A lot of people just like to talk trash about their country once they get out.
What have you done for Nigeria?
Aren't you encouraging corruption as well?
In traffic do you practice right of way? You'd rather curse the man in front of you for allowing traffic on the left.
Same people flagrantly disobeying the laws in Nigeria but will become incredibly obedient whilst abroad. Although some of them are goats still, they go abroad with their filth and disobedience. Just saying.. God bless Nigeria

PS: There are filthy areas everywhere, even in the states you have Ajegunle. It's good to admire the system that works but learn to encourage and make your country better as well. It starts with you!
Yep

And America is not perfect and Nigerian is a good place 2 be. she only needs some work.

Pls friend... Tell me u didn't vote for Buhari?

Not true. There's Canada, Germany, Austrai, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland... all really nice countries - some with even better benefits than you'd get in the US. The biggest advantage to being in the US for me is the privilege of being able to go to other countries without much of a hassle. the idea that i'd have to queue at a consulate begging some young fellow for a visa to visit his country for 2 days makes me feel sorry for being born on this side of the planet.
Baba, when I say yankee na the place you should know what I mean. Those priviledge you mention above is even enough to qualify her as a COUNTRY.
Talk of freedom, liberty, good life to mention but a few, am not saying you can't derive such in other countries but the uniqueness of yankee above other country is second to none. What am I even saying, yankee na paradise jor.

Anyone who doesn't put the interest of their families first before a country, specifically one created by Britain who just put different tribes together who don't even like each other is an idiot. While you're busy building Nigeria, politicians have already got their children out and are making a plan to leave as well once their term is over. If the people elected to build the country don't believe in her own progression, then your effort will be useless. In Nigeria you take one step forward then 2 step backwards. Its pointless and we all know it.

Thank you for this. They want a ready made country forgetting that it's people/human beings like them that made it work. If you criticize their way of thinking they will insult you, America needs to watch out for these desperate migrants who only want to reap but not sow anything

"My fellow Americans ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country " John F Kennedy. This is the kind of mindset that made America what it is today

For all of you critizing your country what contribution have you made towards its growth?

They can migrate if they like but ridiculing a country which they have contributed nothing towards its development shows who they are. They say there is tribalism here but they are the ones calling others "Afonjas" "IPOB YOUTH" etc

I don't blame anyone of them, they're tired of being patrotic to a country doesn't cares about her citizens.

You said Nigeria CAN be good, this shows you're doubting... You also need to tell us the things that are developing in Nigeria

This is not a matter of voting better. No one knows the better one. They won't write 'I'm better' on their forehead.

If there's one thing i regret, i regret not moving early enough to USA.

We will be considering your put in effort to make Nigeria better story if the following were the case.

If we have 150 to 200 years to live(life is short)

If election rigging is not a normal thing in Nigeria

If the problem of Nigeria is one thing and can be fixed by just doing one thing.
Our problem is deeply rooted in a lot of things, ranging from corruption to tribalism to backwardness to high rate of illiteracy Etc. It will take years of serious work to fix here

Lastly, if most of us dont have the same mindset as you. All talk and no action, probably changing Nigeria will be feasible.

Come down to naija and Start trying to make the system better.
Just leave their country, come home and get a glimpse of what this country is truly like. Not what you read on the internet

No. Maybe if you got it from the UK/US and you do a equivalent, and convert it into Canadian qualifications (I'm in Canada). Those two countries shouldn't have a problem. But from Nigeria, no or it'd be very hard. Even if you do get it converted, when employers see that Nigerian qualification they'd rather hire someone with Canadian qualification any way. You just can't trust qualifications from Nigeria. You have many illiterates with degrees from naija. Levels get levels. But if here, spend 3-4 years to get a relevant qualification and you'll be ok.

Not ok
