There elites, politicians and those whose businesses re tied to Nigeria want a united Nigeria. But the poverty stricken ones who have never crossed River Niger re the real agitators!

Please shut the hell up. What obtained in north-east is not a war or even a police action. A mere insurgency cannot be compared to Nigeria/Biafra war. I do not know why certain fools always try to solicit for insignificant favor.
We have seen your comprehension prowess, thank you.

All of them politicians are the same whether housa Igbo or Yoruba ,they conspire to bleed the country dry and our youth refused to understand this menace.the day ekwere stops benefiting from national looting for himself and his family he will support secession the housas that has been ruling since only enrich their families and cronies, we need a general revolution as youth and salvage this country devoid of tribe or religion ,that's the only way out, secession can never work
Which youths? Divided youths who rather choose ethnicity and hatred than better life for future.
Must of them are seated in their fathers couches with remote controls thinking is done.
Tribalism murdered the youths in the altar of Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa. Youths in Nigeria are leaders of tomorrow when Osinbanjo @ 60 is a youth according President Buhari.
So can the youths revolt against the parents who is looting for them? Answer.

I think its High time when history should be added back to Nigerian school curriculum ,show the weakness of the war, motive behind the war and why it didn't succed and also let young people know that nobody was the winner of the war as acclaimed ,this will go a long way in easing the uneding tribal wars and tribal hate .. we just Need love and trust as a nation .. whether Yoruba or IBO ,itsekiri and ijaw , Hausa and Fulani.. we are all one ,we have been living together since 1914 .. over 100yrs is that not enough time to love one another

Comrade Uchenna Madu.
It grieves me to tell you that there is nothing like the ancient kingdom of Biafra.

Stop lying! Stop lying!! Stop lying!!!

Nairaland's resident IPOBs won't know the difference between reality and rhetoric.

If Biafra could not stand between 1967 and 1970,then I am afraid...
It took the overt effort of UK, and covert support of the US, Netherlands, and many others to join Nigeria in crushing Biafra. Don't forget that

And why did most of the West stay on Nigeria's side? Oil. From London to Amsterdam, they needed to protect their own commercial interests, nevermind the rhetoric about self-determination and democracy

Please tell the Europeans who finally found peace after centuries of war had decimated their numbers. It's not history books that teaches people about the futility of war, it's the suffering and casualities
