Tell the students to go home for about a month, because school activities would definitely be distorted. They should tell their parents to keep about 20000# each for restitution fees.
Student money would be use to build the dream health clinic.

Samething our leaders of tomorrow did here at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. we all had to pay 6250 in this recession and reason for the roit is yet to be met wasted time and effort + distorting academic calendar.

Niger state is a "North Central" state. As such Niger state is a Northern state. There is nothing like middle belt in the 6 Geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
So you have also been brainwashed by those that carved geo-political zones for their own selfish interest.... Looooolz

Forget geo political zone, check the map, where is Niger state located, north, south, east or west.....

Minna, capital of niger state, is in the middle belt, and not in the core north... Their language is Nupe Hausa....

Don't label all states as northern states

Seen this scenario so many times at OAU, poor medical services killing students.

Although burning down the clinic was a very bad move

We have 19 states in the north. And Niger state is one of them.

you surely dislike the system... i was like you.... but i just realized that it's part of every average Nigerians nature, some of this security people tend to be overzealous.
Prof Musbau Akanji has failed FUTMINNA, why so much Chaos during his tenure. He was busy doing useless stuff while students were suffering silently. I knew this sort of day would come, but i thought it would be nipped in the bud. i guess i was wrong.
It seems 'FRUSTRATION HAS FINALLY LED TO TENSION'
I pray for FUTMINNA
Hmmm... what useless stuff has Akanji been doing? I am a little bit curious. I met with some students who claimed he is the best ever VC the institution has ever had?

This incident is sad ooo. A life cut down in prime

I could remember reading a post where one idiot claimed that unguided student actions like this is part of what makes OAU the best school in Nigeria. Can something like this happen in Harvard?
Ever heard of OAU students destroying properties?

They protest the most but they do it in a sane manner.

These FutMinna students refused to protest for so long. They let it get all messed up till it got to a boiling point and now they will suffer for it.

A sane protest years ago will not have erupted into this. It will have resolved a lot of issues.

FYI students of universities abroad even protest more.

So don't bring OAU into this.

DEATH OF A 300 LEVEL SCI EDU STUDENTS

According to a close source he disclosed to us that the Doctor Placed the boy on drip left him alone in the ward, after discussing with his colleagues outside the ward for over 30mins he then went back to check on the boy only for him to notice a sudden change. However All effort trying to revive this boy as at that moment proved abortive as it was already late. We also learnt It took the ambulance 1hour to arrive the school clinic

this is a regular thing in futminna I was once chased out of the clinic because I didnot bring my school medical form when I was seriously ill I provided my school Id card as proof that I am a student they didnot attend to me. the way those doctors and nurses treat students it's as if their primary responsibility not to help the sick

Core north? Hausa/Fulani? What are you saying?

It seems you don't know why they are referred to as middle belt. - It's because the states are populated by minority ethnic groups and they also draw the line between the Islamic North and the mainly Christian south.

You claim there is nothing in the constitution like middle belt, yet you contradict yourself by Calling Edo State a middle belt state. Meanwhile, it really does not have to be in the constitution before they are referred to as such!

Atiku is a Fulani, IBB is not. If you have ever lived in the north, you'll know not all northerners are Hausa/Fulani.

Get some knowledge bro

Niger Police command on Thursday announced the arrest of three persons in connection with the protest by students of the Federal University of Technology, FUT Minna over the death of their colleague  on a football field.

The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reported that the late student, said to be at 300 level  slumped on a field Wednesday and  was rushed to the university’s clinic where he was pronounced dead .

Not happy with the pronouncement, the students embarked on demonstration from the clinic. According to them, the deceased was not treated on arrival, only to be informed of his death.

DSP Bala Elkalla,Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO) of the Niger command told NAN in Minna that the rampaging students burned  part of the University clinic and destroyed the official car of Dean student affairs.

He said that the fire service along with police and university security personnel’s  succeeded in preventing the fire from spreading to other buildings.

” Everything is fully under control. Already the command had since commence investigation. Normal activities have since resumed ” he said

A lecturer at the university said the student died before being brought to the clinic.

” He died before coming to the university clinic; it’s not that he was not attended to, he died before arrival. ”

” The students have no reason to embark on senseless demonstration; we all come from God and to Him we shall all return,” he said.

Students are scheduled to start their semester exams in three weeks.
