am not Yoruba or Hausa, but I think one is too violent, while d other is too permissive.serve d latter right.let them vai acasa(go home in Italian)

Same as in Enugu where one is always murderous while the other is too sheepish and the former decided not to vai acasa because its always a win win situation for them.

Why do people struggle for everything. Fight for everything when all we came with is nothing. Humans can't live with one another with peace. What a world.
The holy book says we should follow peace with all men without which no man shall see God

Its easier for the Hausa to leave an area because they dont build elaborate houses outside their home states unlike the average Igbo man who sees anywhere he has resided for a year as home and can build a mansion there if he can afford it and if anything happens like we have seen in the North he finds it hard to abandon what he has laboured for and go back the East.
In reality the Igbos actually represents One Nigeria, despite some of there people agitating for Biafra.

Let it be known that we understand what is going on. Hausa/Fulanis are leaving IleIfe and it's environs so as to launch sudden reprisal attacks against Ile Ife people.

Sarki Hausa said it at the palace of Ooni that they would retaliate.Though he later apologised and said that he did not mean his earlier statement. We are not afraid of any attack from any quarter but let it be understood that any attack on Ile Ife will be viewed and treated as an attack against Yoruba people in general.

So whatever the Hausa/Fulani may be planning, we encourage them to bring it on as we won't be caught unaware. We are not a foolish people and we are more than capable of defending our lands against any invader. You can come in but you won't go out alive!

Keep swimming in delusion over mile 12 saga. Your repetition of lies will not change the fact. I live in mile 12 and i can tell you emphatically that the Ibos were the major unfortunate victims. Keep gloating over what you need to weep about.

I drove through oke aje market in ijebu ode. I negotiate my way through a street. Towrds the end, I saw a bike, so I horn for it to be removed, I got the insult of my life from the hausa man that owns the bike. Nearby market women advice I negotiate and drive pass, to the this, another hausa man selling tomatoes needed to move his goods spread on a mat. Once the road was clear I was asked to move, behold the tomato man for whatever reason went back to fiddle with his hands at the same place and his hands almost got hooked by the front wheel. This guy and the other one with the bike rushed me. Right in the car the puched my lips and I got a big cut, lots of blood. I wished there and then that I had a gun. I left with my shirt bloody

THE FIGHT HAS BEEN SETTLED IMMEDIATELY ON THE SPOT. FROM WHAT I HEARD,EVEN THE SERIKI HAUSAWA HAD THE KNOWLEDGE OF IT BEEN SETTLED.
LATER,THE HAUSAS NOT SATISFIED WENT TO MATCHETE THE YORUBA MAN, STILL NOT SATISFIED INJURED ANY BODY THEY COULD LAY THEIR HANDS ON,BURNT SHOPS,HOUSES, DESTROYED CARS.
FAST FORWARD TO WEDNESDAY MORNING, STILL NOT SATISFIED WENT ON RAMPAGE CHASING AWAY EVERYBODY INCLUDING TRADERS,

Why are Ibos on this thread stoking confusion and malice? Why are these Ugandans so passively aggressive without any hint of manhood? WEAK osus from the land of the rising scum - always looking to sow the seeds of confusion and war. What happened in Ile-Ife is unfortunate. However, it is a symptom of what is happening all over Nigeria. Boys are not smiling. Economy is hard and any little provocation leads to fight sometimes fatal. Perhaps, everybody should relocate to their region of origin until the economy improves.

sorry to say this, you're not making sense. You're comparing a region,a state capital with a whole tribe, that's less sensible. Warrior Afonja was a coward and a betrayal to the whole tribe of yoruba, he's not representing them. Fulanis can be hardhearted/stubborn and being fear by every tribes, they dare not against yorubas.

As simple as ABC...To hell with sophistication!

I saw this interesting piece on Facebook:

Today every state is allowed to have her citizen as governor and legislators with very few exemptions, but no state in Nigeria is allowed to have her citizens as the military and police chief respectively. Reason being the federal character is a perfect measure put in place to recolonizing the South by Fulani Oligarch.
For those who are opened minded and are willing to understand the facts surrounding the subjugation of the Southern part of the British contraption called Nigeria, this write-up would awaken your sub- consciousness.

It was late 1967, the South couldn't unite against Gen. Gowon on his venture to invade the old Eastern region popularly known as Biafra. In recent time the narrative well accepted across Nigeria was that Ojukwu wanted South West under his territorial control which Obasanjo quelled and put an end to the civil war fiasco. And by 1970 the war was over with the slogan "no victor, no vanquish."

Unfortunately, there is a victor the Fulani Oligarch from North East Nigeria. Since this period in the history of Nigeria, the recolonization of the South was thus legalized through the binding constitution. The constitution of Nigeria from 1966 till date is 51years old, and many imagine why is it very hard to break free from this regressive, uninspiring, underdeveloping, backward, barbaric, and very corrupt document for five good decades?

There are however two-fold to examining this thought-provoking questions, and both centered around Federal character.
The British colonial thugs during colonization made a decree stating that every wealth and resources across Nigeria belong to the British government, and for over two centuries 90 percent resources and wealth of Nigeria was carted away to Britain for the development of the United Kingdom. However, to maintain this fraudulent and gruesome status quo, the colonial thugs used the military, police, and paramilitary to quash all resistance, rebellion or agitation to their fraudulent rule in the three protectorates.

Apparently, after the civil war, the North upheld the unitary system with the same systemic fraud as the decree by the colonial power. The Nigeria Constitution was changed from regionalism to Unitary clearly stated every wealth and resources of the country belong to the central government, and as a result recolonized every part of Nigeria with what the foolish Yoruba leaders that Ifa, Sango and the great Gbonka Ebiri would destroy termed the spirit of the federal character.

The danger of federal character doesn't lie with revenue sharing alone. It extends to the military which made the Fulani Oligarch have their presence in every state of the country, and upon any sign of agitation, just like the British the Fulani led military would unleash mayhem on peaceful IPOB members or Yorubas just as we witnessed in the ethnic clash with their Fulani counterparts in Ile-Ife recently.

Expatiating on the federal character, the country has 36 states while every state must be represented in the military and police, and like the British, the Fulani is in full control how? It is not a hidden fact that Nigeria since the fourth republic had allowed every state to field their indigene at all political stage except Igbos who want Lagos by all means. However, a vivid look into this structure one would then argue if my state men hold all political positions in my state, why would Fulanis be controlling the military barracks across Yoruba and Igbo land?
Isn't that thought provoking? Nigeria with 36 states and 35 governors, 35 military chiefs, 35 police commissioners, and all other paramilitary parastatals, had the North with 20 out of 36, effectively manning every conquered state in the South. The effect is that if there is any form of agitation in Yoruba land, the North constantly has personnel in uniform to quell such agitation. More reason we can never break free from this constitution that Rob south to enrich the few northern elites.

In America they have 50 states, California is bigger than Nigeria, Texas is close to the size of Nigeria have you ever asked why they aren't killing each other over presidency? It is because every $ made in each state 90percent is retained for the development of the state. Most importantly the governor controls military guard 100percent. In fact, Trump needs the governor's permission to request for military assistance from the state.

But under our colonial master's everyone lives in fear, Brutai recently said people seeking to restructure Nigeria should wait for four millennia, thanks to Sultan allies across Yoruba land the Fulani keeps us subjugated.
Odua ma sun o.

Source: Gbonka Ziano Ebiri Facebook handle
.

J T U Aguiyi-Ironsi abrogated the regional system for unitary due to greed and land-grabbism.
Shove your concern up your throat. Yoruba don't belong to those who will beg to leave Nigeria if/when we want. Let all garrisons in yorubaland be commanded by the buratais of the north. To some group, Buratai may be a transformer, but to us, he is a blown-out fuse.

When we want out, we go out. Those fulani soldiers are being kept for sacrifice to appease our gods while the ammo will come handy.
