The Chinese have bought the world. They are virtually everywhere in the world. Infact, african government in recent times have been signing series of developmental agreement with chinese consortium to build railway lines,develop agriculture, sea ports etc.

I wish countries like Brazil and India can grow up faster to compete with the Chinese for a competitive share of the african market.

yes its a landlock state but it has access to the sea. only that this areas with access to the sea will either take you through Ondo or delta State.

Edo state still has access to big rivers talking about river niger at the Agenebode ( near Auchi ) axis and the Gelegele part near the ( koko ) axis of the Delta state.

It can develop a good maritime seaport using modern technology to dredge the river.

The definition of Landlocked includes Edo state. Lagos Ondo Ogun Selta Bayelsa Rivers Akwa Ibom and Crossriver are the only states with Sea Access.

my friend am not disputing the fact that the land they now occupy is Edo land and still Edo land. The point am trying to make is that that area they now occupy is an ijaw community based in ovia LGA an in edo state.
just to also let you know that am an Edo man from the northern part of the state. so I know what am saying .

Can u give a link or related news when GEJ approved the project and if he does ow come work has not started since he did or was it approved after he lost reelection? Some of u make people to talk down on that man Jona!

If you want to know if it started during GEJ's time use Google.

Whoever calls it a deep seaport clearly lacks good knowledge of geography. Gelegele only has a deep river with access to the sea [Atlantic] where you can build a functional river port.
