Thanks my brother. I wonder how some of these people reason. If Dangote employs his brothers and he is paying them 100k and the igbo distributors are selling his products and making profits in millions, who is having a better deal here?

And if Dangote manufactures, will the product sell itself? Even Dangote will laugh at these people's stupi.dity because he knows the importance of distributors to his business. Ok i remember u called them conehead.

These haters and their foolish reasoning. Na wa for them.

The reason why I had hardly comment on this forum is because most of you guys always comment without fact. For your information, I have had opportunity of working in one of his companies as a salesman, the distributors network of the company across the country shows the SE as having the lowest turn over in volume and I had had to head enugu and PH offices . In fact, what a single distributor in Kano will buy in a month, is equivalent to what Aba and Onitcha will buy. This is not peculiar to dangote product alone but almost other company products, so it is necessary for you guys to stop this self glorification face fact. As some body has mention earlier in the post, an investor will invest in an area where he hope his economy of scale is favourable. Thank you.

Dangote has investment in the South east (trading investment but may be not manufacturing),besides Cement business is only one out of his numerous investments
sCun:
In summary he has two plants in the north central, one in the South west.
Why not ask for his investments in his home region the North west before asking about the South east? What about North east? What about South south? He is only planning to set up one in Calabar, as of now he doesn't have any investment in the South South.

We don't want those kind of people to come and pollute our land with their monopoly
Dangote can keep his blood money we don't need it

As a general rule for them, anybody whose view, post or opinion strongly contrast with theirs is immediately branded Yoruba, yoloba or their newly discovered sobriquet, Afonja

Good question.

But before you ask why the richest man in Africa is not investing in the Southeast region, you must first ask why southeastern people are not investing in their own region. When you get the answer to that question, you will automatically know the answer to your Dangote question.

The problem with ur uneducated tribal bigot type is dat u sit down in ur oshigbo brown roofs and type rubbish.

Oga have u travelled outside ur home at all?

Do u know how many indigenous companies domiciled in the SE

DO U know ogbuawa
Am sure u don't, but most of those made in China machine spare parts are actually made in Nnewi.

Can u compare the quality of IBETO cement with Dangote?

If not Obasanjo, Dangote cement would've been extinct.

God bless yaradua

Do U know Solive Oil? Am sure u don't but if U've visited Abuja before, u will know him

If only I hv time 4 ignorant peeps like u I would've taken time tell u many things that u USE AND EAT that u don't know re produced in the SE.

dre is know geopolitical zone in this country that is Economically stable like SE.

U need to travel. And witness dre living standard.

Go

ITS obvious

IBETO HAS TAJEN THE SHARE OF THE MARKET DRE.

U forgot that SE always love dre own.

And why would I buy Dangote cement
When IBETO Cement will offer a better yield per KG even when IBETO is more expensive

WE JUST renovated our house, when I called my father to send down some cash, d quotations he gave me was too high for cement per bag so I was like luk 4 Dangote Cement ,

His reply was that most brick layers don't like Dangote cement cos it doesn't dry fast and doesn't harden very well compared to IBETO

BUA is even better.

Abeg go work on ur product before u cm here to talk of market share

he can't compete with igbo's but he is competing with Tanzanian, south Africa, Cameroonians, Ghanaians and even Zimbabwe's.

..and if you are a builder, you will choose all these other cement brands over dangote cement.

Are you saying that Dangote monopolized Lagos?

Am sure u re not a builder
Dangote cement is d worst and cheapest cement in Nigeria

The problem is that pple re deceived by the Price and popularity.

If u have client who knows value strength and have the money

He will either choose IBETO or Elephant

I've told u pple to travel outside ur region.

If u doubt me ASK any block industry manager.

From business and profits point of view, the SE is not and never the ideal place for any meaningful investment. The critical factors are not present to even start with? This is the reason why the little businesses they have in that region are not thriving.

1. Availability and access to raw materials

2. Safety and security

3. Access to major markets and consumers.

4. Conducive business environment and investment friendly local authorities

5. Access to skilled, motivated and educated labor.
And 6. Lack of land.

With Ibeto,Guo,Innoson and very numerous businness tycoons already domiciled there it would be bad idea for Dangote to start there(he will be chewed raw by the stiff competition).....tis like asking GM to go fight for market dominance in Japan, the hometown of Honda,Toyota,KIA,Mitsubish etc....Tis good thinking to fight for dominance in the neutral grounds of Southwest and the rest of the country....You know how those slaves enjoy paid employment and pean nuts....no businness acumen, industry or competition.South West is every industrialist wet dream.

KIA is Korean not Japanese

Abi o...dem go insult him people upandan, still want make e invest for their state grin grin. Have they asked why he doesn't invest in his own region? because he has none in the North west.

1) The competition in the east is fierce. Succeeding there is not for the feeble minded.

2) We have Ibeto cement; very good quality. We shouldn't support monopoly, right?

3) Gullibility is an uncommon behaviour in the East as it relates to purchasing....You have to be very convincing abt ur product and wah makes it better than our indigenous products.

Buh guess wat? if you eventually hit it big in the East, b4 long, you'll be overthrown by a better product if you allow complacency set in...Envy is bad buh wen you envy to do better, it's allowed....dahs how innovation happens
