I'm sorry I've never been a fan of nollywood, reason being that nothing surprises me.

I'm a Hollywood fan, cuz their tricks beat my imagination.

Here are few tricks in Before and After pix.

That one with the tiger is life of pi, the other is john carter

that picture of the transparent man is from the movie : Hollow Man. watched it many years back when I was in secondary sch. I can't forget a scene where the "hollow man" had to "transparently" suck a lady's bossom.

damn! see? What we watch as teenagers could have effects on our minds for life.

Nne. it is not as easy as they have made it look o. Time,energy and money are invested here. These are called CGI- computer generated images. To achieve all these you will need technicians who are good with animations. trust me, these people don't charge peanuts. If a Nigerian is sure of making a lot from movies like this I am sure he/she would have done it but Piracy dey scare producers.

Also, to a very large extent, Nollywood is boxed in the drama category & less of action, sci-fi etc; cos most people can relate to it- that's our reality. That is not to say vfx shouldn't & couldn't be integrated but for the factors you've listed.
We are gradually increasing our distribution scope beyond DVD to foreign markets, online streaming, VoD etc. So I believe soon enough, we'll be attempting some CGIs (at least I will soon)
