Who told you people don't know about it on the forum? An engineer wouldn't assess himself/herself as a technician na.

It has been more than 3 months you have been struggling with what and where to asses despite being told by me and others what to do yet you keep asking same question over and over.

I remember I specifically explained why you should assess with EA because of the opportunity of having more states to choose from Incase you need state nomination. You seems to be scared of writing a CDR which is nothing but proving your claimed skills on a paper. Luckily, sample CDR has been flying around on this thread, yet you are still afraid of showing how you are a good technician or draftsperson.

A simple read of MSA booklet would have cleared your doubt. Everyone staying on this thread to help loves helping people but we must be encouraged by you doing a self read and showing true commitment to the course. If you reject every past advice, how will anybody be encouraged to advice you further?

I think you need to go back and read all the responses to your past posts and follow the directions including the emails you exchanged with me.

This will be my final response to all your queries on this thread except you can show that you have moved past the basic and genuinely need help.

Goodluck.

Mr Keleto, I was like you couple of months back. Scared of putting together a CDR. I even came to the thread to ask if I could use TRA too. But in the end, you would find out that EA is the easiest and fastest body to assess with. Even non engineers on the thread are wishing they had the opportunity to be assessed by EA.

CDR is not as hard as you think....

Hello Experts

my certificate does not correlate with my experience. I happen to have a degree in petro-chem Engr with 10years experience in Telecommunications.

Won't this anomaly affect my application to VETASSES.

Thanks!

You will most likely get an Engineering Technologist outcome from EA.
I'm sure you can claim your experience if it's back up with required documents.

@@ Bnimz.

I read you post on how you prepare for PTE exam.

MICROPHONE PLACEMENT.
na wetin dey lower scores pass be this... The computer does not understand BREATHING SOUNDS....

Your score gets lowered A LITTLE for every hesitation, repetition, pronunciation error or grammatical blunder..
The score gets lowered DRASTICALLY for every single thing you say that DOES NOT SOUND LIKE ENGLISH AT ALL.

I would like you to share a picture on how you placed your mic position during your PTE Speaking section (under the chin/above nose level)..

Below was my first attempt score, I intend getting 20point in my next attempt

Speaking=67
Reading=88
Writing=90
Listening=90

please all the ogas in the house please I would like to ask this question. last year October we sent our application to be assessed by TRA, under Mechanical Engineering technologist, but it came out to be negative. The reasons are :
1. My husband's school could not be reached to confirm that he actually finished from that school.
2. That his OND result was not submitted ,that they saw only HND .but actually they were wrong on that because both were submitted to them.
3.lastly they said the company's telephone number we provided couldn't be linked to the company we claimed to have worked.
so they suggested we re apply or apply for a review which is almost the amount paid before.so please can you please advise us should we take the review and what is the possibility that we will be successful or should we re apply to another assessing body .because after we saw the result , we called them and the guy that assessed it answered us and said , if we should re apply we should call the school to email them that my hubby actually schooled there .and we should do the follow up on sending the result. please I need your candid reply cus the three month to apply for review will soon elasp.

thanks all

@thanks for the quick response mr recto and mr Bellong. see my hubby just asked me now that if he reapply using EA which he is qualified to apply.and he is eventually assessed positively after he must have submitted his CDR on his project work and siwes but not in his work experience.the question is that how will he reconcile his points .BECAUSE HE HAS NO INTENTION in adding his work experience which would hav given him more marks. please I need your reply.

Am trying to increase my "FLUENCY"
so na fluency fall your hand..... That is a direct result of either the Describe image section or the retell lecture section... Fluency simply means how well you dey FLOW in English,... So, na there repetitions, hesitations, awkward pauses, etc dey fall pesin hand... Basically, all you need to do is practice how to flow... It helps to imagine yourself explaining something to a primary school pupil ... grin

Thanks Bros,

I don't have issue with Describe Image, Retell Lecture and Repeat Sentence. I already have a template for that.

It seems more of Read Aloud where the FLUENCY score for speaking center on according to my research on "expatforum".

@tutubabe

To start with, what occupation did hubby nominate because I read he got assessed by TRA under Mechanical Engineering Technologist. This is
TRA has kind of broken down the occupations into their area of specialisation, so it's not necessarily you nominate Mechanical Engineering Technician which I believe that is what you wanted to type..... TRA has so many occupations just that you will find many under CSOL.

According to TRA MSA guideline booklet, it's clearly stated that make sure your application is decision ready because they will not contact you for more information or any clarifications. They expected that all contacts you are giving them are correct and up-to-date. Many schools have portals but the contacts on those portals ain't going through so if you are to be assessed by TRA you really need to get functional contacts because if they try to contact your school or employer and is not going through.... They don't have the time to contact you, they will just conclude you didn't do your homework well..

To be assessed by TRA is very easy because all it requires is paper work and packaging but at the same time you need to have all they are requesting for. They have checklist and they will advise you to attach the checklist to the front page of your application for submission, that means they expected you to assess yourself before the application gets to them.

The only section you have the freedom to express yourself is your job descriptions or duties in your own words, every other sections of the application is provision of documents with proofs.

TRA is skills and qualifications assessment, so they have to be related and there has to be a minimum of one year work experience.

You can opt for the review which is AUD 900 and it's refundable if you get positive outcome. Make sure you work on those points mentioned and look into other things because they are very funny. You don't expect them to write everything at once or probably they have just started with you by the time they go further than this.... there are still more because most times TRA gives negative outcome base on jobs/skills not related to qualifications.

I wish you best of luck in your review. Thank God application is electronically submitted now so the submission will be faster if you have all your documents ready.

This was my template with Retell Lecture, Describe Image, Repeat Sentence, Writing and Reading during my last PTE exam . .

For describe image, I had 4 sentences ready.

This Line graph represent/illustrates (Topic), then X-axis
The maximum figures are recorded in.......
while minimum figures are recorded in.......
In conclusion, the general trend of the graph is a gradual/steep increase/decrease in values.

For Retell Lecture, I had 4 sentences ready.

The speaker talks about {topic sentence}.
The important aspects of this are{ some words used by the speaker}.
The speaker explain/elaborates by stating examples such as {some more words by the speaker}.
In conclusion, the speaker talks about the importance of the topic sentence.

For Repeat Sentence I used this structure

The sentence is always in SUBJECT=VERB=OBJECT

For Writing I used this structure because ALL PTE WRITING are always Argumentative essay(Agree/Disagree)

Introduction

Sentence 1- Paraphrase Question

Sentence 2- Thesis Statement (It is agreed…/It is disagreed…/This essay agrees/disagrees…)

Sentence 3- Outline Sentence (This essay will discuss….)

Main Body Paragraph 1

Sentence 1- Topic Sentence

Sentence 2- Explain Topic Sentence

Sentence 3- Example

Main Body Paragraph 2

Sentence 1- Topic Sentence

Sentence 2- Explain Topic Sentence

Sentence 3- Example

Conclusion

Sentence 1- Summary and opinion

For Reading I used this structure

Understand the paragraph by reading with meaning
Understand WORD PAIRS
understand WORD CHOICE
understand GRAMMAR

Good evening house, I would like to know if there is anyone that has gotten a positive assessment from vetasses as an internal auditor. My husband just received the reference letter from his employer and would like to get a second opinion before sending to vetasses.

He is also preparing to write Pte academic. Anyone with useful material should kindly send to me. Pm me and I would send my email.
