I have the money though.

But also, I am an Erasmus Mundus student and I didn't even pay visa fees. So if you're well conversant with it, you'll know we get a lot of waivers compared to regular students. THEY WILL NEVER MAKE IT COMPULSORY FOR MUNDUS STUDENTS to open blocked account unless Germany is your first semester. Despite Germany not accepting local sponsors, my Cameronian colleague used her father in Cameroon as sponsor and she got a visa and a residence permit.

Guy stop misleading people here, first you said you where giving visa without deposits and proof of finance, now you open up that you are an Erasmus Mundus students, didn't you know previously that as a scholarship student you are not required to have open block account or show proof of finance for your student visa and people are responding to you thinking that you don't have scholarship because sometimes it happen that embassy issue visa to student without confirming the payment of DB deposits but the person cannot escape it while in Germany because you must show the evidence of it before you will be giving resident permit.
You will not gain anything from lies and pulling peoples leg.

A quick one..

I have sent mail to request for study Visa appointment since Tuesday evening, and i wonder if it can take a while to be replied because i haven't goten a relply.

Hope I didn't do any wrong?...I attached the admission letter and proof of block account appointment as stated on the website. Am I supposed to state where I want my interview? (i.e lagos or abuja). still waiting for a mail.

Modified: Just found out from a previous post that i am supposed to attach my passport data page alongside the admission letter and block account appointment confirmation although it is not stated on the consulate website. i will resend a mail and hope i am on the right track.

It can take from just a few hours to some days to get a response from the embassy with regards your appointment/interview date and while you wait just ensure your email request follows the guideline below

1. The request must be sent as an email with an attachment as one PDF file of your Passport Data page, Admission Letter and DB account opening slip from embassy or Blocked account Funding confirmation from DB to student@lago.diplo.de
2. You clearly state your request in the subject of the email e.g REQUEST FOR STUDENT VISA APPOINTMENT or STUDENT VISA APPOINTMENT REQUEST.
3. A brief message in the body of the email explicitly stating that you are requesting for a student visa interview/appointment and if your enrolment deadline is close you will be well advised to state that in the email as well.

I have nothing to say anymore.

and FYI, I don't remember saying I am a scholarship holder. How would I get a Mundus scholarship with a 2.2 anyway?

Get your facts right. Not everyone in a Mundus program is a scholarship Awardee. No one in my program is a scholarship awardee. Check Mundus programs, they have tuition fees as well as scholarships. So stop committing fallacies.

My response was simply to ensure you did not overlook some parts of the finance requirement when you get to Germany but since you already know all the answers to your own questions why did you bother to ask in the first place. You need to tone it down a notch because you are starting to sound like an attention seeker.

Thanks for the reply... I had to send another mail ( i wouldn't have if i had earlier attached my passport data page ) and did everything stated above except merging the PDF documents in one. I hope that would not be a problem though. i wonder why it is not stated in the consulate website.

I'm wondering if what they meant is that one can book using the system where one can pick a date, for Abuja.

isn't it clearly stated there that we send the mail to the lagos mail (student@lago.diplo.de) and that one can be forwarded to Abuja for interview where necessary?

Some people did try using the system when appointments became quite difficult to get only to show up at the embassy and be told to go back and book through the email method. That is why people are encouraged to read as much pages as they can to keep abreast with current trends.

No! One will only be forwarded to Abuja if the need arises; when Lagos cannot accommodate new requests.
