Mickael2:What would Munier had done? He was already on the floor when Neymar ran into him. He did not go to foul Neymar. No intention. Why penalty, beats my imagination. |

Humility017:Keshi CHAN team still remained d best coz i remember d team won bronze in that tournament. On Olishe omitting Igbinova from Chan team, then what can u say of Rohr omission of Aluko and Oyekuru from London friendlies.. My point is simple, home based players deserve a look in coz we have a league where players are playing week in week out. Rohr just need to look inward and see if it's possible to see a rear gem among d home based who can slug it out or even displaced d foreign based. |

TheGoodJoe:what do you mean no intention? Look at the replays again, he was falling down yes, but instead of him to fall, he was trying to get his body in the way. Neymar on his own part did try to get to the ball and when he saw that he couldn't, he hooked Munier and fell down. That one is as clear as daylight, you can't be protecting the ball when you are lying down |

Icon4s:Look my man am not saying he should drop any foreign based. My point is this Rohr should give home based a chance may be he can find one or two player. I don't have d opportunity of watching NPFL of recent coz am not in d country but i know that talents are abound in d league I remember it was on this thread u guys are mentioning player like obinna Nwobodo or are u saying NPFL is a dead league that cannot produce a player for Eagles. |

safarigirl:The socio culture dimensions of France make fusion community integration and national identity to be much easier almost to the detriment of African identity. The opposite is the situation in the UK which has been further exasperated by BREXIT. Nonetheless, I know 7th Generation British indeed quite wealthyJews who volunteers for national service in Israel. This includes perilous combat military service and are ready to die for Israel. So would you then say that there more to thier being Jewish than thier names. I did ask you to. define what it means to be African you raised the proposition not me, but you have been silent. This is sheer appreciative curiosity and not in anyway contentious animosity. |

Leicester city eyes Etebo Champions of England Leicester City are tracking Super Eagles winger Oghenekaro Etebo, according to reports in Portugal. Etebo is currently on the books of Portuguese Primeira Liga club Feirense. The 21-year-old has been attracting interest from around Europe since his four-goal haul in Nigeria's 5-4 win over Japan at the 2016 Olympics last August. Now a full international alongside the likes Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi, Etebo has been tracked throughout the season by City and Turkish giants Fenerbahce, according to Portuguese media outlet, A Bola. Etebo has not quite matched his goalscoring feat from Rio 2016, where Nigeria came third, grabbing just one goal and one assist in 18 appearances across all competitions for Feirense this season. In his six caps for the Nigeria senior team, he has one goal, scored on his debut against Egypt, and one assist, setting up Mikel John Obi in the Super Eagles' 3-1 World Cup qualifying win over Algeria in November. Etebo is in the Nigeria squad to face Senegal and Burkina Faso in friendlies later this month. The matches, on March 23 and 27, will be played at Barnet's The Hive Stadium. Supersport online.com |

maidaboi:In my opinion Isaac Success na waste man that shortee Simon Moses is a non starter. Solanke will bench the two of them, Sone Aluko is too far ahead of both of them irrespective of the fact that he is supposedly much older. Simon Moses is not better than 18 year old Ike Ugbo of Chelsea and he is not better than 20 year old Onyedinma or Moses Odubanjo. I don't rate Ojo highly but he is not even better than him. Consider Simon Moses 71 games 13 goals it is simply not good enough and that is in the Belgium league. |

Mickael2:You are saying he hooked Neymar and still saying clear as day light. The question is, did Munier foul Neymar? If he did not, there is no way that is a penalty. |

Mickael2:Luis Suárez’s dive exposes Barcelona’s cheating, amid the celebrations The notion of the club’s revival against PSG being special is undermined by their players tumbling. The message? When things get tough, keep conning officials If the awarding of Barcelona’s first penalty of the night was dubious, Thomas Meunier committing the apparently fatal sin of falling over with Neymar in close proximity, the hosts’ second, which fuelled the fairytale, represented a blatant act of cheating. Consider this scenario: that Luis Suárez threw himself to the floor in the manner he did after darting in front of Marquinhos when playing, instead, in a key international against England. No odds can be offered that we would have heard plenty more about it, either in immediate post-match analysis or now that the dust has almost settled. In this instance? People are willing, just about, to cite “controversy”. It is Barcelona, they are brilliant, fresh parameters apply. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/mar/09/luis-suarez-dive-barcelona-cheating-psg |

ChrisKels:Dude this your talk na woman talk. Stop being sentimental and emotionally prejudiced. Present your case state your facts express your deductions rationally. He has detailed players of Nigerian origin and made his comparisons. Now what you could do is to objectively dissect the attributes and failings of these players comparatively to the home Nigerian players that are in your opinion better. Otherwise I'm sorry to say your sentimentality becomes incoherent gibberish. |

Just as Barcelona are a brilliant team, who revolutionised football to an extent, and Suárez is a wonderful player, this should not provide an excuse for selective blindness. Unfortunately it does, amid the race to proclaim Wednesday evening as worthy of a public holiday. There is almost the sense that the Champions League needs Barça’s involvement, regardless of the means by which that transpires. |

goldfish80:Blasphemy is saying this Mbappe is as good as Ronaldo at 18. Who said I have a problem against Monaco winning Ligue 1 or the Champions League? I will even feel happy seeing some young black succeed. Simple, the boy is not as good as a young Ronaldo but I wish him success. |

ChrisKels:When I first saw Etebo playing for my home town team, Warri Wolves, I discussed him with a few guys here. However, never ever approached him the guys around him thier eye too cut and they looked way too hungry, so I coomot hand oh. I also know another premiership team had eyes on him for sure. That was in January. So I am happy for him he is a very good talent with room to improve. |

safarigirl:I think you're taking football too serious. Truth is that football is just a job. No different from being a medical doctor, an actor, a janitor or a fire man. I have an uncle who works as a police man in the UK. His building in the village is about 90% completed. His kids speak our local dialet more than myself. Am sure if you Google his name, he will be introduced as a British police officer. How do you reconcile that? Pogba's elder brother plays for Guinea while Paul plays for France, Mbappe's elder brother plays for Congo. Football is just a job. Who you is who you are. |

Goldfish80, True word. I met Pogba's older twin brothers infact knew one of them when he played at Crew with Chuks Aneke. These guys are undiluted Africans. I remember the Boateng brothers one played for Germany and the other for Ghana. Even our Sone Aluko his sister plays for Nigeria. Fashanu played for England but lives in Nigeria and is fully engrossed in Nigerian life. Anichebe get house for Lagos in yawo is Nigerian. So what makes you a Nigerian ![]() |

komekn:Lol that was a bit harsh but that's by the way, sir forgiveness has this proclivity for downgrading home grown players just to make their foreign counterparts look superior. Most times I don't bother quoting him but when I do, I don't go into details (dissecting) because he already knows the truth but decides to be economical with it for reasons best known to him. How is Ejaria better than Etebo? On what basis would a battering ram like Solanke make a better striker than KC? It might have appeared gibberish and incoherent to you sir but please can sir Forgiveness back up his claims with fact? Next time u wanna quote me, be more refined with your choice of words. U can always cast aspersions but I won't take them when they are that crude. |
