Couple burn manhood of 17-year-old boy for allegedly raping their daughter

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Sokoto state, says it has arrested a couple for allegedly burning the manhood of a 17-year old boy following allegation that the boy raped their four-year-old daughter.

The Commandant of the Corps, Babangida Abdullahi, confirmed the arrest in an interview with journalists in Sokoto on Wednesday.

The Commandant pointed out that the couple, were arrested on Tuesday, at their Sama residence, Sokoto.

According to him, “They alleged that the teenager, a Senior Secondary School three students, raped their four-year old daughter.

“So, they sponsored some boys who seized him on March 24, took him to the suspects’ house, the suspects severely tortured him and burnt his manhood.

“They also locked him up in a toilet up to the following day, March 25.

“The victim was later taken to the Specialist Hospital, Sokoto, where he is responding to treatment.”

According to Abdullahi, the couple was arrested yesterday for allegedly taking the law into their hands.

The commandant further explained that the suspects would soon be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.

The Father of the victim, Abdullahi Ibrahim, a teacher at Sultan Bello Secondary School, Sokoto, called on the state government to assist the family in seeking justice for his son.

He also appealed to the Sultanate Council of Sokoto, local and international human rights groups, among others to intervene.

I'm in a dilemma to either commend the couple or condemn them

The delay of justice through the court system still makes it impossible for people to stick to the court while there's an escape route for jungle justice

Now the boy may go scot free even with the rape allegation

"Buy your sausage!, hot hot sausage!"

From one bad drama to another worst one.. tit for tat.. who is to be punished by the law.. the parent or the culprit who is going through pains inflicted by the child parent?

He got what he deserved!!
Yh, he got served..
Rape is an act that is humiliating and psychologically crushing for the victim.

He deserved to be punished but not that way...

Two wrongs can not make a right !

So many people are quoting me already.

I know that it hurts so much.

But, i feel that the law has a better punishment for offenders of the law.
Instead of the person to go to the prison for taking laws into his hands.

If he is really guilty, then i see this as a fair treatment. He deserve just that.

i dont support this act/retaliation...but its a way of feeling/knowing the consequences/pains inflicted on the little girl
