Why did MIA hire people using Ak-47/pump action guns?

She should've hired people using RPGs and Automatic rifles that can clear 2 cars at the same time. sad

Tradition....
'may your marriage be a blessing' The Igwe said lightly patting their backs with his staff 'you both shall be fruitful. No evil eyes against your marriage shall prosper'

'iseeeee'

'where its happening at the back you'll be in front'

'iseeee'

'and when its happening in front, you'll be at the back'

'iseee'

'even the bible says multiply and fill the eart. You shall obey the bible's commandment'

'iseeee'

'you'll be the happies couples the world would ever dream of having'

'iseeeee'

'God bless your union mightily'

'iseeee'

'and may God answer our prayers'

'iseeee'

And with that the audience clapped. The Lolo couldnt contain her joy. She hugged Freda tightly 'we're finally inlaws my friend!'

Freda secretly rolled her eyes. Her friend could be such a dramaqueen 'yeah, we're finally inlaws'

The merriment began. Foods and drinks began to flow in abundance.

'wow!' Chinny sighed dreamily 'she's such a beautiful girl, didnt i tell you? Even her accent is wow!'

'she's very curvy too. She even flashed me a smile when she walked away. I think i like her already' Flora nodded.

Edna also agreed 'i think she's a likeable person'

'would the three of you stop talking nonsense?' Dora said irritatedly 'you dont even know the kind of girl she is. And you're telling me trash 'bout how likeable she is. Wait till she enters the house'

'you're always so judgemental. You think because people do not always like you at first sight, it means other people are not liked at first sight as well?' Chinny retorted.

'are you trying to argue with me? Well, i wont say much. But i've surveyed that Shivani girl and i know her type. Of course she'll try to be friendly. If she enters the house, y'all will know what i'm talking about' Dora hissed.

'abegee!' Chinny raised her palm to her face 'lets hear word. You'll just say you're envious of her seeing she's more beautiful and angellic than you are. So sorry about that Dora but you're not the only beauty queen the world has produced'

Dora stood up aggressively 'you didnt just say that to me!'

Adanna stood up as well 'please y'all should just quit the bickering. People are staring. You dont wanna cause a scene here, would you? The Igwe will never forgive you for that!'

'tell Chinny to watch her tongue!' Dora sat back.

'tell Dora to stop being judgemental' Chinny stuck out her tongue at her.

Dora hissed 'i dont have your time'

'good for you. And good for me'

Meanwhile at the table where the couples sat, Dike kept taking a glance at his wristwatch. He was tired already and all he wanted was to get back home immediately. He felt like letting off steam. It should be...say two months?
He wasnt the type that kept so many concubines. He wasnt the type that believed in love either. He just had flings with girls whenever he felt like letting off steam, with the help of Martins, his friend.

The familiar scent wafted through his nostrils again and it reminded him of the lady beside him. He looked at her face for what seemed like the umpteenth time. She was beautiful indeed. And then he realised that her presence beside him was the factor causing the "konji" he was feeling.

She had a glass of what looked like foreign wine in her left hand but she hardly sipped from it. Infact, she looked totally lost.

And sad as well.

He scoffed. Wasnt she happy she was marrying him? One of the best eligible suitors in town? Wasnt she happy she finally married into royalty and wealth? Pretenders! Wanting to make it look as if she wasnt happy. Like she was being forced to.

She turned to him and their eyes met. He held her gaze for about twenty seconds before looking away.

'you look sad' he whispered.

'do i?' She subconciously touched her face 'well, i...i'm not sad. Maybe my makeup's faded'

'have you had anything to eat?' Why did he even ask? It wasnt as if he had had anything to eat himself. She looked pale and he felt like asking.

She shook her head 'not yet. I think i'll eat when the ceremony's over'

'whats taking the damn ceremony anyway? I'm so bored to death here!'

'has anyone ever told you its so ungentlemanly to cuss in front of a woman?' She asked ever so softly.

He swiftly turned to look at her 'what did you say?'

'you heard me. Well, i dont appreciate you cussing in front of me. In the states, we dont take it likely. Its like an insult. Cussing right in front of me shows utter disrespect'

'utter disrespect for who? You?' He snorted 'tell me, do you command respect as well?'

She winced like she had been smacked across the face 'you didnt just say that to me? I am your wife and i deserve some respect!'

'respect my foot! If you cant deal with it, then Bleep out understood? You dont tell me what to do and what not, what to say and what not'

'you're a bloody fool'

'and you're not any better'

Tradition....
'have my blessings dear. I'll always drop by and see you whenever i can' Freda hugged her daughter with tearful eyes 'i'll miss you. But its better off with you here than abroad. With a total stranger'

'mum? Can you please tell Mia to call me?' She looked worried 'i'm so worried about her. She really didnt attend the marriage'

'oh please! We both know your sister's an asshold, a very dumb animal specie'

Shiv chuckled 'whoever thought you that english didnt tell you its asshole. Not "asshold" as you put it'

'its all the same thing. At least, you understood what i wanted to say'

'yeah i did. But my sister's no asshold. Oh, i mean asshole. I love her and you know it'

'and your love for her is gonna lead you to your doom' She shrugged 'if you're not careful'

'Mia would never try to do anything to me. She loves me too. That we're going through a rough path right now doesnt mean she doesnt care about me. She's always been there whenever i needed her'

'seriously, i have a deep suspicion that Mia has something to do with the attack we had today'

Shiv's eyes narrowed 'how could you say that mother?' She couldnt surpress a gasp.

'why on earth would she refuse to follow us down here if not that she had to carry out her plan...and i swear, this morning, i overheard her making a call to a certain Florence asking that they carry out the plan! Though she didnt mention what the plan was but that was when i started getting suspicious. Mia's a psycho. She's capable of anything'

Shiv exhaled turning her back to her mum 'i really cant believe you could actually say such about your own daughter mother. How could you say such about Mia? Mia'd never do such a thing! Mia cant even hurt a godda....she wouldnt even hurt a fly! And now you're thinking she'd want to kill us? Her family? Her mother and her sister whom she loves so much? What kind of a suspicion is that? I'm very disappointed that you would think so low of your own daughter. Your blood!'

Her mother walked to her front 'now listen and listen very well before your mouth starting gushing like a tap. You've been away for such a long time and you dont even know the type of friend Mia hangs out with. I know this Florence very well. Her father's a well known Chief in Umunda and i've met in few meetings. He isnt a very nice man. And that Florence of a girl is not something to write home about! A girl that smokes like a chimney and drinks like a certified drunk! Is there anything hard that girl doesnt take? Do you know the countless abortions that girl has carried out? Do you even know the dangerous cult she belongs to? Do you know the dangerous people she always hangs out with? Thats Mia bestfriend we're talking about here. And remember the parable that says "show me your friend and i'll tell you who you"'

Shiv coughed 'so what are you trying to say

'that your sister is capable of plotting such an evil plan'

'and lets just say this is true. Lets say you're right this time around mom. But then, why would Mia want to kill us? Her only family? Doesnt make sense at all'
'judging by the kind of friends she keeps, Mia's capable of anything'

'mum i cant believe you're actually saying this!' She spat impatiently 'i'm very disappointed. I never expected this from you. Not you'

'okay fine! Since you choose to believe your sister over your mother then its fine! Do whatever you like. I've told you, this familiarity with your evil sister is gonna lead to your doom. He that has ears, let him ear'

'i cant believe you're warning me against my own sister, your own daughter mum'

'i wont...'

'Shiv dear, Dike's about leaving' Lolo announced entering the room with a bright smile 'Freda honey, stop keeping this girl now. Let her go with her husband now'

'oh, okay. Just giving her some piece of advice' Freda lied. But it wasnt exactly a lie either.

'Shivani come' Lolo beckoned on her. Shiv walked to her and she enveloped her in an embrace 'just take good care of my son for me. His wives are very nice people. Especially Chinemerem and Dora. You'll like them. And remember, Dike's always in a bad mood, so please, learn to tolerate his excesses. However, if he crosses the line, never hesitate to let me know okay?'

Shivani nodded.

Chinny entered the room that instant. She bowed slightly at the Lolo and Freda 'i was told to call her...Shi...'

'Shivani' Shiv completed for her 'or you call me Shiv. Or Uju, Obianuju'

'oh. I think i'll call you whatever comes into my mouth at that point in time. However, i'm Chinemerem, but i prefer being called Chinny or Chinny baby' She said the last two words in Flavour's tone.

Shiv laughed 'alright, no problem'

'come then. Lets go' Chinny stretched out her hands.

Shiv lowered before the Lolo and she blessed her with her horsetail. She did same before her mother and she blessed her as well 'i'll call you later so we'd finish our conversation' She said to her mum who nodded.

Then she took Chinny's hand and they left for the entourage hand-in-hand.

'who am i sitting with?' She asked as they approached the cars.

'Dike of course! Who else?'

'uh! I dont want to sit with Dike, that guy is something else. He aint pleasant at all'

Chinny chuckled 'you havent seen nothing yet. He's such a badass. Dont tell anyone i said that though'

Shivani laughed 'oh dont worry. Your secret's safe with me okay?'

'i believe you my friend. You just have to learn to tolerate him okay? And if he crosses the boundary, lash out at him. God gave you a mouth to defend yourself. Dont let him take you for granted. He's badmouthed. But i believe his badmouth would never rival that of an angry lady, right?'

Shiv chuckled. She liked this one already 'i believe so dear. But i'm not the talkative type....'

'dont even say that again!' Chinny cut in in a fierce whisper. They stopped walking 'see, let me give you a little piece of advice before we enter the car. You see those co-wives of ours, if you are too quiet, they'll all take you for granted. Especially that Dora that likes to parade herself as the madam of the house simply because she's closest to Dike. If anyone says anything to piss you off, please throw your own back at them. Everyone knows me in that house and they try to avoid me because as you see me so, this my mouth' She tapped her mouth gently 'e no get break, no traffic. No leave, no transfer. Always on duty for those who wants it. If you're not like that, they'll use you for footmatch. Dont fear anyone. Tell them as it is. If its white, tell them so, not otherwise. They wont kill you. They'll only carry their face like okpa, nothing more. Dont allow them force you into doing something you dont want to do. Because as you see them so, because you're new, they're ready to leave all the chores for you. Dont mind them! Do the one you can and leave the rest. Dont try to please anyone. Be yourself. If anyone tries you and you cant talk, leave it to me. I'll handle them for you'

Shiv smiled brightly at her talkative friend 'thanks a lot Chinny. I reckon i can count on you for almost everything'

'a hug' Chinny spread her arms and they hugged 'friends?' She raised her palm for a high five.

'friends' She hit her palms.

Tradition...
'Martins you stopped by' Dora smiled tiredly. The ceremony had exhausted her 'i thought you'd go home directly from the village'

'you're right' He looked down at his outfit 'i did go home. To freshen up and change'

'so i take it you and Dike are going out' She had a plate containing fried plantain and eggs in her hands, and just on a simply jean shorts and a black singlet.

'yes. How's the new iyawo doing?'

'she's fine maybe. Chinny who seems to be her new friend has showed her to her room' She forked a plantain into her mouth.

'she's a very pretty girl. I happen to know her younger sister. Had a fling with her once, Mia, something like that'

'hmm, badoo sne!'

'i'm hungry' Dike announced walking in on them. Without being invited, his dipped his hands into Dora's plate throwing some plantains into his mouth. Dora looked at him.

'it seems you've forgotten we had a fight this morning' She pouted.

'really? Did we?' Then he scattered her hair 'c'mon, you didnt take that to heart did you? You should be used to that already'

'you insulted me Dike'

'alright i'm sorry already. But i'm really famished trust me'

Dora shoved the plate into his hands 'have it all, Mr glutton'

'you look sexy tonight' Dike winked 'Frank's doing a great job'

Martins laughed.

'quit it already' She stood up and strolled out of the sitting room.

'so guy whats up with the babes?' Dike asked 'any supple one?'

'i dont even know why you're looking for an outside babe when you've got a fresh pussy in that room opposite yours' Martins said with a playful snort.

'well, she really is fresh. She had the right amount of flesh in the right places just the way i like it. But i cant just starting having sex with her now. You know my vow. That i would never have sex with any of my so-called wives'

'you're just doing yourself sha. You have seven fuckholes at home....'

'Martins, stop referring to them that way. Thats very disrespectful'

Martins laughed 'and you respect them? Look at you, ogbeni shut up and park well jhor! We both know yours is even worse than mine'

'but at least i dont refer to them as f...whatever you called it'

***
THE SEVEN WIVES.
CHINNY: Tboss is very boring. Urghhh!

BENITA: But i prefer her to Efe sort of. Efe just forms warri boy for nothing.

CHINNY: Do you even know what you're saying? Shiv baby, abeg put mouth for this mara, who do you prefer?

SHIV: Hmm, i think i prefer Bisola.

DORA: Please, please and please. We should concentrate on the meal we're preparing other than talking about Big Brother Africa. They're not paying us. Shivani, go and wash the meat.

CHINNY: For what? Why should she wash the meat? Cant you see she's doing something else?

DORA: Whats the meaning of that? I said she should go and wash the meat, is it not her duty as the youngest here? After she's done blending the tomatoes, she should go and wash the meat, simple!

CHINNY: Since you're done slicing the little onions you allocated to yourself, why not wash the meat? Afterall, you're not the one preparing the meal, are you?

DORA: Chinemerem, whats the meaning of this nonsense?! Are you teaching this girl to disrespect me or what?

CHINNY: What i am saying is that, i will not sit here and watch you slave this girl around! If you cannot wash the meat, you leave it! We'll cook it like that, you hear?

EDNA: Chinny, whats your problem nah?

CHINNY: Please please! Hold your own for your corner before i change am for you! If you have a problem, then go wash the meat yourself, dont dare chuk your mouth in my matter, it should never happen again! If you and Dora cannot wash the meat, leave it like that! We'll use mushroom.

DORA: What the hell is wrong with you Chinny?

SHIV: Chinny, dont worry, i'll wash the....

CHINNY: You shut up now! You'll not wash any meat, have you heard what i said? Dont you remember what i told you lastweek? Do not, i repeat, do not let anyone slave you around! Do the ones you can and leave the rest for the others. If they cannot do it, they should leave it!

BENITA: So thats what you told the girl eh? To be disrespecting us abi?

CHINNY: Abeg go siddon for dirty! Dora here, does she respect me, or you or Adanna? She likes to form superiority but i'm sorry, that wont work for me. Dora ought to give me some respect because i'm her senior in this house! You should be ashamed that Dora controls you in this house. You should be ashamed of yourself!

ADANNA: Chinny, you're taking this too far...

FLORA: Exactly!

ADANNA: If Shivani doesnt have a problem with washing it, then she should. Afterall she didnt complain.

CHINNY: If she doesnt have the mouth to complain, i will.

FLORA: Are you her mouthpiece?

EDNA: Ask am oo.

CHINNY: The both of you had berra shut your trap before i attack all of una. Rubbish!

ADANNA: Dora please wash the meat, dont mind Chinny.

DORA: Shivani's the one causing all this problems.

CHINNY: Shiv ignore her. She's just a loser mtcheeww.
