Hello gurus in d house i need ur help. i have a 2000 model rav4 L 4x4 auto tranny and 3s-Fe engine. i noticed about 2 weeks ago when i stopped to buy fuel while i was travelling d car refused to start not untill i cranked it twice, now its getting worse i ve to crank it 3 to 4 times b4 it fires up. It starts well when engine is cold this only happens when engine is warm/hot. i took it to d workshop d mec. Said i need to change d fuel pump and service d fuel nozzles this i disagreed cus d car moves well, no hesitation, it does not stall nor lag when in motion only d hard start when d engine is hot. Please guys Wats advice do U have. Tanks.

u car need 3 basic things to start :fuel, ignition, and air.
your car is obd2 complaint, try to scan it first if the car self-diagnostic management system can store any fault code related to the above .
