I don't know how people are so daft about this uniform stuff. What if the man wears uniform to the Senate? They will say yes, we forced him to our toes? God bless you my dear,for u to have an understanding of how the game is beenplayed.the two cardinal roles of the national assembly is make law and oversight. The oversight put them in a very special privilege position far and above the executive. It is sad that we are in the same country with these set of people, the president who could not produce a school cert,malami who had no antecedent in the practice of law and the Ali who is a dropout from the military, how do u expect them to understand law and order.

Do u know u are pathetically ignorant. You are obsolete when it comes to how things function and the reason why they are the way they are. Perhaps u don't know what BREAKING RANK means and the consequences of doing so. And for that singular reason, the senate can issue a warrant of arrest for him which he very well knows and that's why he cowardly made himself available when summoned. Instead of foolishly attacking the senate for doing what they have been voted to do, tell your pay master to put his dog on a leash.

The legislature are not law enforcers, if they have any issue with the executive on the issue of enforcement, they should go to the Judiciary. That is the principle.

Enforcement of the law enacted by the legislature and interpreted by the Judiciary resides with the executive which it does through relevant government agencies. Now, you are educated on the functions of the three arms of government in a democracy.

AGREE, my point is what after wearing the uniform to the senate, he dumps it again, will they summon him again? and they will be fighting in the wind, and at the end of the day, nothing tangible will be achieved on the issue, after wasting much money to host the so called the stubborn man. The legislative is the most powerful arm of government in a democracy incase u don't know. They determine who forms part of the Judiciary and can also take away executive powers. Follow up the political happenings in south Korea presently so that u would have a full grasp as to how powerful the legislative is.

thank you.i wonder how some people reason, i dont understand why Nigerians are blind to the fact that their senators are the stumbling block to the country's progress.What offence has the CG committed, why cant they come out with any section of the law that mandates him to wear uniform. I see a case of ego-clashing here and that is why 9ja isnt progressing. Why cant these Senators go to the meat of the reason why they want to engage the CG? Why cant Nigerians see that these guys just want to score cheap political points and pretend like they are representing Nigerians? Is it not clear enough that these bunch of touts only represent their pockets. The biggest stumbling block to Nigeria moving forward is the Senate or House of rep people. My question is simple- how does wearing of one uniform or the other affect critical matters? Is it that in the US, the Homeland Security Chief that wears suit is not proud of their uniform, other Heads of uniform-wearing agencies? Why cant they move on to the critical matters. For those of you saying then the junior officers can also stop wearing uniforms, the fact is they are mandated to do so, simple.
