EFCC, COURT ORDER HERITAGE BANK TO FREEZE GEONEL INTEGRATED SERVICES' ACCOUNTS

Our attention has been drawn to a malicious and untrue report trending online, titled, “Heritage Bank Should be Shut Down- Company Tells Court, CBN” and about the bank’s financial and liquidity condition that questioned the ability of the bank to honour its obligatory engagements with a customer, Geonel Integrated Services Limited.

We want to categorically state that the allegation is not true as the Geonel Integrated Services Limited’s account is currently being investigated for financial crimes by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

However, the bank was advised formally to freeze the account by the federal agency through court injunction pending when the investigation will be concluded.
The investigation is still ongoing and the bank is under obligation to respect a valid order of court.

We want to state categorically that Heritage Bank is not distressed as being malevolently reported, the bank is capable to honour its obligations to customers and numerous stakeholders alike

Is Heritage Bank a bank? or a micro-finance bank?

When I think of commercial banks, I hardly remember that there is one called heritage bank. It's more like a microfinance bank to me.

Heritage Bank. I shake my head. The Bank should not deny that as at Sept - Dec 2016, it was unable to fulfill its obligations and could not honor customers requests. Account officers were running away from the offices and not taking customers' calls especially those with huge deposits.

Bro, Heritage Bank is dead. We experienced the same thing but thank God thst after involving the CBN, they paid up instalmentaly. Amount involved was more than N450M

Heritage bank is having problem of meeting up customer obligations, we experience it in my company too, both in naira and in dollar, they return your cheque like love letters, they will 50% of your demand.

I don't know if you have a personal relationship with the bank or aware of the facts in this matter; your comment suggests that you are not. What if i tell you that this company had accounts in two other banks that were affected by the court order and that those banks removed the restriction at the end of the order. The only bank that didn't was Heritage bank. What do you say to that? What will you say if i tell you that rather than remove restriction, they were instigating EFCC to renew the order placed on the account. What would you say if i tell you i a text message to prove that they were actively doing this. Heritage bank is in distress and know that once this order is removed, the bank will crash cos those funds will be moved out. Not to worry, they'll still sponsor BB Naija ...or maybe not
