Scarcity is real , I almost lost my resident permit say I dey wait to renew my passport , waited for 5 weeks no passport , I knew I had to go there and disturb em ... It took the intervention of the PCO office to get my passport , had to pay extra money and got it the nxt day , left naija same day I got my passport ......

This is true. I was at the Enugu command yesterday and I was shocked to discover that the price has not only changed but delivery time of a new passport would take almost a month as there are shortages of booklets due to low production.

Pls bro, where is Immigration office in Enugu and how much is the new price?

Nothing new. It has been the case at many Nigerian foreign missions abroad for over 6 months now.

Many people could not travel to Nigeria last December.

Passports that were due for collection at embassies around 10th of October 2016 were not. In fact they were only ready around mid-February this year. Many coming home for a funeral had to postpone or miss it altogether. Not to mention Christmas.

Only those who already had foreign passports were able visas or TCs to travel to 9ja.

There has not been such a low point for a long time. But Zombies keep defending.

I wanted to renew my passport last month and was told they don't have booklets. When I asked when it would be available, they said they don't know.

The price now is N30,000. Interestingly, it won't ready until almost a month from now if you apply.

The immigration setvice should already have a rough idea of the number of applications to expect at each given time, so what is so difficult to manage their stock?

My passport expires in November. I guess I have to start applying for replacement ASAP.
