N-power Beneficiaries' Challenging Question by Octech: 1:39am On Mar 25, 2017
The greatest challenging question that torments me as a N-power beneficiary, especially as N-teach category is, what do this government plan to do with me @ the end of the two year's engagement? Push me back into the teaming labor market to start the job search all over again? These are the the questions people ask me every day and I can't find the answers to. For the other sectors; like the health and Agro, I can say, with small amount you can practice after acquiring the skills on your own, but how much can start up a licensed school for me? Please, some who know the government should find me answers to this question. shocked shocked

I think the federal government can not relieve the beneficiaries like that. Is either they absorb the beneficiaries into the ministry depending on their area that is: Agric. Ministry, Health ministry, & Education ministry or they give them empowerment.

I think the beneficiaries should start pushing this idea of absorption after the stipulated two years to the government now. The two years is ticking and running out gradually. It will not orgur well if at the end of the two years, the beneficiaries are sent back to the street looking for what to do.

As for me, I pray God help me as I make my plans.
I'm for N-agro, I'm still yet to taste my stipend. But I'm happy my name is always out on every list e.g I saw my name on the list at the ministry of Agric. I currently work as a Science teacher in a Private secondary where I earn little. But thank God I'm supervising WAEC exams as we speak, so that will add more to my pocket at the end (both from exam runs and WAEC official payment to supervisors). All of these monies plus about 90k Npower is owing me (Dec - March stipends cheesy ) can help me develop myself as I'm presently studying Computer networking (CISCO).
.
So it all depend on you as a person. Work towards your own plans, and Federal government's assistance at the end of Npower will be a plus. The mistakes during our NYSC year should be corrected now.
