i don't know about freelancer oo but upwork ehn, they might even want to make video call with you for verification. I opened an account with them using female USA after some days like that i was verified and got 3 orders from my bids, imagine that, but when i see their last verification process, omo mo foh!

if thats the option bro and again there will be tax registration form you will have to fill as a US base and if you couldnt ehn, thats all, foreign account is not advisable on upwork, i was unable to do the $230 job bro and i'm still reasoning what i can offer as a nigerian on upwork that will make me earn a living on upwork.
