you are welcome.

If you are only claiming points for your work experience for the period up to october 2015 then you do not need a new refrence letter. This means your work experience from november 2015 till date will not be stated in the work experience but in the personal history section.

however, if this is not the case, you need to get an updated letter.

Jalzy29:
@ Hally: thanks a bunch for your response. My Husband just got his Indian Police clearance from the indian embassy in Abuja.

@dupyshoo, vcole, esosa and all successful PPR peeps: I have some questions please kindly respond.

1. I started this journey over a year ago and contacted David Cohen, However, am not ready to continue with them which i have also notified them after receiving ITA. i would like to know that in creating an account with CIC, Am faced with creating an account with GCKEY or Sign in Partner which should i use.
2. I have a work reference letter from my current employer dated October 2015, which i gave the law firm then, do i need to get a new one with a recent date from my supervisor or the old one can still fly.

Will be standing by for responses.

Thank you all for the amazing job you do on this amazing platform

Which evaluation? ECA?
Yes ECA. I'm asking because i also finished from OAU.

Hubby and i have done IELTS, paid WES and will be starting the transcript and cert part this week. I need an idea of when that will be sorted and we can enter the pool.

Hello, I am a physiotherapist. I was directed to your topic on Nairaland but found out people were not contributing. I'm happy to find you here again on the general forum. I also want to begin the process. I have sent you a pm. I hope to hear from you. Thanks

I actually did my Masters in OAU, i went through etx. But mehn, you really have to be on top ooo cos when i evaluated for my spouse, i had to get soneone to follow up for me at the school.
My opinion is that you try to get sineone in the school to do for you, if not possible then go thru etx

This thread is so helpful.

Congrats to all for the ITA and PR rain. It will be the turn of others soon.

Please all, I have a question. When submitting all the documents for my application (I have received ITA), do I have to attest any of the documents?

Thank you.

For OAU. What I did was to request for my transcript to be sent to WES through ETX (www.etx-ng.com/oau). I paid 20,000. I then sent scanned copies of my certificates to a friend in Canada to help print and send it to WES. 3 days later my status on WES changed from "awaiting documents to evaluating credentials" or so. After a week I got an email from WES stating that OAU has been contacted to verify my certificate, then my status on my WES portal changed to "awaiting verification from institution". I called ETX and explained the mail I got from WES. I was asked to pay 3,000 for the verification. After 2 weeks (due to Christmas break) my status changed to "evaluation in progress" or so.

In summary the whole ECA took abt a month and my transcript didn't get to WES till after I got my ECA report grin

Please, can loan (from bank and other sources) be used as POF after ITA is received? If yes, is it a case of moving loan from one account to another active account so that the source cannot be traced and verified easily especially if it were a bank loan?

Then, is employment verified? For example, can my father's friend or mother's friend who has his/her own firm provide me with a letter of employment for three years and reference or do I have to provide payslips and paystubbs to that effect?

For degree evaluation, is it true that APEGS (or engineering profession regulator) strictly requires WES? Does this requirement vary from province to province? Do you need a licence to get a job or can you get an engineering job without licence? Lastly, if I am nominated by Ontario or another province, do I have to fulfil residency requirements in that province before I can secure citizenship? I have heard all sorts of testimonies so please kindly help answer my questions, if you can?

Thank you.

No attestation required required, just a scan of your original documents. You only need to certify documents which are neither in English nor French

Asking on behalf of a friend;
(1) can you apply for student permit and also have an active EE profile (2) Can you have two active EE profiles + (apply for student permit)?

Many thanks

Based on what I have read on this thread, I'm sure you can have 2 active EE profile but I am not sure if you can have active profile and apply for student permit simultaneously.

That's a good question, you know! Hmmm, I blieve it is one at a time! If things happen such that admission comes before you conclude your PR plans, you might want to think about processing your application outside Nigeria. Processing immigration things most times are quicker outside Nigeria depending on what you are applying for.

Great forum! Great thread!! I've been following this thread for a while now and I must commend the great minds and great people of this forum who in so much ways has dedicated their time in dishing out information.

As a newbie, I'm about taking the IELTS come March 4th. someone should render kind assistance to my questions;

1) Is it advisable I take the exam with my spouse though I'm the principal applicant? If yes, will it increase my score

2) What is the minimum IELTS score to that can enable one enter the pool? (As this will inspire me)

3) After the IELTS, what is the next step to take?

Please great minds in the house should help me on this. Thank you

it is advisable for your spouse to write the exams but not necessary .
in order to determine your score you can use the crs tool calculate it . just google "calculate your crs score" and work from there . also read the thread from 0, you will get an insight as to how scores are given and why maximum points are necessary . the score for ielts LRSW score 8877 for aim for the highest 8.5,8,7.5,7.5

Hi all for those looking for how to send their Documents to wes (photocopy of credentials), you can actually fax it to them using online free fax servic and attach a cover letter. be rest assured they would get it. I still used same for a friend yesterday and he got an update from wes today. Just google free fax online and use any of them. Wes Fax number is 1-416-972-9004. Address it to Minister of Evaluation, World Education Services. Please include your reference number on your cover letter. saves you the stress and money to spend on courier, Good part is, It's free

[quote author=behati post=53576104]Good day house, been a silent reader but hope to participate from now. I just got ITA and will be sharing my timelines below.

ECA- Nov. 2016: this was very fast as I submitted scanned copies of transcript and degree certificates, paid international courier fee to have WES send verification letter to my school via courier. Had someone who assisted with the verification in less than 5 days of the school receiving it. Everything took about one month.

Hello Behati...Does this mean that once I have a hard or scanned copy of my transcript, I can send it to WES and they can in turn verify it's authenticity from the school? So I don't need to get another fresh copy of the transcript from the school again that will have to be sent to WES?

Anyone else can also please answer my question....As i have copies of my transcript in hand that i had used previously for other stuffs and i was already contemplating re-starting the transcript application process again for WES Canada....

Thanks.

It was my wife's school and it was not Unilag... Not sure what the process is there, but if you can get a contact in house and be persistent especially when you notice on WES website that they need more info from you school, you should be able to sort it out on time.

All the best!

Greetings. Kindly direct me on how to go about WES to get your kind of speedy delivery. I want to evaluate MSC for UNILAG (myself) and BSC UNILAG for spouse.

I suggest u log onto WES Canada website and read up their specific instructions.
You should send them copies of your degree and then activate transcript/confirmation in your school...cos input frm your school is absolutely necessary.

For those who got their credentials assessed by either IQAS or WES and submitted just the highest qualification e.g MSc; did the two bodies request for your secondary school qualification such as GCE/WAEC certificates?
