If you want to see a war ship ....Check Nimtz

Child of hate, why can't you appreciate Nigeria for once?? FYI, it's Nimitz and it's a class of Aircraft Carriers which aren't in the same categories of ships as these! angry And to those clamouring for aircraft carriers, what operation is Nigeria undertaking that they need to shell out 1.5billion dollars for a shiny new aircraft carrier?? Even the great Russian Navy only has one, please think again

Is that why you should react like that? Didnt I call them frigates before you? If they re are boats, how come they dont' have anything identifying them.

Get real fotos of our ships in our waters before passing judgment on people.
Stop making a fool of yourself.

This is a strategic intelligence that is not meant for Internet consumption. Countries all over the world send espionage agents to other countries for the sole aim of uncovering their military might. Why would our own be readily available on the net like this?

Seun, lalasticlala, mynd44 please take it down before our intelligence operatives come after Nairaland.
u have not said anything intelligent. If u check NL very well u ll see war ships or other countries.

Sa has, the money budgeted for military spending all this years can buy a couple of carriers and subs, we could even build them ourselves bt no thanks to corruption.

We dont need carriers, even SA's own is useless, just for show off to countries in southern africa...Egypt is the only african country that truly uses its fancy military equipment, all others na just show abeg...

You do not even have a WWII class Destroyer and you are asking about aircraft carriers. It takes more than moribund Frigates and Patrol boats to operate an aircraft carrier.

You are such an Intelligent fool, shior. SMH

NO. BEING "TORPEDOED" IS DIFFERENT FROM BEING FITTED WITH TORPEDO. I WAS CORRECTING THE SENTENCE.

Some of those underdeveloped dolts think Aircraft carriers are sausages, what do you expect of citizens in a country with an underfunded ministry of education?

Hi
Posting this with hope to locating my dad who was in the Nigerian Navy in 1972-1974 certain dates as he dates my mother during this time and did his officer training.
His name is or was Ibrahim and was known also as Ben.
I believe he was a commodore and went through his ranks to become an commander in chief or admiral. (I’m not completely sure)

He came to Portsmouth in England many times and unfortunately I don’t know what ship.
Is there a way of finding an list of personnel’s during this time or does anyone remember him? He would be around the age of 68/70

If anyone can help I’d be extremely grateful. I know it’s a long hope but this year I lost my mum to Cancer and would like to trace him.

Kind regards
