its time we begin to use this calender i posted earlier wisely...................remember the PALM OIL CALENDER. ALL you need do is keep a copy and follow d trend, it guides you on when to buy, store and sale. the percentages shows availability of fruits and oil per month all year round. hope you can see march, april, may dont miss them.

off peak: November - Feb ( 4months)

i think this is the dynamics: March is the bumper season,April is when oil mill and local producers hoard palm oil in anticipation for May/June and beyond because of rain,when it rain heavy,palm fruit become not too available.


i wonder why the stats suggest May/June as the month of bumper.
Am happy this is here and well documented here,reference will be made to it to proof the authenticity.we shall see how the prices will pan out this year May/June suppose bumper season God willing.

which type of oil should i store, how should i do it and how long can it last.

well i will only be sharing my experience, everyone is free to add cos no one is a reservoir of wisdom

the best oil for storage should have LOW MOISTURE CONTENT. the reason most oil smells is cos the amount of moisture in it is large enough to support the growth of microbes. once this happens, they will begin to grow, divide, and respire on it. to avoid this, even when u buy oil from public places/ mills and u intend to store it for a longer period, simply pour all the oil into a container and boil so the moisture will evaporate. yes, theres gonna be shortage for sure interms of volume but that cant be compared to the damage/ loss u will incure if its not done.

secondly, once buying oil for sale/ storage, always avoid oil with so much steatrein/ fats that sleeps easily. A good oil will not sleep even when refrigerated. thats very true and ive tested it. thats why its not advisable to store TPO( technical palm oil). also watch out to ensure that the oil delivered to you isnt hot or warm. the effect of buying a hot/warm oil is that u will definitely experience shortage. the reason is cos oil expands on heating, so once it cools down, d volume will reduce, its a fact and a business strategy for most greedy business men buh i tell ya.....deligence and sincerity will illuminate u among ur peers.abeg suppliers hope say una no dey vex..........na Buhari send me o lol.i want collect my whistle blowers percentage.

thirdly, in order to deceive newbies most dealers prefer warming their oil early in d morning or expose them to sunlight such that it is delivered to you fresh. once it is stored, the next morning u discover it has all congealed or sleeping as fondly called, lol.
well the best way to deal wif this is, if u r buying much, alllow the oil to stay overnight before paying the client to avoid stories that touch.

most times uve got to train ur Nose to test oil, its d surest and fastest means. good oil doesnt choke once u perceive d aroma. its simple buh practice will mk u perfect.

storing a good oil is very simple, just make a platform and place d rubbers on top of it. DO NOT PLACE THEM ON BARE CEMENTED GROUND. use only rubber or plastics for long storage.

finally, a good oil has long shelf life and can stay for two years uncontaminated. ensure you source from d cheapest and most affordable source preferrably local mills where it is produced manually. buying oil from the market to store is like petrol on d road side when uve got fillin stations.

You seems to edify yourself as palmoil expert in other to steal the networth of this thread for your own personal gains,so that customers can be calling and ordering goods from you only.

There is nothing wrong with that afterall,the world is big enough for everyone to succeed as you already know, however i encouraged anyone interested to do the palm oil business should open his or her own thread with a different title not minding the traction we have made here.


Back to what you post...comparing or discarding market palm oil as irrelevant is not true and heaping praises on oil mill is wrong.

most oil mill owners take to market,that i have no oil mill does not mean i should not sell palm oil or my palm oil is road side.Even market palm oil is the best because everyone will ensure his or her oil is finest.NIFOR and PRESCO are world class producer...They can classify that your mill as substandard but that does not mean your oil as you always claim is not fine.stop posing wrong information because you want to feather your nest.These local peasant farmers you are bad mouthing ,account for the production of palm oil during the colonial days when modern mills are not available.classifying market palm as road side you are invarible drawing attention to youself for owning or knowing contact of factory owners.hence they should order from you.them nor dey do like that.

Most of the things you do or hear people do need not be presented to the public...boiling oil and sunny it before market...haba that is
bad marketng to yourself ,that can make suppose buyer cast doubt on you.some1 even quoted you on that matter.focus on yourself leave some irrevalent.

my mom use palm oil for making soda soap for years she can use just ordinary paper or mere looking at it to know good oil as you already can use your nose.here the the palm oil good to store has a special name in the market.instead of making fear in people advice them to use veteran in their locality to make purchase on their behave until they become expert.....

The last time i encourage some1 in PH to get palm oil from PH instead of paying extra ording it from you in AKS you got angry you school me on various state palm oil can be gotten ,as if some1 buying some few kegs over time cannot get it here.am just posting this because of your critizism demand you made.

Brother I was born and brought up in palm oil village. Boiling or cooking palm oil is an old tradition in my village. Since buying are coming to mill to buy palm oil we stop boiling it.
Quote me anyway boiled or cooked palm oil last long than uncooked ones.
Boiling palm oil takes time, reduced the quantity, increase the quality hence we increase the price of cooked ones to uncooked ones.

If you cooked 25 liters of palm oil you will need two bottles of palm oil to full up the 25 liters after cooking.
Secondly, fire might jump into the pot and your name became sorry.

Millers are selling their oil now, so as to use the money for farmland preparation. By April they will store their oil too. Who no like money.

I have discovered two sets of people in life, those who are eager to learn and those who feel they know all. the reason for this thread is to enlighten and assist young Nigerians who are eager to learn d tricks of palm oil business. am sharing the secrets of palm oil business freely so someone can learn buh its amazing how some people who know nofin bout palm oil is expressing their ignorance. squeezing out time to update d house alone is challenging buh its a sacrifice and yet someone will be coming here to condemn every effort.

can u pls tell us where we can get palm oil cheaper @ creek market, can u also tell us why boiling palm oil before storage is not good as u said, can u also explain why d calendar I posted for palm oil is wrong!
