naija (i mean her public schools) are in bad shape, they are doing poorly, you cant compare them

in anyway (is the corruption, sorting, back for grades (ladies) and the other unmentionable ills bedeviling
the ivory towers that time may not permit me to enumerate) these public schools cannot be compared with the
the school the OP is talking about.
How can u compare a uni where student sort 30% of their workload, cheat to pass another 30% and have no labs or library to the one OP is sampling?

The schools are not tax free. Let the government invest in Education. Most of these schools are just a decade and they are already making waves internationally . CU attracts foreign students unlike our public school. When I saw criticism about this man here on nl . I had to attend the church. Offering is just once and it's voluntary. No special offering for covenant university
I wish those hating on the school and its founder can be half as objective as you.

By the way most of the new buildings in CU from d Senate building, Research Hub, PG hostels and even the magnificent Faith theatre(100,000 stadia for living faith) were all designed by CU students.
Imagine . . .
Those hating are mad they can't stop Gods hand. Alot of haters pay tax to govt who give them public schools with rundown structures but they prefer to demand subsidy from the church . . .

Don't mind them if only dey knew d cost of running a university for one day. They wouldn't be complaining. Uniben spends roughly 3 million on diesel jus to power their various generator. I know dis cos am a staff. A government dat can't give its citizens power. So they shld make loss just because u can't afford d sch. Fee. Nonsense
3 million everyday na beans
Thank you. With the number of 500KVA plants CU has, it can't spend less than N18m/month on diesel. Those hating on private uni pay tax to govt and can't complain about the run down structure they give them.

As in ehn Covenant university spent almost 700 million per year to electrify the whole school in 2012-that is already about 35% of tuition fees and the school would still need to pay lecturers on a monthly basis whilst the student pay yearly. If University business was profitable Dangote and Otedola would have invested
that's 50-something million Naira a month. God bless Oyedepo for subsidizing quality education.

Your parochial, narrow mind cannot see how oyedepo's hosting of our looters breeds terrorists.
If the stolen money that oyedepo endorses were used to provide electricity, tap water, government schools etc with employment, why would anyone have the time to be a terrorist?
Be reasonable dude . . .

you also forgot to mention the dilapidated and defaced structures that have now become the hallmark of these once revered and lofty institutions, they are all living on past glory save for a few!

oga you and i are saying same thing,

the uni OP is talking about (convenant uni) is miles & miles ahead of most public schools.

i meant no disrespect to those whose alma mater have one way or the other been derided,
but hey lets tell ourselves the truth.

You're very funny. That's a legitimate reason to make a decision as to where to study. One might also want to school while fulfilling other commitments in Lagos. Or you think it would be easier if I was running a business in Lagos and schooling in Ibadan? What a reason my foot.

Pls how much does a full time Masters program (M.Sc) for Sciences cost at CU. Molecular Biology/Genetic Engineering/Organic Chemistry. The price range, maybe.
Thanks.
Ok the tuition fee is 486 thousand naira for my friend studying biochemistry for his Masters. CU tuition is usually not far apart for all science programmes. So the tuition for any of the courses listed should either be 486k or with a minute difference.

Lol. I'm a CU graduate doing my masters in UNILAG. Your UNILAG has serious embarrassing issues.
I'm considering doing my masters in CU or UNILAG. It's obvious you've had a taste of the two. Which do I advise I go to? Wanna do Msc in Mech Engineering.

I was even thinking it's up to a million. Why are people now saying it's expensive. 486k is fair enough

went to Convenant to lecture, the whole class failed the exam he set, what guys blast in our place and they even downgrade marks (-10/20 attimes) to fail boiz deliberately.. would you believe he set that exam 4 times and none could pass still.

The HOD had to beg him to assist as their money must not enter voicemail. is it cos we keep quiet for them

Imagine the kind of products you'll get there
What impacts have you guys given nigeria? Nothing, asides empty boast.
