And the 45 or more players they have on loan, there is very little space for young players to break through in these big "money miss Road" clubs.

And when the money miss Road do you think it goes back to Abramovich.

There are numerous players and not all of them will make it at their parent club. However, it is different at City because those working at City worked at Barcelona and they have in mind to grow players from the academy into the team.

Iheanacho broke in. Dennis Suarez would have if not that he had personal issues and decided to return to Spain. With time, we will have some quality home grown players.

Money did not miss road because there is also plans to give back through the academy. These academies give these boys better lives.

Seriously if goalkeepers must be ball jugglers, I wonder why Guardiola didn't play Ronaldinho or Deco in goal so they can play from the back.
They were the 2 best players with the ball at their feet at Barca.

Because they have no keeping ability. There is a reason why there is the term sweeper keeper. Is there a keeper to Ronaldinho or Deco's position?

You call a man who created one of the best artworks, if not the best ever artwork in football a dull coach. It is his art. HE WHO CONTROLS THE BALL CONTROLS THE GAME. Alex Ferguson and Beckenbauer do not think Guardiola is dull.
well.Alex Ferguson recommended David Moyes as a good successor for him when he retired and we all saw how rhat decision went, so, not to yab Fergie the Great, but sometimes, his opinion isn't so precise

And what is "He who Controls the ball controls the game"? Is it football or yoga we're talking of? For all of Bravo's control, City has been losing control of the game a lot

If you know the politics of money settlements and arrangement that goes on in most academies you will understand why.

City really don't have time to wait for you to develop they need success now not tomorrow.
You obviously didn't catch the joke.

Please, we are one of the best possessive team in the EPL. We control the game, create chances. Our problems lie in finishing and defensive organization. From the best of my knowledge, we won four of our last five games.

Stop the running with the dull talk. You know Guardiola is not dull. It defeats an objective debate. Guardiola won ten straight matches this season. Beat Barcelona this season. We have beating Arsenal too.

How can you believe a dull man can achieve this?

In a short time, he is one of the most decorated coaches in the game. Na wa.

The first thing to do is check who his agents are that may give you some insight.

Green is very true but what makes him worth £10milla what's his unique selling point or outstanding ability.

Two feet is not enough
I agree that he is overpriced..

Can you elaborate on the agent angle?

Osimhen :"The right place for me"

Victor Osimhen officially presented as VfL’s latest signing.

Since January 1st, Victor Osimhen has officially been a part of VfL Wolfsburg. Upon beginning their collaboration with the Ultimate Striker’s Academy, the 18-year-old Nigerian and the Wolves had the intention of definitively finalising the move as from 2017. At the training camp in La Manga, the 1,85 meter tall attacker, was officially presented as a Green-White on Thursday.

"We have been intensively observing Victor’s development over a long period and we were able to secure the signing in spite of interest from big clubs from abroad. Victor‘s profile totally fits into our philosophy of not only developing talented young players from within the club, but also binding foreign players to VfL in the long-term," explained VfL’s Sporting director Olaf Rebbe.

Top-scorer at the U17-World Cup in 2015

Osimhen captured the attention of the broader public during the U17 World Cup in Chile, with Nigeria claiming the title and the striker earning the top-scorer accolade with ten goals in the tournament. Rebbe. "We pay close attention to international tournaments in all age-groups. The U17 World Cup in Chile proved particularly interesting. In Ismail Azzaoui, Josip Brekalo and now Victor Osimhen, we have three players in our squad that participated in that tournament.
"
Fast and with an eye for goal

Head-coach Valérien Ismaël commented on the qualities of the new man, who was twice in Wolfsburg as a guest player: "Although just 18, Victor already possesses great presence in attack. He has a good eye for goal and is fast for a lad of his height. He does need to build up a bit physically and get used to how football is played in Germany, but we intend to help him take those steps."

VfL’s number 18

The young Nigerian took questions from the journalists on Wednesday in English, but is already busily learning German. One of the words the youngster has already learned is "kämpfen" (battling), which he intends to implement on the football pitch. "I’d like to thank the coach and the sporting director for having me here, giving me this chance and for believing in me. Wolfsburg is the right place for me to get my career started. It’s up to me to give something back now. To do that, I must work hard and learn," said Osimhen in his first interview as a Green-White.
Steady integration

And it’s not only the prospects making Osimhen feel right at home in Wolfsburg either. He is already getting on very well with his new team mates. "They are all very friendly to me and tell me lots about the club," explained the striker, who is still being cautious following knee surgery in the autumn. "When I’m needed, I want to help the team, but I am a young player and I can wait until my time comes."

According to his club (ADO Den Haag) website, Tyronne Ebuehi has accepted an invite for a game against Senegal in March.

I haven't watched him so I don't know how good he is and if he has enough quality for the National team.

Now compare him to Aina at Chelsea who is competing against international and world class players for a position.

Don't be decieved prior to Guardiola the academy coaches are about 95% British even now there isn't much change. First team level yes not at the academy.

I could probably name at least 8/9 people in that academy who I know Well, wellu, well all are running deal, chop clean mouth and go. At one stage you had Father and son as coaches in the same academy.

What you see are the guys who were allowed to make it not the guys who were not allowed to make it or made to make way for the big money youth players acquired.

NUFF SAID I could say a lot more but what's the point I an not here to win a debate but to share experiences.

At the end, the club is churning out talents. Good ones. You read of the three at the club Yaw Yeboah is. Posting impressive performances. So I can not use flaws in a little part of the system to discredit the whole process.

Lol Nacho is on many levels above yeboah. Nacho will get games and perform on loan move.

Remember the pre season games when Nacho was dominating teams in USA. That is the kind of player he is. City under Pep is tinkering with his confidence.

All agents make arrangements the bigger the agency the greater the network and ability to influence. It's marketing by manipulation of media as well as using link up within the club.

There was a reporting quoting Mikel telling Aina to play for us. The boy was using Mikel to play kite. The ball is in his court. I think he thinks he has a future with England. Talk to him if you have access to him.

komekn, look at this:

"I keep asking him: 'When are you going to come and play for Nigeria?' and he jokes: 'Whenever you come and invite me I will play!" Mikel told Goal. "I think it is something that we would have to discuss.

"If he wants to play, we would have to speak to the federation and make sure that he really wants to play for Nigeria. If he is ready, we can talk about, but in the few times we have talked about it, he hasn’t given me a very positive, decisive answer to take back to the FA.

"I need a positive answer for me to take the case forward to the FA. We will see what happens."

has he finally reasoned his life?

Did he watch the game against Algeria and thought "oh boy, true true these people fit qualify for World Cup and I go make the squad"?

Did he look through a list of Europe's best players and come to the conclusion that he's a small fish in a big pond?

Did he read the big moves our players are making and feel, "this could be me, but I no dey play international football"?

Or did he finally decide that his agent is talking bullocks and shouldn't be taken seriously if he wants a great career?

Anyway whatever it was, I'm happy he made this decision on time, before he would have become another Onuorah singing the blues

He should go and collect junior boys form from Iwobi and Kelechi
That guy should not be allowed anywhere near the super eagles. I hate players who look down on Nigeria.

Letter To My Chelsea Family - John Mikel Obi

After 10 years, 374 appearances and 11 trophies, it is time for me to say goodbye.

I say goodbye as a champion of England, a champion of Europe, and proud captain of my national team.

To play in the Premier League, the best league in the world, is every professional player's ambition.

But to play for Chelsea, to become part of the Chelsea family, to work with some of the best managers and players in the world, has truly been an honour.

To Mr Abramovich. The club's staff, coaches, physios, and to the managers I played under at Chelsea, I want to say thank you.

But my biggest thanks must go to the Blues fans. You brought me into the Chelsea family, you sung my name, and were there with us every step of the way.

As you will know, I haven't featured as much as I would have liked, and at 29 I still have many years in the game ahead of me. With this in mind, I feel now is the time to seek a new challenge.

I'm delighted to be joining Tianjin Teda in China, at a time that the Chinese Super League is really taking off, and I look forward to helping Tianjin Teda continue to grow both on and off the pitch in the next few years.

To everyone at Chelsea – goodbye, and thank you. You will always be part of who I am, and I wish you the best of luck. I could not be happier to be saying goodbye with the club back where it belongs - top of the league.

Wish Odogwu the best. John Mikel Obi is really a great servant for Club and country.

What is most impressive are his reactions when coaches drop him from the starting line-up. He never complained but waited for his turn.

I pray he has a successful and fruitful time at China.

I salute John Mikel Obi the Super Eagles Odogwu.

LOLS.

Boss, you can be done. See this point, form wins. That was why Hierro took a free kick and our experience Peter Rufai thought it was going out and failed to cover. Then he escorted the ball into the net.

Bia Nu, why did experience not help him dia.
Yes Peter Rufai had a very bad tournament like other players at France 98.Pls go and watch Nig vs Denmark and see how Sand turned Taribo and Okechucwu inside out.

Did u know how Rufai make France 98?we had a serious crisis in goalkeeping dept, our NO 1 choice Ike shorunmu had injury in his last league match for fc grasshopper and not forgetting Dosu already had an accident that ruled him out of active football for life.

It should be noted that prior to France 98,we had series of friendly matches and keepers in camp like Abiodun Baruwa couldn't live up to expectations and d only option was to call Rufai at d last minute who was still active either with Farense or deportivo la coruna,i cannot recollect.

So Rufai choice at France 98 was due to Shorunmu injury and did u know Rufai was even on vacation in Spain when he got d invitation letter.
