Chinny own don too much. She has told Shiv initially, so she should leave her. If Shiv like, make she become slave, na her nature, she is people's pleaser, she should keep pleasing everyone.
People like her who only turn Chinny to her enemy. They like to satisfy everybody.
Chinny, leave her alone. A word is enough for the wise

What is wrong with Mia? Has Freda succeeded in turning her into a psycho? Why play into her mother's hands by trying to assassinate her own sister over a dickhead and a preek as Dike the asshole? She no try to at all. She ought to have confided in Shivani from the beginning.
Shivani had better grow a backbone o cos her spinelessness is getting on my nerves seriously.
Chinny is my personal person. Who get time for rubbish? Dora had better pack well.

Chumzy Bae you are doing great. Make sure you get the entire 10 points of my ratings. You hear?

In my 20+ years time of living on this 6000years old planet called Earth.. I av come to realise that It is every SINGERS's prayer and ambition is to make it to Grammy award Gala ..

Every footballers wish is to Win Balon'dor.

Every wrestlers wish is to beat John chukwu Cena.

Every Boxer's wish is to defeat Floyd Aduragbemi Mayweather..

Every Judas wish is to become an Iscariot..

Every Lazarus wish is to wake up the 4th day after death.

And Every Nairaland writer's wish is to make it to Front Page.

Tradition...
Mia tapped her fingers on the desk as she looked at her friend 'Florence you bleeped up big time. I never expected this from you'

'its no fault of mine Mia. You gave us the wrong information. How were we supposed to deal with that?' Florence asked, a frown on her face as a cigarette dangled between her lips.

'that doesnt change the fact that you didnt carry out the job properly Florence! Do you know what it cost me?' Mia was fuming now.

Florence tossed the packet to her 'here. A stick or two will calm you down. Meanwhile i prepared a hottie for you. A youngie' She winked 'he will take away all your worries'

'oh Florence i'm not in the mood for rubbish!' Mia snapped 'if you have nothing important to say, then shut the Bleep up'

Florence took a long drag from her cigarette and looked at her seething friend, with a wry smile she said 'dont speak to me anyhow oo Mia. Because i'm not the cause of your problems. Mind the way you speak'

'is that a threat?' She reached for the packet.

'not really'

She let out a huge sigh 'we'll plan again. That they are married doesnt mean things wont go south. Meanwhile, you said you had a hottie for me'

Florence let out a laugh 'i told you he might be helpful'

***
Shiv wondered why Choudhary would stop calling her. His calls made her guilty and felt filthy. She disappointed him. She broke his heart and she wasnt sure she'd ever forgive herself for doing such to him when all he did was shower her with so much love.

'Choudhary please stop calling' She said immediately she picked the call with a tired sigh 'i'm very sorry for everything that happened. But will you stop calling please? I'm someone else's now. I'm someone's wife. You cant keep calling me. Most especially by this time. I'm very sorry, please....'

'is this Shivani Oke on the line?' a strange voice cut in immediately and impatiently.

'huh? Who's this please?' A frown creased her brows.

'this is Dr Wane on the line. Mr Choudhary Sharma was admitted here yesterday. He wont stop asking of you and we were asked to call you'

'what?!' She sprung up immediately 'what happened? I mean, how, why? Is he sick? Did he get into an accident?' She mumbled.

'he took hard drugs and was admitted here two days ago. He wants to see you. He couldnt stop calling your name when he regained consciousness. So i used his phone in calling'

I was momentarily numb. Speechless. What could i say?

'but from the +234 kissing your number, i can tell you're in Nigeria. How you gonna make it down here on such short notice?' The doctor asked.

She could feel the tears burning at the back of her throat and she couldnt trust herself to speak. But she tried nonetheless 'uhm...yes, i'm in Nigeria. And...i have no plans of returning. Regards to Choudhary. Wish him a quick recovery on my behalf but i cant return. I'm so sorry'

And with that she ended the call. She felt like a monster. How could she do this to Choudhary? He was going to hate her now. What did he ever do to deserve this?

Tears dropped from her eyes.

She quickly cleaned it off feeling thirsty. She needed water

Re: Tradition - A Story by Chumzypinky(f): 5:07pm On Mar 18, 2017
She quietly sneaked out of her room and headed for the kitchen. It was dark and she loved it that way. It was late already and everyone must have retired to bed or that was what she thought.
She already knew where the refridgerator was located so she just walked towards that direction.

The lights suddenly came on. She nearly screamed. Dike stood beside the switch with a look of irritation on his face 'so its you?'

She quickly regained her composure 'yes its me' She walked to the refridgerator taking out a cold bottled water. She reached for the cabin retrieving a glass cup.

'were you planning to steal something or what? What were you doing sneaking 'round the kitchen?' He eyed her.

'i should be asking you the same question. What were you doing in the kitchen when its dark? Surely you were plannin' to steal something right?'

He threw his head backwards in laughter 'you seem to have forgotten this house belongs to me. And i can go about anytime i like'

Shiv smacked her lips 'good for you'

He glanced at her once more 'what are you doing here anyway? Arent you supposed to be in bed? I heard you making a call'

She quickly looked at him 'were you...' She swallowed 'eavesdropping?'

'i have no reason to eavesdrop on your call. I just walked past and i heard you voice which you were foolish enough not to have realised you were supposed to keep it low. You were obviously speaking to your boyfriend, so does the whole house get to hear the entire conversation?'

'for starters, i wasnt speaking to no boyfriend of mine. And even if i was, its none of your business' She said fiercely.

'i never said its any of my business. Mere looking at you, its very easy to note how much of a flirt you are. People like you never stay faithful to their spouses'

'you must be very mad for saying such!' She dropped the glass on the shelf quickly 'you're very very stupid for mentioning such! How dare you say such a thing to my face? Are you any better?!'

He scoffed 'i'll say that to your face and even more. You're just an opportunist. I'm very sure you practically jumped up for joy when your marriage to me was being planned. You fink i dont know your type? From the very first day i set my eyes on you, i know this beauty was just worthless. Because what lay beneath this beauty of yours is more dangerous than we can ever imagine...'

A hot slap on his left cheek silenced him quickly 'what the...' He glared at her.

'thats for saying nonsense about me. You dont even know me well to judge me, what sort of a man are you?!'

'i am going to give you a sound warning and believe me you, it wont happen again. If you ever, i repeat, if you ever, in your full miserable life lay your filthy, scandalous and slutty hands of yours on me again, that will be your end. This should never happen again, do you understand me?!'

'you would do nothing. Nothing more than a dead rat can attempt. What the hell do you even think you are? You think you're the next best thing to Palmwine and Sharwama or the next best thing to Dog Meat? Be very careful Mr Dike Ikemba. Because i dont take trash from anyone. Most especially someone like you. That we are in this sham of a marriage doesnt mean you can take me for granted. I am not under you. And i'll never be. Idiot!' She hissed and sashayed out of the kitchen.

'goddammit!' He seethed in anger holding his cheeks.
