It's an ATV, not an MRAP. It's ground clearance is standard, just as an ATV should be.

Here are more photos of the IPV I could find. The Nigerian army calls it an Infantry patrol vehicle. From it's stated role provided by the Army it is a Recon vehicle or a Fast Intervention Vehicle. The Army also says more units are currently deployed in the theater of operations.

It's well armed, has a top speed of 130km/hour and weighs in at just over 600kg. Both the Super Puma and MI-17 can carry them easy.

The photo showing the front view is not very clear. That's what you get when journalists who don't know Jack are reporting on defence and security.

From this photo it's clear it has a camera system, so an LCD should be somewhere. Hopefully it's an Infrared camera.

In my own personal opinion, I think a frontal armour and windscreen would have been fantastic.

What it currently needs now is a Burutai boy, SBS or Regiment.

I know bro. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a photo or two of our guys receiving medals at a ceremony.

It makes sense to train in that country. They got vast experience fighting in the jungle and their own Navy SBS are also quite respected in the South East Asia region.
