you can use it on POS but won't exceed $100 per month , you cant withdraw from the Atm of the country you are in. Am also a victim of this and am suffering it till today

There's the cost of card procurement separate from initial deposit. You can ask.....

Initial deposit can be $50 or $100 and you can authorised them to charge $10 from your initial deposit. You can as well pay them the $10 and go source for dollars to deposit into your account.

I read some wrong information about GTBank cards not working for Int'l transactions and I decided to make some transactions quickly before other banks join to implement the same policy but I decided to actually try with the GT card before trying another bank card. I was able to pay with the GTB card at N320 per dollar. I was shocked at the low exchange rate and I quickly made another transaction which was also at the same rate. Later on the week I confirmed that the rate is officially so after the CBN intervention. The transactions were of very little amounts, maybe there are some higher amounts that may be rejected. I've used it about a week ago on arvixe.com and namecheap.com

Yes you have to source for dollars and deposit it in your account. Whenever you make any transaction you will be charge based on the bank rate. E.g Frank charges N320 to a Dollar as at 28th of Feb when I used my dollar card. I don't know what other banks charges

There is no conversion or bank rate for a domiciliary account card. The card is in USD, what you are buying is also quoted in USD

I renewed my webhosting account with arvixe(dot)com on Feb. 25th using gt naira mastercard and they charged N320/1$

GTB has stopped all paypal transactions, facebook adverts and google play store payments with the Naira Mastercard - they did this last week.

Ebay uses paypal to process its transaction so it does NOT work on ebay.

U are asked t have a minimum of $50 when applying.
But card issuance fee is $10.

I also use my gtb master card for paypal since last 2 years. I tried to make payment second week of last month but it declined. Yesterday went to first bank to make enquiry and the customer care told me CBN has stoped all payment from master card untill further notice. Should any nigerian need to send money. U have to open a visa dollar account wit $200 minimum balance.


My conclusion. The cbn governor intend to make all aboki in dollar business rich. Why can't he allow at least $200 maximum limit per month.

Bros, your account is not correct....GT & Access cards still work till TODAY 4th , March 2017, it's sites like paypal, neteller& co that GT blocked..

So gtb blocked Neteller transactions......no wonder i could not deposit into my neteller acct. Dats bad biz ooo. And wen i asked dem on FB wat d prob was, gtb could not reply me. hmmmm...
