Assad own is different, He hasn't conducted any election but US and Saudi want to relieve him of power by creating a group of radicals(insurgents) just because he's a Shia Muslim and Saudis don't want that hence, their collabo with US. Surely, US will collect something in return nah....Russia then decided to back Assad

His action was similar to that of one late man I knew in Nigeria. The man even executed some of his senior officers simply because they couldn't penetrate Yoruba land. And he ran away when it was his time to show bravery and courage. Very funny.

I do not know why this man is so stubborn. If he had conceded defeat, he would have handed over peacefully and would have still remained in the country to support and assist the Adama Barrow. He may also be award by this country and other countries for handing over peacefully like GEJ did in Nigeria. But now they have to fish him out of this hole and probably jail him and bring some corruption charges on him.

African leaders should learn to quit when the ovation is loudest. He will go down in history as one of the disgraced leaders. Barrow shouldn't give the people of Gambia the reason to wish for his return though. God bless Nigeria

Nothing sinister it's just the new regional trend, it will be difficult for any ruler that looses an election to hold on to power.

If you check the records from 1957 till date, West African nations tend to follow the same pattern in politics and development.
