Yea, that's what they all say until Barca comes calling. Trust, there are TWO football clubs you don't say no to - either as a player or a coach: Barcelona and Real Madrid. Anyway, my sources are saying that he's on the 3 name shortlist. So he's got about 30% chance anyway. O pari Chrismario: |

Omo, I reached that conclusion because he doesn't play as good for England. I mean, he does better for Spurs. O pari edi287: |

True that; until he has one or two bad outings for the 3 Lions, then you'd realize that as a black man in the English national team....you rarely get a second chance. O pari tbaba1234: |

A coach to look out for in the NPFL is Fidelis Ilechukwu of MFM. It is not a fluke that MFM has all these young players coming up through their ranks. He has to be given alot of credit. Even going back to 2015 when our u20 used their keeper and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi. To add to that the guy is a character, must watch tv. |

tbaba1234:I've tried answering this question but you keep repeating them over and over again. For goodness sake, where do you think NPFL clubs sign players from? Do they import players from Mars? Is it not the same academies and youth clubs which supplies players to the various national cadet teams and European clubs that serves as conveyor belt to the NPFL clubs? For starters, Abia warriors had an open screening before the start of this season and about 400 players from various academies spread out through the length and breath of the country showed up. 3sc did the same, players in their hundreds showed up. Rangers couldn't even contain the crowd that showed up when they threw their camp open for screening into their feeder team. European clubs are run by capitalists. They want to invest $1 and earn $1M. The reason these guys go for academy players from Africa, especially Nigeria is because they get away with paying these desperate youngsters stipends not salaries. These youngsters are payed between $500-800 a month. They cannot offer professional players such contracts. I know some NPFL player who came back and continued playing in the local league because they actually earn more playing at home. If it were up to you, we shouldn't even think of having a league. We should wait for Nigerians in diaspora to produce babies who will come play for the super eagles because there is a dearth of talents who could be nurtured at home. That's a very shallow blue print to follow. Even the much celebrated Etebor, was absued on this thread when Siasia played him ahead of some established stars against Egypt. Anyone in doubt should check the first 5 pages of this thread and see for themselves. Today the same rejected Etebo has become one of our better players in the Super Eagles. If Siasia didn't give him that chance, Rohr would roll into town and watch for Etebor to give him a good first impression. Hmm Did Warri Wolves win the champions league? How mange Etebo could emerge from such a team that went on relegation? |

He wasn't exactly spectacular at the Euros but he is still in the team.... know why? He is still by far the best England have in the AM and CM position... guess who is his backup in the AM role? another Boy with Nigerian blood, Ross Barkley.... ![]() So either ways... England have these two and these two are England's finest.... Confession: Both Dele and Ross are true big losses for us. And I wish them the best. Dele especially is a special player who also holds the world record for the most nutmegs done in 30seconds.... Also, he scored more goals and made more assists (24goals and 12 assists (I think?) more than even Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in his first 50 EPL games.... He is England's answer to any Midfielder in the world from the other European nations at the moment... imagine him in a super Eagles shirt.... mehn!! with Nacho, Success, Iwobi and Onyekuru or Lookman or Onyedimma or even Ndidi all around him.... kaaiiiiii Won't that be Explosion??!!!!!! He is a loss for us but we have to move on.... and focus on the other top young talents from home (like Odey), from our Youth systems like K. Nwakali, Osimhen, Nazifi Yahaya and all (U-17, U-15, U-20), and from Abroad like Onyedimma, Lookman, Ejaria, Tammy, Solanke, Ike Ugbo, Josh Maja, Joel Asoro, etc.... (the foreign borns/breds). goldfish80:Again, you are missing the point. I want a quality league and right now, it simply is not there. That is why talented players fail to progress in quality. Nigerians abroad are not more talented than Nigerians at home. They just have a better foundation and the opportunities to get better. The Nigerian League does not offer that opportunity. At least, not at the moment. For every Etebo, there are tens of others who wasted away because the league did not give them the tools to reach that next level. We have seen so many one hit wonders. Unless, we realize that the quality of the league is not up to scratch, then we will put goal records in proper perspectives. |

LOL. You're definitely a fan....a big one. Don't get me wrong tho, I like the guy. I think he's a great talent, that's why it bothers me that he decided to stick his lot with England because I know that they'll dump him once they find a true English guy who's half as good. I am not a big fan.... just one who loves to say things as they truly or potentially are ![]() Remember me debunking The Alli-Mikel comparison? Well, that should tell you something.... I am no fanboy... just one who wanna give balanced analysis. ![]() And I have no doubts that England will roll over Alli once they discover another gem that is "truly English" and maybe only half as good as Alli.... But until then... Alli is the best they've got. Icon79: |

Icon4s: I expected better from Paul Lambert. As a fan of the former Borussia Dortmund player, this to me comes as a surprise to me. Sad the way these men treat our young players. I hope Iorfa Snr changes his mind about this Until Dominic turns 23 story. If he can help the Super Eagles flourish, let him join his fellow Brother Eagles and fight for our flag. Scouts are watching and the exposure will help the young man. As for Paul Lambert, Kicks are on the way.
