There have been different news of ladies on different platforms praying hard to God for a suitor to come their way this calendar year.

There was even the news of a lady claiming she might have to steal someones elses husband if no come comes soonest.

This is evident that Good Husband is really hard to find, (even the bad one self).

While christianity preaches Monogamy , Islam gives room for Polygamy (with conditions), which can help salvage the situation. But many of us (both bro and sis) are reluctant adopt/accept or practice it.

Now the question, if the scenario below plays out, ....please what will be you most sincere response.

ZAYNAB: Said to her husband: honey did you remember Zhulaikah that my old Ukty (Sister/friend) we graduated together?

YUSUF: Yes, what happen to her he asked?

ZAYNAB: Nothing, just that I feel for her she's (33-years) now but yet to get husband.

YUSUF: SubuhanAllah! May ALLAH provide good Muslim husband to marry her.

ZAYNAB: Amin, honey but you are a good Muslim brother can you please bring her in.

YUSUF: You mean I should marry her as second wife

ZAYNAB: Yes honey, please help her am ready to welcome her as my sister because, the Prophet said you are not a believer until you wish for others what you wish for yourself...


My question goes to the Muslim Sisters and brothers

Sisters, can you accept this or can you advice your Zawju (husband) to do this for your Friend/Sister (Qawa/'Yar-uwa)

Brothers, can you accept such a kind and sincere offer?

Please be sincere...

this reminds me of what i heard in a lecture yesterday...

"the same way women will never want a rival with their husbands, the same way a man thinks about having a rival for her"

Well I will be pretty honest. A man has the rights to four wives. I havent yet decided if I want him to give up that right or not when we marry but I dont think I will be the one suggesting that my husband gets a second wife.
If he decides on his own to do (after at least informing me and reassuring me and allowing me meet with her before he marries her) then thats fine but I would never ever suggest that he marries someone else.
Although I am generally nice and kind hearted, I am also jealous.

Actually the point of deliberation here is not the husband having the intention to do it, but u persuading him out of love or concern for your sister or friend.

I don't think I would even be making suggestion talkless of persuasion. If he decides on his own thats another thing. I agree with ruqayiyas... I might suggest an uncle or cousin but not my husband. But then again lets get to the bridge before we cross it
