Here comes another benefit of being a member of this forum as I wish to offer free surgical services to ten members of this forum in January next year. I joined this forum about 8yrs ago and I have been blessed in so many ways. so, am willing to give back in my own little way. my newly established medical facility, MediChoice clinics, Ota. located at Oloko community, opposite Obasanjo bus stop, ota will be opened for a comprehensive and evidence based healthcare services tomorrow Saturday December 31st, 2016. So, niralanders with surgical conditions like Hernia ( ipake), surface swelling like Lipoma, ganglion and keliods, Hydrocele etc can show up. it's going to be absolutely free from card collection, to pre op, op, and post op. for those with cases I mayn't be able to handle ( giant fibroids that may need myomectomy/ hysterectomy, goitre etc) I'll compile a list of just 5 of you and I will include it for consideration in the next surgical outreach that'll be organized by the association of rural surgical practitioners of Nigeria(ARSPON) in which am a member. to apply, Just drop a comment here. The procedure will be done on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd, 2017. the selected people wud be contacted before then for registration and walk up investigations. Thank you.

God bless you real good for this gesture.

And happy birthday to your lovely wife.

I pray that as you've decided to put hope and smile on some people's lives and faces, things of joy will never cease in your life and family.

Though, I'm not with those health problems you mentioned but I'm so happy that some who had it but was constrained to have done the surgery due to finances are going to have reasons to be happy once again.

yes free, the goal is to reach the unreached. this is the first time I'll be doing this on here but to the glory of God, we've been doing this for sometimes. we did about 120 surgeries at One Life hospital, bolade oshodi in May this year, I was among the volunteers who took part in a four day medical outreach organized by Honourable Bisi Yusuf, representing Alimosho constituency 2 at the Lagos State house of Assembly. we did over 300 surgeries in 4 days (sept 2016), God bless that man wherever he is. He is a true giver. we were at oke iho town early this year. this is not going to be an exemption as its going to be free as well. Late Dr Awojobi left competent hands behind and his gospel of reaching out to people who cannot afford to pay for surgical services is spreading.

prostate enlargement can either be a BPH or CaP and their management differs. there are so many factors to consider. prostatectomy is a major procedure which should be handled by a specialist (urologist). pls take the patient to a nearby teaching hospital or FMC for further evaluation and expert care.

Hmmmm, okay, I'll do it for her at no cost since you are just seeing this. I need to See the lesion first, to rule out bone involvement and possibility of malignancy. you will have to take the excised tumour to the lab for histology at your own cost okay? she can come around on Thursday nxt week. Pls inform me if u'll be coming. drkaymedu@gmailcom.

She can come around for evaluation. goitre has many types. since it's becoming symptomatic, she will benefit from urgent surgery if it's a non toxic type. I can't handle the surgery though, I can recommend some centres.

Doctor I have had this hypertrophic scar on my foream for like 8years that even though now feels soft has refused to reduce in both size and pigmentation. It may also be interesting to know that I ve had other scars that were bigger but have completely healed up and taken up the normal colour of my skin. What do you suggest I do to the stubburn scar on my fore arm?

What is the genesis of the wound that led to the scar? If you're sure that its not keloid( which I think it may), it'll reduce with time. Some suggest application of shear butter with recurrent application of pressure on the scar but these are not evidence based.

I really can't remember the cause, I think maybe cut. but over the years I have had more serious scars that have healed up. This particular scar is soft and flexible is that how a keloid is?
I ve had it since childhood and it seems to have grown along with my skin.

Okay, I think the right thing to do is to consult a plastic surgeon for proper evaluation and expert management. You can easily get one in any of the tertiary centers near you.
