romario who hated the idea of defending. It takes time to sort these things out. Especially with a totally new system. Otamendi is picking up and Stones looks more ruthless. They will keep improving. With more additions that suit Guardiola's system, they will play better. |

I did not want to say this but after watching today's game I think it just might be true. pep wants Nacho to fail! every single game that he plays Nacho he always leaves out an integral part of his team so that the quality of the supply to nacho will be reduced eventually denying him of the possibility to show his talents. he is obviously doing this because the owners of man city love Nacho but they live trophies more, come January when Jesus comes he will point at Nacho's Ned games and crucify him because of that, because I cannot see why Silva did not start this match |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Nobody: 5:52pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
Mickael2:Bro I did not watch the gane but from the commentaries I read, Nacho lost 2 good chances. He had his chance but did not take it. You cannot blame Pep for that. You can only blame Nacho. Pep perhaps wanted to conserve the strength of his main team against lowly burnley, and it was up to Nacho to perform. But he didnt. Perhaps Nacho should take a loan move. I read Watford wants him on loan. He stands a better chance of benching Ighalo and partnering successfully with Isaac and Deneey at Watford which would bring him massive improvements. The situation at city seems to be killing his confidence. I say....NACHO SHOULD GO ON LOAN!! |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Nobody: 5:56pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:Lol Nacho is on many levels above yeboah. Nacho will get games and perform on loan move. Remember the pre season games when Nacho was dominating teams in USA. That is the kind of player he is. City under Pep is tinkering with his confidence. He needs to move. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 7:40pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
onirugbon:Go on loan because he missed 2 chances? Tom Heaton is one of the finest goalkeepers in all of England, he has clean sheets again man u and liverpool that should tell u all u need to know. He got his chance to start becos of his hard work. Every once in a while Aguero will piss Pep off with his poor attitute towards training and so Iheanacho just has to expect this kind of chances to come his way and set his mind to deliver. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Nobody: 7:45pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
BascoVanVeli:Go on loan because he is not getting minutes.. When Aguero was injured, he preferred Nolito and Sterling as his strikers. Iheanacho should go to a place where he will be given 90 minutes to score and not taken off when he does not score in the first half. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 8:30pm On Jan 02, 2017 |
onirugbon: I disagree. Today, apart from his finishing (which was not all down to him), we saw Nacho showing ability in the air. Definitely better than the improvement we saw in his last game. He showed outstanding mobility and as I pointed out, Nacho showed movement with the ball. That curling shot that was deflected was goal bound. I have no doubt that Nacho would have gone to another club on loan and scored goals. Probably be one of the talked about players in the EPL. However, the mobility training, aerial strength, increased movement with the ball and high pressing he developed so far has made him a better player. There is still room for improvement which I do not feel a loan move will guarantee. |

tbaba1234: You are more interested in Iheanacho scoring than improving. If Iheanacho continues improving, with a decent run, he will score more. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Nobody: 8:32pm On Jan 02, 2017 |

tbaba1234:So we are still back to square one. Explain how Iheanacho's pressing, mobility, aerial presence and stamina improved. Is it by playing regularly? |
