While I agree not everyone has to have a degree do not speak down on education. While she may be making money selling moi moi and that's good, we still need education to move the country forward in areas such as science and research etc. And point of correction bill gates and mark zuckerberg both saw the four walls of a university, they only dropped out when they saw better prospects with the business they started in same university eg Harvard gave zuckerberg the platform to start facebook before he went commercial. Also don't forget it's one thing to start a business, it's another to grow it into a sustainable successful business and that's why bill gates partnered with Steve balmer which came with the skills and knowledge to commercialise and scale his ideas. That's why mark zuckerberg partnered with Sheryl Sandberg who helped commercialise and grow the company to the level he was able to go public. LifeofAirforce1: 4 Likes |

Adiwana: You are missing the point. Sorry to say it, but your certificate is completely worthless. Have you ever bothered to ask yourself what a certified Guidance and Counselling graduate or a certified zoologist is doing in a bank as a staff? What it means is that I can as well train my neighbour's son in SS3 to do the same job in the bank rather than sending him to spend four to five worthless years in the university just for him to become a certified zoologist. At least, I know that with his knowledge and experience, he will function well as a banker with or with no certificate... I don't know if you're getting my point now? |

sekem:Yes,but Generalising still doesn't make Certificate worthless.Rather this issue,is a Nigerian factor thats only driven by Corruption.Outside Nigeria like the US,an engineer has no business with the banking sector. My point exactly is this;Generalising is not true. But considering Nigeria as a case study,it's to a Degree,True |

LifeofAirforce1: Nothing wrong with emphasizing education. It is supposed to enlighten one and broaden one's horizon. Bill Gates actually saw the four walls of a university. He was a Harvard drop out. So was mark founder of Facebook. I can't spell his name. Steve Jobs dropped out of school only because he could not afford it. Bill gates and Mark were lucky to know what they wanted to do early in life. Not everyone is that lucky. But they do not discredited getting an education. The problem might simply be that most people think that getting an education means getting a white collar job afterwards. Instead of understanding that an education means doing whatever one is passionate about with more enlightenment and class. Dbanj, Tiwa Savage... Are probably better artists because of their education. All the members of Pentatonix have university degrees. Kelvin O has a degree from Harvard, which might be why they've been able to market themselves so well, and winning Grammy awards. I'm sure they not actually the best accapella group, but... 1 Like |

An the controversy rages on... Graduate selling moi-moi. Aside seeing her selling and you asked her or someone told you she is a graduate; did you do a further investigation on why she is selling moi-moi which ofcourse is not a crime? Why does it always appear as if every graduate you see at a level you don't think they should be are always serious brilliant, and ready to work graduates? I have relative who partied all through university despite all advice from family and friends, got a 3rd class in this very competitive Nigeria. Now everybody is facing hardship in the family and he now has to work as house help to generate money to go for a PGD then later masters because 2.2 an 2.1 graduates are everywhere. He is now looking for what he should have gotten with ease 6yrs ago. If you see some of these graduates, don't just rush to NL with their pics and hustle. Engage them further and you may just find out its deeper than your eyes can see. |

Ironically, from my personal engagement with young employees in both the public and private sectors they are " just working" 7 out of every 10 wish they had their own small businesses and be their own bosses. I for one wish I could have this lady's courage and expertise to sell Moi-Moi. I will as a graduate come up with a more pimped up way of packaging it, identify and create a bigger market for it. Synergies by turning into a joint with Akamu and Garri available and use the internet to market my Moi-Moi joint. Before you know beans fit join and people wll begin to ask if I fit dey do delivery for their offices. Which means I will be needing more hands and that means will become an employer of labour. It's very easy with hardwork, dedication and God's support through your prayers and alms giving to poor people around you. 2 Likes |

Only an illiterate will make the comment you have made. Why is so much emphasis given to education? So stupid. The people you mentioned had admission in best schools in USA but they have learned and discovered more than the school could give to them, that's why they dropped out. Make your research well. The Nigerian education system is messed up because the govt don't care about it as they have no stake in it because their children are studying abroad. One would spend years in schools only to come out and start looking for job for another 20 years. This is why Nigeria is messed up. LifeofAirforce1: |

If you want to know how beautiful it is to own your own business just Youtube DJ khalid, Damon Dash and may be Rick Ross. Am yet to see anybody on earth that drives me to want to be my own Man than DJ khalid. The guy makes working for someone or government appear like imprisonment. That Moi Moi lady will get more respect in the eyes of Damon Dash and DJ Khalid than a bank Manager. Who comes begging them for account to meet target. The Moi- Moi lady is Boss and her Moi-Moi is Major keys. 2 Likes |

NaijaMutant:obviously the song they usually sing to us back in the days can not be applied any longer. Those days our teachers in primary school used to sing to us Bata 're adun kokoka tobakawe e bata 're a dun kokoka.tioba ba kawe re bata 're adun sororo Nile. Those days we always dreamed of going to the university and when we see undergraduates and university students we always admire them and want to be like them.but now.it's a sorry case they gave us the impression that if you go to the university and you graduate you'll automatically become a bigman/big madam 1 Like |

jesusson22: I commend her, she is really brave, many graduates would not try such for the fear of what her former course mates would say. Op @colored, please be careful with the information you pass across, what do you mean by N20K profit a day, do you even know what that means ? Biggest lie of the century. Now lets do the maths, the highest amount she can sell each is N50, except the ones with eggs which could/would be sold for N100, now her profit from each can not exceed N20 at most, Op do you know how many N20 that is in N20K ? Are you now tell us she sells over a thousand pieces a day ? Please, stop hyping your article just to excite your readers, this is the reason why the Govt. Go about over taxing people. She probably said she made that amount monthly and she is cool with it,, God bless her for that unlike her fellow sisters that are looking for husbands to over borden with their financial responsibilities. 1 Like |

NaijaMutant: What about selling fried chicken like KFC? You see at the end of the day it is how you apply your education that matters. How do you package your product? Do you provide variety? Can you increase the shelf life? Can you have several outlets or distribution points making your product the go-to version? Moi Moi is no different from KFC, Burger or doritos or rice like Mr.Biggs. It's all about packaging. |
