As a matter of fact, I know other languages (Spanish and French) , so it's safe to say I understand English pretty damn well. If you know what it means to understand any of the aforementioned languages, you'd know what I mean

Some Chinese children are taught English in school, but China promote its own language. School children in parts of Africa and America are learning Chinese. Chinese governments invest in their language. They even have partnerships with universities in Europe and America. Why is promoting our indigenous languages a negative thing? Promoting our indigenous language doesn't mean abandoning English. For your question about what languages we should promote in Nigeria, last I check there are over 500 languages in Nigeria alone. Maybe we should start with Pidgin or Igbo or Hausa or Yoruba or Edo or Efik. My point is every language in Nigeria should be promoted.

Go to New Jersey and 40% of the doctors there are Ghanaians.
Doing Medicine in the UK is really expensive and the terms of employment are not attractive like in the US or say Germany. My uncle actually left the UK in the 80s-90s to work as a Cardiovascular surgeon

there were over a 1000 Ghana trained doctors in the UK as at 2000 currently I donk know the number. The UK did a recruitment in 2002 in Ghana and another in 2012.

There are more than 4000 Ghanaian trained doctors in New York alone.
