What could two grown men be doing on their knees talking to another? If this picture doesnt come as off to you, then it means this cultural 'respect' problem has eaten too deep into our society's fabric. Shouldnt a "leader" correct members if they are bestowing an unwholesome regard to him? Jesus washed his disciples feet..to drive home the point that he's there to serve them. No tradition should be stronger than your religious persuation. Jesus developed such a loving and inviting relationship with his disciples such that he allowed a beloved disciple rest on his bossom...John 13:23..."Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved...". You mean the successor to Adeboye is not comfortable enough to sit or stand while talking with the 'world-wide' G.O.? Hmmm... If they are comfortable with it, fine. I don't believe they were forced, we have different forms of expression and must not look down on other peoples way. The western way is not the only way neither is it the superior way. |
