@Amjane, my sister i dey kampe o. we turned 38weeks yesterday so na waiting game we dey do, though hubby is begging baby to wait until next week because he's so busy at work dis week and since he's by birth partner and has always been , him no wan miss am at all. he's seriously praying for a wedding anniversary baby Feb 13 or a valentine's baby Feb 14 or his birthday mate Feb 16. me i jus sitdown dey look jeje.

today I experienced one f the joys of being a mother, I went to the hospital for my first antenatal care. Though a little strssfull but it was worth it. I also did my first scan today n I was like... for real? I only witness it in movies and hear abt them. I was so thrilled and happy wen I saw my baby's shape and its heart, d tiny head and d steady heartbeats.
I didn't knw wen I burst into laughter n a tears were dropping from my eyes. it was a wonderful experience for me.

my PVC is 27% n I wonder wia all d blood went cos at October it was 45% so wat drained d blood. someone shld explain oooo.

then I was given a shot of injection on my left arm around d shoulder.... forgot to ask d doctor.

I can't wait for my next appointment.

I can only vouch for Royal infirmary cos my in-laws used them to deliver all her babies. The care and environment was tiptop! After birth home services was also impressive as an ambulance brings a health officer to your home weekly to check on the new mom and baby.

She had her last child in 2013 don't know if they still have that standard going on now.

Eating nuts, kale and avocado could help protect women from suffering a miscarriage, new research suggests. Being deficient in vitamin E starves an embryo of vital energy and nutrients it needs to grow, scientists have found.

This can cause severe neurological damage – ultimately leading to the loss of a pregnancy. Experts now claim women planning to become pregnant should consume foods high in the mineral or take supplements.

Researchers from Oregon State University conducted their study on zebrafish embryos – which have a similar neurological development to humans. They found that a severe deficiency caused the depletion of essential fatty acids, specifically the omega-3 DHA.
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is essential for the growth and functional development of the brain in infants.When the growing embryo is diminished of these, cells start to use glucose to prevent and reduce damage in the womb. However, this prevents glucose from being used for its main purpose – providing humans with energy. This then prevents many physical and neurological features – especially the brain – from forming correctly.

Ultimately, this can lead to the loss of a pregnancy, the researchers warned in the journal Free Radical Biology and Medicine.They discovered that in zebrafish, a severe vitamin E deficiency is responsible for 80 per cent of miscarriages.

Despite also being found in sweet potatoes, avocados and sunflower seeds, US researchers previously noted that 96 per cent of women consume inadequate amounts of the vitamin. And given these statistics, experts warn women should take supplements to ensure they have sufficient amounts if they desire children.

HELLO Teamies, how are we doing? Hope we are now enjoying this our 2nd trimester. Let's try and make good use of this trimester to do shakara, go for shopping, visit friends and family, go on vacation with hubby, take half way to go bump pictures with hubby, and just enjoy the preggy . I pray that God will supply all our needs to be able to enjoy our preggy to the fullness.

I hope by now we've all registered for our ANC. If not, let's endeavour to do so this month and those of us that have taken our 1st TT & malaria tablet, let's not forget our appointment day (4weeks after 1st TT) to go for our 2nd TT. God will continue to strengthen us..

Am sure by now, some of us have seen our baby gender, please, let's start to supply our Team XX for BBG & XY for BBB.
My next scan will be on 14th #mybirthday with hope that baby will open leg so I can finish up my shopping this month.
Please Teamies, its important we start shopping now, no matter how little you can afford. It ease the stress of moving around with big bump, (I heard some market women use to increase the price once they see you are pregnant and won't sell at wholesale price.) and it also relieve our pocket in a way (price of baby things goes high on daily basis). I also see it as a way of exercising and freeing us from boredom for those of us that are not working.

How far with our bumps? Am sure some of us are already showing. All my church wears, both English & native (except iro&buba) are no longer my size. I couldn't meet up with bible study yesterday because I was busy looking for cloth that fit. I had to loose up one and sew it back before I could wear it yesterday, Am just waiting to know baby sex so I can do shopping for both of us.

For those of us that are new, today is prayer Monday. We all know we can't do it alone so we constantly need to pray for God to see us through with baby alive, mother alive, and father rejoicing with plenty money.
Tomorrow is bump Tuesday. It's an opportunity for us to show our bump to our teamies, just for the fun of pregnancy.
Also, let's constantly come online to update us on our feelings. Remember, we are free to rant at any point in time. It's a way to keep our mind free of things disturbing us and of keeping the group alive.

Please Teamies, if you wake at any time in the night, either to urinate, drink or eat (like myself now), let's always try to pray. We can just put our hands on our belly and say one or two words of prayer for our self and baby. Don't underestimate the power of a preggy woman prayer.

Only 45k and you Don de shout? My sister you never start o! I and dh spent about 200k for baby's items (hospital list inclusive) and we would have spent more! But our friends gave us lots of baby clothes and diapers, wipes and detergents as gifts. Car seat and stroller no follow for the 200k o because we never buy am yet

Just prepare yourself. But spend within your means.
