That you are an indoor person sometimes can work out to your advantage, it gives you time to focus.
In today's world, you don't even need to know people in that sense.

Step 1 is identify what you are good at. Step 2 is find how you can be paid for it. Step 3. Keep on improving your skills
This is where Google becomes your best friend.
For the freelancing for example, you can google freelance writing jobs. There are sites like fiverr.com, upwork where people post services they need.

For the resume review, you can set up a site for that and even advertise it on Nairaland, and ask people to recommend you (as long as you are providing good service).

Just try to think wide is my advice. And to be afraid to start small.

I appreciate you for this, greatly too.

God will surely grant your heart desires.
But if I may come in, as a lady, while waiting for a job why not engaged yourself in spiritual things like coming closer to your God. Learn one or two trade that will help you in your husband house. E.g sawing, beat-making, even cooking. See you at the top.

it's good you asked grin I can sew and make beads though not expertly. Am a girl, so you shouldn't be asking me to go learn how to cook, cooking is natural to us grin. I just need a job cry

On the issue of God, I did not only draw closer to God, am always down at his feet where I have made my dwelling place. I have prayed and prayed that most times I begin to have doubts

Good day, i graduated at the ABU zaria with a 2:2 in physics but my career is now on the path of ICT as i am now more in to computers and other ICT gadgets. My pain is that i graduated at the age of 25 and i have written several tests and attended several interview and have applied in the civil service but with no luck since i dont know anyone in power, politics or influential as most of my friends. I am now 30 yrsof age and my chances of getting a job is further limited due to the age restriction by most recruiters as such i have given up hope as i no longer apply for jobs. I have a vission of started a mini ICT center but with no capital as i am stuck where i am. Although i still thank God every Day for life.
I can be helped by being offerred an ICT or natural science related job or a loan to start my ICT mini center. Number is 08123456503

I am graduate of forestry and wildlife management from federal university of agriculture, Abeokuta... I finished serving in march 2015, after that I worked briefly with a bank as a sales executive but unfortunately I lost my job last year October due to some reason.

Its been tough getting another job after then because I can't include the sales job experience in my CV due to some reason. Despite going for several interviews recently, no job yet but I believe I will get one soon.

Entrepreneurship is another thing I so much appreciate but funding is the issue.. I currently have small fish farm I am managing in our house but money to keep the business afloat is the issue...

I will so much appreciate someone that can help out with a job or support for my small business.

My email is isiakafemi0706@gmail.com

I am a civil engineering graduate. Then when I finish nysc, my thought was, I'm an engineer I will soon get a job. But it hasn't been easy. Had to leave my parent house for my brothers place because I've been termed a useless being by my dad. Nobody willing to help. Can still remember the day I was silently making supplications after subhi prayer when one man approached me. He said he has been seeing me frequently in mosque and that he want to know what I've been doing. I told him nothing and that I'm still waiting for God's time. He said he is going to help with my plight that I shouldn't worry.. Till now I've been regretting telling the man my plight cos he has not been coming to mosque like before ( cos he knows I will be in mosque) i'm even considering changing mosque because of him. I can take any job right now so far it's paying. I'm still waiting patiently for God's time cos I know God's time is the best.

The most painful part of my plight as a job seeker is that I am still under my parents roof and occasionally I get derogatory remarks from members of my household. It wasn't like this until I lost my former job; only GOD and my very self does know how much effort I have exercised in the bid to land myself the next job. I have experience in warehouse operations(warehouse supervisor, warehouse assistant, inventory officer) I am computer savvy, a holder of HND class certificate in one of the natural science courses. Please anyone that can assist me with any entry level job or a job relating to warehouse operation can please kindly come forward and make me an offer. My email is itekeemmanuelgozie@yahoo.com. Phone Number is 08034775268. The pay package is not my priority but I need to be engaged as an able body young man;doing something constructive and productive with my life. Thanks to all who care.

just persevere bro. It always happens.
I would advice you to do something else...learn a new skill to add to your cv.
These days, employers are more impressed by your skills than your degree class.
An impressive skill set will definitely get you a nice job.

The painful part is being called for interview, passing the interview but denied the job at Flour Mills, Cadbury, Nestle, etc. I'm a nutritionist staying in Owerri. Would love to work at Fmc, Owerri, but no connections. Or in any other institutions where I can practice my profession. Email chizobaiobioha@gmail.com

Ma nigga!! you're already setup for awesomeness na.
With all these skills, you should be a hot cake.

I would advice you to re-brand yourself. Packaging matters a lot.
Like they say, dress how you want to be addressed (it doesn't apply to only dressing)

Add your many skills to your CV... apply for jobs even outside your skill range. I was employed as an accountant but I'm more of the IT guy here. Your skills will get you very far. Just learn how to present yourself and you'll have many opportunities to choose from.

my pain is having to wait endlessly after sending thousands of online application. this pain is second to none! A regret mail will tell your application was perused.

thankfully my eyes are now opened to many ideas that i am going to develop and implement (10 businesses) God willing before 2017 ends.

I'm a graduate of MSc. Biochemistry.. (64%).. The hustle has been tight so far. I have written so many assessment, passed many and fail few but I've not been able to pass the interviews.
I'm a good critical thinker, I can provide solution to wide range of problems.

My weakness is that I'm not a good orator and I believe that the reason I've not been able to pass the interviews.

currently, I'm very depressed due to my last interview. I know I'm far better than what I portray at the interview....

I can take any job apart from marketing because of my weakness.

I'm currently working as an administrative assistant at a friend's shop...

Tomorrow will surely be better.

All you need is confidence and the ability to sell yourself. It doesn't happen in a day but it isn't impossible.
Read books on answering interview questions...read books on developing your confidence and public speaking skills. (you don't really need to buy..you can find material online)

Don't let your disappointments weigh you down...the more you reflect on them, the more they affect future performance. Only use them as a learning platform to avoid future mistakes.

Exactly what I needed. ..I just might find help here. I studied Civil Engineering and graduated at 20 (m not 23 yet)in 2014 with a 2:1 in Civil Engineering (that type they call 'strong 2-1). I went for service in 2015 and completed my NYSC April 2016. I went jobhunting even before completing my service and was at the biggest construction firms in Abuja. I haven't heard back till now. Now this describes my job hunting process so far:
Now let me tell you some things.....

1. KPMG (Final interview....dropped after five previous stages)
2. Access Bank (final interview at head office with head of HR....dropped again, after series of tests and interviews)
3. Concept Group ( dropped again after final interview with CEO....after three previous interviews and numerous tests)
4. Williams Akintola Deloitte(wrote test, got a success mail but I haven't heard back since October)
Standard Chartered (dropped after fourth stage
Union Bank ( didn't even invite me cos apparently they didn't get my application)
FirstBank (wrote test in December but we've not heard anything). All these plus several visits to construction sites and being met with "we're sorry".
The last yes I wrote at an investment banking firm was on Saturday 14th January, and although the result isn't out yet, I am so so optimistic cos God proved Himself as usual.
At the moment, there is nothing save for the npower thing.
I would appreciate if anyone would just help link me up. I am open to any form of written assessment or whatever might be required. Engineering or any other form of industry (as long as it is a Graduate trainee role ) would be highly appreciated.
sampopoolacareer@gmail.com is my email address, should you want to contact me
