Time will tell shaa..... For now, we watch as the second half of the season unfolds....

Nacho still wanna become one of the best in the world. It's in him.... I believe him getting this far and seeing how much of an influence his compatriots Iwobi and Moses are at their clubs will make him dig deeper. But after this season... No more digging deep... It's either Pep plays him or Nacho leaves and he won't be short of suitors.

So much for not being brazillian.... angry

TheGoodJoe:

City and Nacho can go their separate ways and they can both do fine. I am still gutted at losing Dennis Suarez but life goes on.

I was always interested in Nacho improving on the training pitch with Guardiola. He is still getting it. He is with Guardiola working on improving.

What I want most from Nacho in this second half of the season is to do better than Gabriel Jesus on the training pitch.

Nacho always wanted to become the best in the World. It starts here. I want Nacho to move faster each day, jump higher, track back faster and press harder. Nacho needs to revive his skills, drop deep more often and chase the ball when the team is in possession.

This is not just to break into City's starting line-up but improve as a player. After this season, Iheanacho does not need the young players tag. Let this become his final lessons. If Guardiola will not give him playing time, it is fine. There is enough room for both to become successful.

No room for favoritism. Play the best that suits the system. Mandzukic agrees he does not fit. Why play him ahead of those who fit because he is top goalscorer. That is a sentimental choice.
Please this isn't about tactics or favorism.
Someone asked for a proof that Pep dropped Manzukic deliberately because he didn't want him to win the league top scorer award.
He probably thought I made it up. I dropped the link so he could see for himself.

If you want to make a discussion about tactics, am up for it.

he wasn't and hasn't been ever safe once. Whether of not Gabi is used or not. We both know that.

Just like Pep knows he has some hope and decided to silently pass across his message with good style.

As long as Gabriel Jesus played on the wings, Nacho was safe. Playing Gabriel Jesus in nine changed the scenario. Guardiola announced Gabriel Jesus was a winger to him. Played him on the wings against Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea, no. They have Costa. Liverpool, no, they have Firmino. Arsenal, unless you want Nacho waiting on the bench for an opportunity to prove himself, hell no. With Giroud, Sanchez, Lucas Perez, Walcott, Welbeck all battling for that spot.

It can happen. I do not see a barren run Gabriel and that is where my problem lies. I still believe Nacho is the superior talent but Guardiola is captured by the sleek way Gabriel plays. This might mean Nacho not getting that hat-trick chance.

However, your scenario can clearly happen during the course of this season.

I'm not giving up and have never given up on Iheanacho.....

And about greatness, let it be known that we also make our destinies..... Sometimes, we must take decisions that will ensure the fulfilment of our destinies

Nacho will be a super star player soon... That I have no doubts about... Be it at Man City or elsewhere... I have always said this...

My annoyance is that he will leave man city not because he is not good enough but because the coach don't believe in African talents playing for African nations.... He leaves because of a biased preference for certain players with "pele or maradona" genes.... This is what irks me...

Rohr – We Need A Good Right Back, I Hope
That Ebuehi Will Be Ready For The Next Game

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/image-88.jpg

Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has revealed his eagerness to see Dutch-Nigerian full back Tyrone Ebuehi play for Nigeria as soon as possible.

Ebuehi was invited for the Super Eagles last
competitive game against Algeria, but the 20
year old opt to remain with his team ADO Den
Haag to establish himself in the team.

However in a chat with highly respected Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana Rohr said, he has a promise from the right back that he is now willing to play for Nigeria if called up.

Since taking over as coach of the Super Eagles,
Rohr has used four players at right back in three games as coach of the team, with three of the four players played out of position to cover up for the lack of a proper right back.

Rohr has been searching for credible options in
the right full back role of the Super Eagles, a
situation he hope to fix with Ebuehi.

”I hope that Tyrone Ebuehi will be ready for the
next Super Eagles game we play. We need a good right back”, he told Osasu in Gabon where he is working as a pundit in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

The meteoric rise of Nigerian youngster, Henry Onyekuru

The name Henry Onyekuru is almost
becoming a daily occurrence in the transfer
news nowadays. Onyekuru, 19, who plays for Belgian side, KAS Eupen, is attracting loads of interest from some of Europe’s top clubs including Liverpool, Celtic and CSKA Moscow.
With this in mind, we take a look at the little-
known Nigerian.Who is Henry Onyekuru?
Onyekuru is a 19-year-old forward who plays for
newly promoted Belgian side, Eupen. Born in
Onitsha, South-East, Nigeria, the youngster was
spotted playing in his homeland and brought to
the Aspire Academy in Senegal before linking up with Eupen who are owned by the Aspire Zone Foundation, in the summer of 2015.

His rise to stardom

https://www.itsroundanditswhite.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Henry-Onyekuru-i-want-to-be-like-ndidi-300x150.jpg
Onyekuru has garnered 13 goals and six assists this season
Onyekuru’s switch to Eupen was certainly the
catalyst the club desperately needed to secure
promotion to the top flight and he did that in
grand style scoring four superb goals. The 19-
year-old continued that fine form this season with 13 goals in his first taste of elite football. In fact, the Nigerian who is currently the fourth top scorer in Belgium has single-handedly contributed more than half of the goals scored by the Pandas.

Playing Style

Onyekuru is adept at playing anywhere in attack but has most often been deployed on the left flank. His incredible skills, flicks and tricks make him a delight to watch similar to that of his idol, Thiery Henry.

“I’m a huge Arsenal fan, Thierry Henry is my idol. Now I’m a professional footballer, I try to copy him as much as possible,” Onyekuru told Het Nieuwsblad. “I look back to the games I saw as a boy, but I also regularly watch videos on YouTube to see how he did certain things.

Interested clubs

https://www.itsroundanditswhite.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/58874798772132c6ee000001.jpeg
Celtic desperately want to sign Onyekuru
Liverpool, Celtic, CSKA, Fenerbahçe, Arsenal and Red Bull Leipzig are among a host of top
European sides who has reportedly shown keen
interest in the Nigerian. However, it seems the
club is bent on playing hard to get with their
most prized asset.

Controversies surrounding transfer

Onyekuru and his club are obviously not on the
same page over his proposed departure. The club even declared the player missing at some point after failing to appear in training. It is believed that the 19-year-old fancies a move to Celtic while the club prefers CSKA or a German side.

Speaking to African football, Onyekuru said:

“Eupen are acting funny on my transfer. They are frustrating me and my agent for their own interest. They promised to let me move in January if I have a good offer, now there are good offers but they now want me to sign for their own agent before I move and they want me to sign for CSKA Moscow which I am not interested in. This is unfair and not
acceptable.”

[/b]But Eupen chief executive, Christoph Henkel, claims the Scottish League isn’t the best for the promising talent.

“We know Celtic are interested, but Red Bull
Leipzig are as well. I don’t think a Scottish
league is an option for Henry,” he told Daily
Mail. “Scotland is 23rd on the UEFA ranking
and Belgium ninth. Our competition is,
therefore, more rewarding. Besides, I think the
qualities of Henry Onyekuru don’t correspond
to Scottish football. He would be more likely to
flourish in the Bundesliga.”[/b]
Has he been capped by Nigeria?

No. Onyekuru is yet to feature for any of his
country’s national teams. He will most likely get a look from coach Gernot Rohr for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

“I will be very happy if I get invited because
it’s a good thing to play for the national team
in your country and I also would like to have a
feel,” Onyekuru admitted. “Every Nigerian I
believe looks forward to this.”

Source Confirms Liverpool Want To Sign Talented Nigerian Striker

https://thekoptimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/onyekuru.jpg

Jurgen Klopp is known for giving youngsters a
chance for whichever club he manages and he
certainly has given a number of academy players a game or two for Liverpool, and it is being reported that the former Borussia Dortmund manager is looking to sign another talented striker.

The Premier League side is interested in bringing in Henry Onyekuru from the Belgian First Division club K.A.S. Eupen.

The 19-year-old has been a bit of a revelation for the side as he has scored 10 goals from 22 Jupiler League appearances and it isn’t just the Reds who are trying to bring him to their club.

The likes of RB Leipzig, CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce and Hoffenheim are all tracking the highly-rated Nigerian. Scottish giants Celtic were also in the running for the star player but the deal couldn’t go through and a source close to a transfer to Fenerbahce added that Liverpool are interested in the Nigerian striker.

“His agent told me about Liverpool’s interest yesterday when I tried to reignite
Fenerbahce’s interest in his services. I don’t
how long Eupen can hold on to him, he is a
very good player,” the source told
Owngoalnigeria.com.
“He (Onyekuru) will most likely leave Eupen before the end of this transfer window despite their hard stance. They could be forced to cash in on him.”
Another youngster joining the Reds?

Klopp has signed a number of youngsters as well with the likes of Marko Grujic joining the club last season. It isn’t just his signings; a number of other youngsters have been given first team minutes this season too.

Joe Gomez, Ovie Ejaria, Sheyi Ojo, Trent
Alexander-Arnold and Kevin Stewart certainly are looking as bright sparks for Liverpool over the years with Alexander-Arnold looking extremely good after making his Premier League debut against Manchester United.

Onyekuru has been great for his side but Eupen lies 13th in the Belgian league and aren’t doing all that well having lost four out of their last six games. The Nigerian would not be starting games should he join Liverpool but he will have a lot of competition from where he can learn.

Ben Woodburn is another striker that Onyekuru
will have to be wary of as the youngster became
the youngest ever goalscorer for the Reds
recently. The Nigerian certainly has to be smart
deciding his future and if it is with the Reds, at
least he will be guaranteed the best chance of
making it to a senior side for a top European side.

AARON SAMUEL SIGNS LONG-TERM DEAL WITH RUSSIAN CHAMPIONS CSKA MOSCOW

https://africanfootball.com/bp_images/2017/01/Samm_17_June_2.jpg
Aaron Samuel
Nigeria striker Aaron Samuel has signed a
contract for four and a half with Russian
champions CSKA Moscow.

His agent, Atta Aneke, disclosed the big striker
has now signed permanently from Chinese club
Guanghzou R&F.

“Finally it's a done deal!!! Aaron Samuel has
signed a 4,5 year contract with CSKA Moscow
joining them from Guangzhou RF in China.
Fantastic day for all of us,” reported Atta on
Facebook.

Samuel first joined CSKA on a loan deal, but could not make the deal permanent after he suffered a long-term knee injury in the Russian Cup final and had to be sidelined for about eight months.

The big international striker has played in Norway and also Shooting Stars in the NPFL.

He was first scouted by Atta on a trip to Nigeria in 2013.

West Brom target Odion Ighalo is the subject of a £27m bid from China!

According to a report in The Mirror the Hornets
are set to cash in on the striker who has only
scored two Premier League goals in the last 12
months.

Two Chinese sides have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old who has been at Watford since July 2014.

West Brom looked at Ighalo as a replacement for Saido Berahino but won’t pay more than £20m for a support striker.

Despite West Brom’s lofty position in the Premier League Tony Pullis is concerned by the over reliance on Salomon Randon for goals and is keen to get in another striker during the January transfer window.

Watford haven’t been looking for a buyer for
Ighalo but won’t turn down a £27m offer for
someone who isn’t a regular first team starter
with Walter Mazzarri already looking to bring in
another striker with the Chinese windfall.

To be honest, breaking into those teams will be hard, also it will take time. These managers will not want to change the dynamics of their teams just like that. All the teams mentioned have their strikers performing and to just come and bench them will be hard. My breaking point was Nacho not playing the FA cup. That was just enough for me. He should move out and move on

Do you blame them, some of our players back then did not live up to expectations so they assume the South Americans, unfortunately history does not Favour Africans as they have always had their way with us. That said I think Pep is really biased. I remember him selling Eto and added money to get Zlatan. Guess what, Eto won champions league that same year. Karma has a way of dealing with everyone. So, what has changed that you used all of a sudden.
Pls stop this Nacho working for Guardiola a year or two years then look for playing time,to me it seems u are under rating d abundance of talents in Super Eagles.

Did u realized why everybody were so passionate about Nacho development, not coz of man city but for our national team.He is a player w believe is going for greatness and he has showed it in his few matches for Eagles.nobody w wait for Nacho working with Guardiola for two years without enough playing time, guys with great talents are knocking on d door of super eagles and want to show what they can offer.

I want u to remember when i said it was absurd for Iwobi having playing time in Arsenal despite d presence of arrays of stars like Ozil,Walcott,Ramsey,Xhaka,Chamberlain,Suarez,Giroud,Cazorla,Welbeck etc, then our golden boy cannot make a match day squad with d likes of Sane,Sterling,AgueroNolito,Gundogan,Navas,Gabriel Jesus who else for God sake, pls compare and contrast Iwobi development with Nacho.

It was on this thread i said d next 5 games w determined d future of Nacho with Man city, let be hopeful that things turn around for our boy coz d current super eagles is growing everyday with different pool of players.Did u realized that Etebo pushed Nacho to striking role against Algeria and we are having players like Mikel Agu,Henry Oyekwuru showing glimpses of what they can do every week and Nacho not even making d bench.

I don't want us to go into drilling or learning of a thing again coz all players irrespective of coaches were always on d drill and learning,so nothing special, though being under Guardiola might be a plus for Nacho but not a yardstick for him to become a better player.

I can tell u a lot of guys on this thread knew what is going to happen to Nacho with d arrival of Gabriel coz before d arrival of Jesus,Nacho was already having it tough with Guardiola system, even those who played d games to d highest level like Michael Owen have come out to say it that we have better Nacho under Pellegrin.

I do not think Pep wants to keep Aguero. Remember, Aguero came back overweight but he kept playing. While, Nasri got frozen from the team. I think some of the officials in City protects Aguero and keeps him on the team.

Nacho suits Pep's philosophy more than Aguero.

As for African players, Guardiola had a good time with Alaba. I do nit think this is just down to bias. Guardiola believes in Gabriel Jesus talent. He believes the boy suits his philosophy. Nacho should keep training, improve vastly and make a right move to a club that will make him their top player.
Pep do not wants Aguero?some officials protecting Aguero and keeps him on d team?Pls stop insulting Aguero.Did u know Aguero is like old Drogba of Chelsea to Man City for God sake, pls check Aguero record at Man city and stop assuming what is not

On Guardiola's philosophy,if it is on Pep philosophy then Nacho should be in d team coz u said Nacho suit Guardiola's philosophy more than Aguero and Gabriel makes d team coz he fit into Guardiola's philosophy and Nacho who also suit d philosophy is not making d team even with d absence of Aguero against Palace who doesn't suit Pep's philosophy(CONTRADICTING)

On Guardiola having a sweet relationship with Alaba,i don't want to sound racist here but i want to tell u that Pep doesn't see Alaba as African,he see him as European.

On Guardiola's philosophy,if it is on Pep philosophy then Nacho should be in d team coz u said Nacho suit Guardiola's philosophy more than Aguero and Gabriel makes d team coz he fit into Guardiola's philosophy and Nacho who also suit d philosophy is not making d team even with d absence of Aguero against Palace who doesn't suit Pep philosophy(CONTRADICTING)

On Guardiola having a sweet relationship with Alaba,i don't want to sound racist here but i want to tell u that Pep doesn't see Alaba as African,he see him as European.

I have to repeat myself because it seems you are just in an antagonistic view. Aguero and Nasri came back overweight. From the pics, Aguero looked worse. Nasri got punished and frozen out of the team. To the point Nasri did not play a preseason game. While Aguero kept his place.

With the ruthless way Guardiola handled, Nasri, Yaya Toure and Joe Hart, it is wrong to believe Guardiola would not do the same to Aguero. These guys are big game players and City legends. Aguero got a pass and just like how the season has gone, he keeps getting a pass. Despite not working hard for the team as he used to. Despite not meeting the demands Guardiola wants from his forwards.

The only reason I see is because the officials of City have big interests in Aguero.

If Pep Guardiola does not see Alaba as African, then I think the racist tag does not stand because Alaba is African.
