We live in a country where you're OYO and doesn't give a fück or damn about your life. When you eventually get the job through thick and thin, the useless govt will not allow you enjoy your money, they'd make it valueless. You provide your security, power, water etc just name them.. All they ever think is how to exploit nd fleece the masses of their HARD EARNED resources..... Somebody should just tell me who the govt has ever help .):< |

Job seeking has been frustrating for me. As one of the major way out for employment is through connection. That is one thing my illiterate parents could not afford for me aside education. I applied for FIRS have not heard from them. Finger crossed. |

I finished serving last year April ...got a no pay job with a tech firm in abj... After hundreds of applications and One Interview , with millions of promises from families...I finally came to my senses ...So I stopped applying, quit the No pay job and started thinking about how I can be better and earn on my own.... I embraced the world of freelancing , gave it my all and I can say God as been faithful ever since. To people out there, I know how frustrating it can be with no job and no hope but seriously just think outside the box... - the govt doesn't have that help - private companies make unrealistic demands - people will always make promises just to make it look like they share ur pain Its better to earn peanuts on your own that to wait for a million dollar job that might not come ....please visit the business the business section of nairaland too , Miracles happen there..... God bless |

I completed my NYSC last year November with a second-class upper in computer science . I swore never to carry certificate in search of any job. I'm currently working as a freelancer on Fiverr and since November till now, the least I've warned in a month is 110k. how many entry-level jobs will give you that kinda pay ![]() anyways, I'm working towards setting up an IT agency offering services to businesses; Web development, Branding, Digital marketing, Networking, training and consulting, Hardware repairs. |

Do you know how frustrating it is when you know you shouldn't be demanding from parents but you still end up demanding from them, you are the head of the family and you have no job to show for it... But what can one do.....One has to just move on.. One day will be one day.. I am a graduate of Environmental Health Science, completed NYSC 2015, I am open to a job that pays esp if it is a safety officer job.. mikkypel@yahoo.com |

All these while on Nairaland, I've been hopeful that something of this nature would come up some day. I can help with those who would want to teach English language or Geography in a private school in Minna. If you have little experience, your start up would be up to 60K. If you don't, we are looking at about 50k. The school has a lodge for those who just came to Minna and have no one to stay with. So if you get the job, you'll stay there for up to 6 months before you move to your own apartment. If you stay around Abuja or a middle belt state, I'll advice you give it a try. And I would assist in my own little way in footing your transportation fare back to your base. Tenk! |

Am a fresh Geology graduate from FUPRE but have an NCE in physics and chemistry, left my well paying teaching job to go do my Bsc in Geology sometime I kinda regret nw. My challenge of recent is that I have submitted CVs and application letters to schools so as to get back to my first love Teaching but non of the numerous schools have called me back. Infact I hardly see the head admin or teacher. In one the very few cases where I saw one he told me the truth which is that my CV may intimidate prospective employer especially school owner. He said my CV is suited for big companies and not teaching. This is because of my wealth of experience as a teacher who has worked very close with the government before, a Geologist with lots of field experience use of some its softwares, a Surveyor with lots experiences and use of lots of its softwares and a sales consultant with JumiaNigeria. I am currently thinking of striping my CV of many informations and details.... Who knew experiences in various endevours of life could be a curse.... |

Akalia:Nowadays, every company wants someone who is computer literate. Learn how to use the common Microsoft office packages (word, excel, powerpoint), learn how to use software relating to ur field if any. Use ur free time and look into HSE, public speaking... These are things that organizations may find valuable at different levels. If you have the money or somebody to sponsor u, acquire a certificate in project management. |
