That's 2 straight games without making a match day squad. No explanations, just the usual Pep Guardiola silence.
Kelechi should move far away from this man.

No, I beg to disagree.
You know Pep is a top coach who brings out the best in his players...

So, this one u're seeing is called "ON-FIELD DRILLING EXERCISE" meant to polish Gabriel's attacking skills.

LOL.. Na today? I know what Lord Master Pep is all about. I blew the whistle on this thread when he signed for city.
I remember saying he is not a good man manager and TheGoodJoe went to the wires with me.

Behind that charming, handsome man on his shinny tuxedo, you have a very wicked man.
A man who didn't speak with Eto'o for a whole year. A striker who got him 35+ goals durring the season.
A man who benched Manzukich towards the end of the season, just to make sure he didn't end up winning the top goal scorer in Bundesliga.

I won't say more on this topic. I stand down.

Chai!!! See as u finish Pep.

90minutes of football for Gab speaks alot about the beloved son.

Nacho's manager and his agent should do themselves a favour by asking for a loan move for d young man...

He shouldn't be left alone to keep drilling in d UK(as t will affect his confidence) and coming back home to do some pressing.
We need him to be in his blazing form...

But if things continue dis way, with d abundance of talents we've got I'm afraid Rohr maybe forced to drop him.

At this stage I have to say it, iheanacho sadly has to leave, time to move on. Better things shall come his way eventually. He is obviously not in Pep's plans. He should honourably and quietly leave to where he can improve. @Goodjoe, No need to argue this anymore, the facts have become glaring. Many managers have their choices, that does not make them bad. It just means the player can move up to better climes. Even the great Sir Alex Ferguson had his own, Mou etc.. So claiming he is a bad manager is really not fair. He does not Favour nacho, fine another coach will. Even Eto get him own o. So no be today. And your Madzukich claim has no backings. Sir, don't get him wrong.
Pep is a good manager, an outstanding one for that matter and no one is disputing that fact.

But there is difference in been a "manager" and a "man manager". Man management is a virtue! It goes beyond signing d best player, winning trophies, making ur players buy ur football philosophies and so on.

A good man manager manages his players ego(especially the successful ones) both on and off the pitch, carries them along, integrate and make them put away their individual indifferences and always making placing the team ahead of his own achievement.

This attitude differentiate the Great from the Best.
Funny enough, Only few managers possesses this trait.

It has always been Mourinho's bane. Most of our local coaches are also found lacking in this area and is it has cost us 3 Afcon participation.
The bitter truth is that pep lacks this quality.

Look at Arsene, Simeone, sir. Alex, Jupp, and recently Conte. These men are amazing when t comes to man management-and look at how de command respect.

Baba, no one is attacking pep's personality-we're only pointing out his weakness.

Hmmmm, these cameroonians are damn physical or. No fine boy football. We need to be very careful o. No waiting for unnecessary freekick calls. Just play to the whistle.. Also I noticed their central defenders struggle a bit with pace. That could be an advantage. They really are brutes so tactical play is needed

AFCON 2017: Amuneke says Africa has failed to develop own coaches

DR Congo and Senegal will be the only AFCON 2017 quarterfinalists led by a local coaches and Nigerian coach Emmanuel Amuneke said it is because African countries have failed to develop and encourage their own coaches.

The six other quarterfinalists at Gabon 2017 are headed by foreign coaches – Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Burkina Faso, Tunisia and Cameroon.

Former African footballer of the year Amuneke is presently in Qatar working as a television pundit on the AFCON in Gabon.

He has charged African countries to try and look inwards for coaches to guide their national teams.

"It's not about who the coaches are, their colour of skin or what. It does not matter where the coach comes from. He won't take the glory of his team's success to his native country,” said the former FC Barcelona winger.

"But then, have we made any conscious effort to develop our own coaches?

"Do we repose confidence in our own coaches? Have we tried to support them as should be expected?

"(In Nigeria) We have the National Institute for Sports (NIS), where coaches are supposed to be trained, but what is the present condition of the institute?

"We know of a fact that we have sound, knowledgeable people like Adegboye Onigbinde, Kashimawo Laloko and James Peters. These are institutions of the game on their own merits, but are we making the best use of them?”

“Of course we evaluate how they do in the games and the training sessions,” Guardiola said when asked about keeping the likes of Iheanacho and Nolito happy. “At the end I try to be fair based on what I have seen in their performances."

Sad I could not watch the game because I couldn't get a station that was showing the match.

I always found the buzz around Gabriel Jesus unusual and I hoped his arrival at City will not affect Iheanacho's chances. It all changed today when Guardiola played Gabriel Jesus as a top striker. Despite the repeated tale of Gabriel Jesus a winger, it seems he is the one Guardiola wants to lead the line.

Seems Sane finally nicked the left wing forward position after working his socks off in training. His brilliant run before he slotted the goal against Hennessey was brilliant.

My advice to Iheanacho is keep working hard in training. Look at how Sane dealt with the lack of games and kept pushing. Guardiola expressed he was impressed with the recent performances of Sane in training.

If Sane could convince Guardiola with hard work and perseverance, Nacho can.

Iheanacho should study Gabriel Jesus closely. Understand what Guardiola means by doing more outside the area and improve on it. In the coming months, Iheanacho can become a whole new player working hard on the all round play Guardiola wants.

Let the lack of games not hinder his perseverance. Yaya Toure, without games kept on working hard. Now he tracks back faster and controls the game better. Nasri was not seeing games under Guardiola, after the boss screened him out of the team due to his weight. Nasri came back an improved player in the game against Steaua Bucharest. He looked fitter and a better player than he was last season.

I wanted Iheanacho to have a long career at City but I do not think there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I think a summer move is suitable. His agents needs to take their time to find a right place for Nacho to continue his growth. If Guardiola maintained Gabriel Jesus on the wings, I would say Stay because I feel Nacho stood a great chance toppling Aguero.

However, a battle against City's poster boy who is younger than Nacho seems an unfair battle. Not that Nacho can not battle him but the love Gabriel Jesus draws is frightening.

It is baffling when you say no need arguing. I have said before Guardiola's arrival, note:

I am more interested in what Iheanacho will gain on the training pitch and lifestyle under Guardiola than playing time. I have repeated it over and over again. I have said, I wanted Iheanacho to work a year or two under Guardiola because I feel it will make him a better player.

I have noticed Iheanacho get faster, improved in his tactical understanding of the game, press hard and improve in Stamina.

This will make the young man a better player. I have not said I want Iheanacho in City forever.

Get it. Sane was not playing games but he improved because of his hard work in training. The improved lifestyle and performance in training. This is a principle I noticed will help improve players before Guardiola joined City.

Iheanacho should stay until the summer transfer window. Try to improve on the areas Guardiola wants. This will mould him into quality hitman.

Iheanacho needs to push to outperform Gabriel Jesus in training. If he can do that repeatedly, with or without City, he will excel.

Not at all. There is a huge buzz about Gabriel Jesus. There is something about the young man that makes people like Pep and Txiki feels he is special.

Nacho needs to strap his boots and give everything to outclass that young man repeatedly in training. Nacho needs to achieve this because the goal of him becoming one of the best in the World is still alive.

Bottomline... I have always said Pep is a tactical genius and an intelligent tactician but also sometimes.... He is such an ass.... angry

Look at how quickly he put Gabriel jesus into the matchday squad.... Like he will come work some magic... Rubbish!!!

Nacho used only one minute and his first touch to down palace in the EPL.... Jesus had whole 90mins and nothing to show for it.... Nonsense!!!

Anyway.... I know Nacho will take Jesus outta the picture as time goes on.... Coz I am sure Nacho will step up and reveal that beast in him that made us so awed few years ago. The world class potential lies in him but my fear is, with pep's methods of selection, Nacho may remain "just a worldclass potential" for too damn long..... angry
