TheGoodJoe:lol Since he isn't omnipresent, his philosophy, not globally efficient, or always triumphant, then I doubt his efficiency in EPL. Simple. His priorities this time just aren't right since he entered Man city. Is the criticism unfair, I wouldn't, cos I know that he had left time at Bayern and still perform so the is of giving him time to me isn't an excuse.... |

TheGoodJoe:Really? I didn't know Popoola's name was Sadiq |

daveP: If we control the ball enough, we are not to spend time defending but playing the ball. When we lose the ball without control or shape, we are off the philosophy. When we create chances and do not score, the opponents have a chance of countering us and causing us problems. That is why Bravo not saving is not the focus but us getting more comfortable in controlling the game, creating chances and making the most of these chances. |

I safarigirl:that is one of pepe's supposedly global philosophies, and now EPL seems not to agree with it by making nonsense of it. Arsene Wenger himself had to balance. |

daveP:Why else are people getting worked up? When Ike Uche called Keshi a liar where was all this hoopla? I ask, what if Enyeama is a type of guy that knows every single call he has missed and Rohr didn't in fact call him like he said? Which one of u know Rohr so well that u can vouch for his honesty? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:06pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
daveP:It takes time to adapt his philosophy to the EPL because a lot of his players are not ideal. Key players in the midfield like Gundogan is yet to get a good run. Fernandinho who is one of the key passing midfielders of City has missed about five EPL games. Guardiola could not secure his defensive targets like Laporte and Bonucci. Kompany has not gotten a good run this season. So it will take time to sort these out. The media criticism is funny when you look at the situation holistically. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:09pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
BascoVanVeli: Enyeama's response is uncultured. We should not defend such. He should contact the coach and sort it out. I do not agree with him lashing out. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:11pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
daveP: Tah. That is not true. Mignolet better than Bravo. What have you been watching. Bravo is plain good. Mignolet is not close. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by daveP(m): 2:13pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:Well he should have prepared for the. EPL media. He perhaps underrated them. And still yet, thanks for confirming my opinion.... Pep needs to wake up fast. Just like the billboard that welcomes one to Lagos "This is Lagos" it says and not "welcome to lagos" as other states in Nigeria shows. Pep, this is the EPL. |

BascoVanVeli:Okay, you have a point but what does Rohr wanna gain with this stunts if it's all a lie? Enyeama is one of the respected Footballers in this country, and even Rohr knows that. So why try this cheap stunt esp when he knows sides would be taken in reaction? Enyeama has responded now and it's looking even funny now. He should just manage a situo rather than applying the same annoying response tactics(which we supported him for in the past) |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 2:18pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
daveP: Pep already said it will take time. Even when we won six straight EPL games, Pep said we can not win the league playing that way. The media has nothing to say. Just regurgitating the same stuff. From start, Guardiola said he will need time. He said it will take years for City to become like some of the top European teams. So I wonder what people mean by he underrated the EPL. Definitely they are not talking of Pep. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by daveP(m): 2:25pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:Thanks for that conditional word "if" which proves that Pep's philosophy is not even working and it's affecting his best players. Does Pep ever adapt to his environ atal? This is where Mou is better than him, the adaptation level. Watch and adapt. Conte did, Villa Boas didnt Matteo did Why must Pep be the only one? |

TheGoodJoe:footwork. Footwork!!! I've watched 11 of Liverpool's games this season and that is my verdict |

BascoVanVeli:people were well aware of Keshi's antecedents having formed a 'mafia' during his playing days against the coach, so really, if you wanted to defend Keshi against Uche , there would be someone around to remind you that Keshi was notorious as well, so what is he standing on? Plus, it's not like Keshi spoke of recalling Ike Uche a lot that period, it was just one question that brought Ike up and Keshi gave that reply On the other hand, Rohr is a new coach, a coach who spoke highly of Enyeama until this latest fracas. I remember when Rohr was insisting on getting Enyeama back and how important he was to the team, even then most of us here were against such recall.....now tell me, why will someone who has spoken so highly of Enyeama until now suddenly tell a lie against him? Is that normal? When you try to put a racist spin on things, you end up sounding racist yourself. So, you're doubting Rohr because he's a white man? Maybe if he was black like you, Enyeama would be at fault...so, let's go the usual nigga route and blame the white man for oppressing us. If you don't think that sounds wrong, then you need to check yourself |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 2:59pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
TheGoodJoe:Uncultured? A grown man in the free world can say what he wants. He is not the captain of the SE. This is merely a tabliod issue, it has no relevance to our team, the man said he has retired. Stop treating him like he still plays for Nigeria. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by BascoVanVeli(m): 3:26pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
safarigirl:Who said racism? If me saying white man offends u oops but Rohr is in fact white. That said do we really know Rohr? Do we know if he ever had a mafia past? I would think a coach should be respected based on the fact that he is The Coach not if he was a brat as a player. Rohr speaking highly of Enyeama is ok but Conte also spoke highly about Mikel. I hate that i sound against Rohr but bare with me, Rohr said Enyeama told him he would go to Russia if we qualified, Rohr has said alot of things, what if those were all false and Enyeama finally got tired of it? Now if this was the story will u still raise ur hand and blame the guy? |

BascoVanVeli:so his footwork won him all those titles? He was the only one on the pitch ba? No you should pass me what you're smoking. Or rather ask Joe, cos he said there's none like Bravo when it comes to footwork. So how does titles justify his footwork? Add the price of the weed besides ![]() Just like saying Valdes was better than Casillas cos he won lots of titles with Barca! Cmon that's laughable and hilarious..... De Gea hasn't won much with Man U, does that take away the fact that he isn't world class? Chai When it comes to better footwork, who is Bravo, near Mignolet? Lemme not go further sef... |

daveP:The season is still on. Guardiola's football is far different from the English culture adapting will take more time than others. If you want to scream Mourinho us better than him, Good. I wonder how Mourinho's brilliant adaptation talent almost relegated Chelsea and broke poor results record. Please. |

daveP:Show me a video compilation of Mignolet passing the ball. Let them show like we see of Bravo and ter Stegen. I am waiting. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by safarigirl(f): 4:57pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
BascoVanVeli:Exactly, you don't know Rohr, so on what basis are you judging him the liar? You don't even know the Enyeama you're standing up for, but because he's the black man, hey, let's put a stake through Rohr's heart. |

daveP:Mignolet’s Passing: Poor Ability Or Lack Of Options? Southampton were victorious over Liverpool on Saturday for a variety of reasons; being clinical in the box and competitive all over the pitch being two very important ones. But they also pressed from the front to limit the Reds’ passing options, knowing full well that Mignolet is not particularly comfortable on the ball, and sure enough, the big Belgian gave possession over to them twenty-one times over the course of the match. https://basstunedtored.com/2013/09/22/mignolets-passing-poor-ability-or-lack-of-options/ BascoVanVeli you can imagine the bolded and this guy is comparing him to Bravo. Please I am begging you, do not try that stuff he puffs. It is some real good s***

BascoVanVeli:you forgot to add Barca flop... For Barcelona to have sold that guy after one season, goes to show he's not as good as anyone wants us to believe. Barcelona doesn't sell great players after one seasom |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 5:04pm On Jan 06, 2017 |
safarigirl: Bravo did not flop at Barcelona and Barcelona wanted him to stay He chose to go because of a chance to work with Guardiola. Also, Enrique rotated him and ter Stegen. He played the league while ter Stegen Champions League. It was an emotional departure, not flop in any way. |

safarigirl: Bravo kept in 37 straight League games and was the goalkeeper in the La Liga team of the season. He was no way a flop. |

safarigirl:GABRIEL JESUS NOT A THREAT TO IHEANACHO - Guardiola Hints "He (Gabriel Jesus) can play as a winger making movements outside, inside, but of course he has to play close to the goal," Guardiola said. "He's not a typical winger down the line like Ras [Raheem Sterling] or Jesus [Navas]. He has to live in front of the goal. "He has a good sense of the goal, he makes good movements and runs in behind. You have to use him close to Sergio, close to our strikers." http://www.sportalnz.gearbox.performgroup.com/football/english-football/no-pressure-on-gabriel-jesus-as-pep-guardiola-eyes-sergio-aguero-link-up-manchester-city/h38spgv4cqve16ksp2y04gcoe Guardiola plans to use him in a more creative way to supply the strike force and also score too. This does not mean Guardiola might not use him as a striker or false nine. However, the Manchester City boss vision is clear. Aguero and Iheanacho are his strikers. He does not plan to use Gabriel as one. |

safarigirl:One of the things about NFF communication with players it is facilitated by other officials, who may not be the most efficient. Did he have the right number, did he call at the right time, for instance training usually starts at 9.30 am may not end until 2.30/3.00pm. During this period your phones off. There are a multitude of scenarios that can cause a breakdown of communication. Enyeama is not a liar, a man of integrity yes from all I have heard. |

komekn:It is possibly a misunderstanding but Enyeama's response was over the top. Call the coach and clarify matters. These things happen. |
