Please what does it take to produce a standard cinema movie in Nigeria? For someone that wants to venture into the Production in Nollywood, what are the necessary steps to take and how does a newbie ensure he/she isn't taken advantage of financially? Most importantly how can I get Executive Producers to invest in my movie?

You will need a mentor, someone who is an icon of success in this chosen field... to give you FINISHED-PRODUCTION wisdom and also connections

camera quality is utmost... such cameras cost 5million upward but rentage is about 750k per use..... I got this directly from a guy in TINSEL soap

CREATIVE story line.... not just interesting... but very creative that can not be assumed by the viewers

Core Animation effects...(Hollywood standard) that can not be laughed at or insulted.

Then short 1-2mins snippets/ trailers for producers and marketers to gain curious interest in your work...

SO SIT DOWN AND COUNT THE COST.... if you cant do these... then join an already made cast crew and build from there. most comedians are not into movie acting and will soon be producers like AY...

Thank you so much for making out time to respond. Please can you shed more light on "joining an already made cast & crew"?

the only world class naija soap i know now is TINSEL... you could go to calabar and apply orr... just join NOLLYWOOD and distinguish yourself... either by being funny or freestyle like osuofia and the like or even maybe you can identify some character that nollywood does not yet have and exhibit it.... but you have to find a mentor who can help you overcome the vices in gaining roles.... cos some of these filmakers demand sex or money before granting favors... but God will favor you sha

Okay I understand you perfectly, I don't wish to act, I want to be like Emem Isong, writing and producing my own stories. I found someone who agreed to sponsor one of my works but he backed out when I refused to compromise

Wow, i'm seeing a lot of fire in you, you're the female version of me, that's the kind of friend i need to keep. My city is backward in movies, talk more of shooting quality ones, anyone who's passionate run to Lagos or film school. And if you're not in Lagos, maybe we can be partners and shoot something, maybe a shortfilm, take it to festival etc two heads are better than one. I'm in Aba, u?
