omenkaLives:Well, if Gej was in charge, emefiele would have done the same. But, gej or pmb, the issue is we need a more sustainable source of forex. Blame our lack of productivity..... then decide how we want to rectify that lack. |

dahunsy:Nation future how? Nigeria makes over $800million weekly from crude oil sale alone and we don't really need the dollars much when our reserve alrwady hit $30billion so we need to be selling the dollars out and getting Naira to continue with the good work.. |

unclezuma:Well, when N1 was equal to $1, we were no 2 in cocoa production, no 1 in palm oil, columbite, top 5 in groundnut, cotton and tin, and we were not importing things like biscuits, batteries, and pens. The only way to get it back to your status quo.is for oil to go above 1000per barrel. Which won't happen again. |

abescom:Alternative Fact Habib, you said you were not okay with 216# to 1$ just return back to 216 thank you. |

9jakohai:Of course I know all that. Reno O'mockery says we should blame Buhari if the naira depreciates, so I'm asking, now that it seems to be appreciating, who would he like us to "blame"? |

cummando:This is funny but a fact. If only Nigeria was productive. If only we export more than we import. China was able to devalue her currency and make more money because they export more than they import. Hopefully Nigeria will one day get there. |

ISTANDWITHBUHAR:Actually we are making less dollars than we did in 2012 when oil was at 100 per barrel and above. We really just have a small amount to spare for this exercise |

Interesting This process injecting more dollars to strengthen naira, is artificial and would not be feasible to sustain a robust naira. This process would aid more of corrupted practices by those who know how to get dollars from CBN. This aids corruption more. |

unclezuma:You should first start by returning the money used to educate you to your parents. There's absolutely no way the exchange rate could have stayed at N200 to a dollar with the dramatic fall in oil price. Assemble a team of the best economists in the world and you'll still never have been able to maintain that exchange rate. Sometimes you people should put partisan politics aside and analyze issues with logic. You're probably a graduate, shouldn't it be a thing of pride for you to think these things through? |
