Are you still experiencing this issue? No problem sending txt to Nigeria in my AT&T line. Also, I just sent a txt to my MTN line sitting right next to me in another phone, and it came through instantly. Sending international texts are free on all AT&T mobile share value plans btw.

Questions for USA folks.

Are you using a service to send text messages to Nigeria? For some reason I'm not able to send text messages to Nigeria on AT&T.

Thanks.

I actually just gave up but I have since change plans to I think share value plan, so I'll check it now and post back.

maybe your plan doesn't include TEXT or INTERNATIONAL TEXT. Mine is T-Mobile and I have been with them since 2003. Great Service!

I read advert on NL about countering "omonile". I think Lagos state is standing up to them now. They want you to report omonile's harassment to the state govt. Now read this. They have taken their harassment to movie set by demanding their fees. Bunch of jobless dunces

What a lot of people buying lands in Lagos fail to realize is that certain portion of amount paid to buy lands in Lagos goes to the community heads.
This fight against omonile is a fight only against the jobless ones on the street.

They dont have right to demand money from land developers then. Govt needs to clamp down hard on them.

You need this (attachment). It is good to stick with same service provider for very long to be able to sync all their benefits.

I have been with T-mobile since 2003. I used to pay for data (5gig internet) for 35$ and it slows after I used it all. Last month they coverted my plan to UNLIMITED fast SPEED Internet for 20$ bcus I have been with them for long.

Also my call and text have always been UNLIMITED with local and international text for 65$ plus visual voicemail for 5$. Now i dey enjoy t-mobile a lot.

I used to worry about my data now I'm not.

Yeah! I noticed our last AT&T bill was about $30 more than normal. So, I figured something was wrong, and decided to look at the bill closer. Well, wifey called my mom back in Naija derectly by mistake, when she saw the missed call. Thank God the call only lasted 7 minutes. Yes, it's $4/min to call Naija directly on AT&T...highway robbery!

I don't think you need unblock international calls. I use T-Mobile, I blocked international calls but I can still text to international numbers.

it is direct but you have to save local number issued to you by rebtel and dial that diretly instead of 23480xxxxxx

Will checkout boss revolution. I am tired of scratching calling cards. I havent use scratch cards in 7 yrs since fund out rebtel

Guys stop wasting your money with ATT, shop around for smaller networks like, metro, lycamoble and many others that give service at a less cost of ATT tax on your bill. I used ATT for 95- 04 before I realized, I was wasting money with so called unlimited lies even with the there discount. My bill now is less then ATT tax, before I out of the network.

I have been using rebtel (a little expensive now though) for at least 8 years or more. I also use localphone.com. I also use callcentric (their rates are still ok) for forwarding my US number to my MTN when I am in Naija. So, I am quite familiar. The Naija numbers are all programmed on our phones, so that the US localphone/rebtel number is called. It's just that wifey saw a missed call from my mom, and insted of calling the rebtel number programmed for her, she mistakenly just clicked on the missed call, and that dialed direct of course. Rebtel is the most expensive right now. So, I have removed my auto-topup option. Will just use localphone/callcentric for now.

Your wife obviously is not used to rebtel and of course, it could have been mistake. But to be talking for 7 mins long shows she's not used to it. The reason is when you dial Nigeria number directly from US phone, the ring tone is different. If it is rebtel, it doesn't dial directly now. You know that. Computer speaks before connecting you. Isn't?.

I've been guilty of this too before and why I initially blocked international call after I got my att bill.

One carpenter called me that omo onile rat bastages were chasing them from my site. In the heat of the moment I direct dialed "eruku nla" my anti omo onile guy on the ground.

Sometimes these things happen.

Ebi like say prices don dey come down. Last week got quoted N2350 per square metre for 0.45 guage Aluminium (Metcopo) but yesterday got a revised quote of N1950/sqm same Metcopo at Onitsha.

Similarly woods coming down as well
2x4x18 hardwood down from N900 to N780
3x4x22 hardwood down from N800 to N600

Saving me around N285K total cost on roofing wood alone buying this week as against last week. Onitsha price.

Is this experience similar else where and on other materials?
