Whatever could have triggered the killings cannot justify the killings of over 30,000 innocent Igbos in the north.

After the killings, the Igbos all relocated enmass to the east to start our own country peacefully only for Nigeria to start driving tanks towards the east shouting 'One Nigeria'.

Why is it that when some groups up north threaten Nigeria, we all look away and brush then aside but when another group from the east does the same, we accuse them of politics of hate, violent blackmail and bitterness?

We all remember all the threats from the north which gave them the presidency they have today.

These people are truly shamless.

Nzeogwu from Delta masterminded a coup, it was called Igbo coup.

When it is time for problem they describe the Niger Deltans as Igbos but when it is about oil they quickly remind you that Niger Delta is not Igbo.

Honestly, it's tiring.

Look at the case of the man from Delta state who named his dog Buhari, was called Igbo because his name was despite people's account of repeated denial of the Igbo tag by the man; but say Igbos are in the SS and watch hell unleashed.

Madness is when your brothers killed the political leaders of the other two major tribes & subsequently made caricature of a slain northern godfather in the North ,hence the reprisal.. You'd better learn from history.

A former National Publicity Secretary of the Arewa Consultative Forum and spokesperson for northern delegates at the 2014 National Conference, Anthony Sani, has cautioned Igbo leaders against accusing the Federal Government of marginalisation and clamouring for creation of more states in the eastern region.

Sani, in an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH, asked the south-eastern elders to put their house in order.

He said, “We all would like the Igbo to produce the (next) president of Nigeria but not through violent blackmail. I am not sure politics of appeasement is what Nigeria needs right now.

“That would amount to rewarding bad behaviour of threats and intimidation, which would encourage others to join the club of bad behaviour.

“What the Igbo need is to put their house in order and reach out to make friends with other sections of the country. They need persuasion as against a pugnacious, bellicose and percussive public outing.”

The ACF chieftain also said a recent demand for the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, by a group, Nzuko Umunna, was an attempt by some Igbo leaders to curry favours.

Sani added, “I believe the motive of some Igbo leaders asking for the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu is to ingratiate themselves with the agitators for political reasons.

“I personally expect the wounds to have been healed, considering the fact that the Igbo have been part of the national government by way of producing the country’s Vice President, Senate President, Speaker of House of Representatives, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, coordinating Minister of the Economy, ministers, and Central Bank of Nigeria governors at various times.

“What kind of inclusion can demonstrate ‘no victor, no vanquished’ more than that? The Igbo held sway in the past regime for five years. Yet, they cry of marginalisation — marginalisation by whom?”

Speaking on the South-East’s call for additional states in the region, he told SUNDAY PUNCH that there was no basis for the demand.

“Land mass and population are true factors that influence socio-economic development. That is why they count in creation of states and local government areas. Does it make sense to agitate for a split of Nigeria and at the same time clamour to rule the same country you want split?
“It does not add up.

If majority of the Igbo believe in a country of their own, they would not settle and invest in other people’s land more than in their own land,” the northern leader argued.

The bolded clearly stated why Nigeria will never develop as configured. Israel is far more developed than Nigeria yet Israel is the not size of Kano. Since the state has been unfortunately used as yardstick to determine the distribution largesse by Federal government, it is imperative for the so-called political zones to have equal number of states to be equally represented in the so-called democratic dispensation the cesspit called Nigeria. I really hate to have a dumbass such Anthony Sani as a compatriot.
