a nice point and i presume also coming from an intelligent mind. Now listen. Now even in marriage a court of law has to deliver a verdict before a divorce, and ofcourse there must be a valid reason for such to take place. Now i am asking you "what are your reasons for seeking this divorce"? If they are selfish reasons then consider the court to throw your the complaint aside and ask you to go solve your problems amicably with your supposed husband(Nigeria). I call that "Unity"
There are strong reasons why such marriage can be dissolved. You don't expect the court to allow reconciliation when one's life is threatened. This is the case of Biafra

Marriage ENDs once one party declared 'I don't,' for whatever reason that person may have..

Court is not interested in forcing anyone to stay married, once a party say NO MORE, court can only adjudicate on conditions of a peaceful separation..

I no I just wasted my time on you , since I am certain you are commenting based on hate..

...Igbos also stand out from Nigeria’s other two big ethnic groups, the Yoruba and the Muslim Hausa (the latter is largely absent from London). ‘Igbos are very entrepreneurial, and they also produce a lot of writers and British politicians,’ says Nels Abbey, a British-Nigerian businessman and former columnist on the black weekly newspaper The Voice...(UK Telegraph)

Why can't we go our separate ways and do what we know how to do best...there is no point hating each other...
In that Case let the British prepare for the UK being label no mans land

What is the point of reading it when there is document anywhere in the world where the various ethnic groups signed agreeing to come together to create Nigeria? No point reading it.
The 1957 constitution that was agreed upon by the 3 regional leaders. You can Google the document if you are interested.

In this case, there was never even any wedding to even talk about divorce. The only people who are entitled to divorce are those who at some time signed a document pledging unity to each other. In the case of Nigeria, we were all forced together by the British, we never agreed to any binding agreement to the union of Nigeria.

In 1707, the kindom of Scotland, Wales and England came together and signed "The Act Of Union" that produced the United Kindom, our colonial masters. They agreed and signed to be together.

On the 4th of July 1776, the leaders of the 13 colonies that made up America came together and signed a document called "The American Declaration Of Independence" in which the 13 colonies decided to unite and this created 'The United States Of America'. They agreed to be together

Now when and where did the Hausa/Yoruba/Igbo man come together and agree to 'one Nigeria'?

What this means is that if none of us ever agreed to be together, anyone is free to go their way.

To hold someone against their will when there is no binding agreement of unity simply means "imprisonment"
The 1957 constitutional conference agreed to one Nigeria. Ironically it was the Igbos that pushed for one Nigeria, the hausa-fulanis were not interested. Strangely still, it was the Igbos that change the confederational structure that was agreed at the 1957 conference to a UNITARY system after the January 1966 coup.

When the Igbos obtain power or feel they at an advantage, they promote UNITY, but immediately they lose out in the power game, they scream secession.

Unity is not something that is forced, it has to be something that is willingly and freely accepted. When unity is forced, it is no longer unity but imprisonment.

Nnamdi Kanu is just one man. If one man can disrupt the unity of Nigeria then it means that Nigeria is not a united country but a forced marriage. No happiness ever comes from a forced marriage.

What other prove do you want? Isn't visible to the eyes that the Igbo's are not welcome? The sudden killing of ipob for peaceful protest or the mayhem by the Fulani herdsmen yet your president is silent. Or is the arrest of Igbo's for crimes while their northern counterpart are released immediately for similar act.or the utterances from your president by referring to the Igbo's 5%. Or is it the appointment of people mostly headed by the north yet your president preaches change.

You have it twisted. The constitutional conference was just an agreement on the rules that guide us when the British left in 1960. It was never an agreement where the ethnic groups gave up their sovreignty. There is a big diference between 'living together' and 'being married'. We have have been living together but never married. There is nothing binding us together

Before and during the constitutional conference, every side (region) had the option to opt out of Nigeria and stay on their own. The Igbos never at any time raise the question of separation from Nigeria. It was after the failed January coup and the successful counter coup that the issue of secession came up.

The ethnic groups gave up their sovereignty the day they signed treaties of protection with the British government. That signed document gave the British power over t5o govern their lands as they deem it fit.

Below is the protection treaty my people signed with the British, this is similar to treaties that other tribes signed with the British government and was the document the British relied on in laying claims to the geographical area called Nigeria during the 1884 Berli. conference

I dont know which ethnic groups signed treaties with the British but that agreement was with the British and not with Nigerians. The British have long gone back home.

You said that before and during the constitutional conference, every tribe had the option of opting out of Nigeria? How? So you dont know that until October 1st 1960, Nigeria was still a British state? Nigeria officially began in 1960 and what the British should have done was to conduct a referendum to let all the ethnic groups they forced together in other to create Nigeria to decide their fate.

But lets just assume for the sake of argument that Igbos gave up their sovereignty to be part of Nigeria. The same Igbos or any ethnic group can decide to seek divorce any time. There is no such thing as 'Together Forever'. It remains the inalinable right of the Igbo nation to decide if they want to remain part of Nigeria or not.

Really? Yet it was your Nigeria who cane down to the East to fight for 3 years to bring Igbos back into 'one Nigeria'. If the same Igbos say they want Biafra, some of you will want to have heart attack. If you guys cant do without Igbos, then admit it.

But "my question is will he continue to disrupt Nigeria's Unity and cause Disunity when released?" If the answer is Yes, Then he deserves a death "sentence"
Which unity ya talk bout?
