It has to be Jon snow, read somewhere he married dany. Littlefinger will be killed by Arya. Jon will ride one of the dragons. The other got killed by the Night King and he now rides him. Bran will expose Jons true lineage and birth place. The final battle between the living and the dead should be in the last season 8.

If lyana did marry rhaegar secretely and varys confirms it, then jons claim will be stronger than hers and i think she will concede the throne willingly to a true blood tagaryean male rather than keeping it for herself as apparently she is barren, she will choose to be his queen! Then choose a consort/second queen for him to continue the tagaryean lineage with, my pick would be sansa stark!

Why would Varys confirm it ? He is an Aegon supporter.

Until Ned Stark's arrival at the Tower of Joy, ONLY the 3 kingsguards with Rhaegar knew of Jon Snow's parentage, and they never lived to tell anyone. If Varys had known, he would have done a lot more than just watch Ned Stark gallivant off to Winterfell and raise the heir to the Iron Throne as a bast@rd for the next 17 years. Compare with how he kept tabs on Viserys and Daenerys across the Narrow Sea (and even actively nurtured "Young Griff" through Connington in the books).

The thing is, the master of whispers doesn't know everything. For instance, here are 3 past things he didn't know until they were no longer secrets: Daenerys Targaryen hatched 3 dragons, Tywin Lannister's Red Wedding scheme, and Sansa's whereabouts after she disappeared from Kings Landing. And here are a few more things he still doesn't know up till now: the white walkers are real, a true-born male Stark still lives, the whereabouts of Arya Stark, Jaime Lannister re-learning to fight with his left hand, Stannis Baratheon killed his brother...

I agree Varys doesn't know everything, but with what he knows, he makes you think that he does. Sometimes he knows, but he only let's it slip in full detail or partially, depends on if he thinks it will further his plans. What plans ? To put their(Illyrio and Varys) candidate on the throne. He's an end justifies the means type of character, who thinks his own vision of an end will be the best for everyone else. Varys does know Sansa's whereabouts though. He has spies in the Eerie; Ser Shadrich the Mad Mouse, who even appears in the TWOW excerpt Alayne, the other is Ser Illifer the Pennyless, their both there right now trying to kidnap her.

No, he is a targayrean partisan!

Aegon would have the strongest claim in the books, jon in the movies, so yes, varys would confirm it in the movies or try to reconcile it to be all inclusive by mergin his cause with that of dannys seeing as he has always had a hand in every targayrean plot from viserys to danny to aegon!

For season 7, I'm most excited for Arya (who to kill next?), Bran (What do I do with my new powers?), Varys (Lets see how this web I'm spinning connects) and the dynaism between Sansa and Littlefinger.

Though Lord Varys is a major player,what he confirms or doesn't confirm is nobody's business.He is just a 'titular' Lord (i.e has no land or castle).Also he's not a Westerosi.Aegon VI will be better confirmed by Jon Connington who was once a Hand,Lord and friend to the mighty Prince Rhaegar Targaryen.

For any of these Targs to really have a foothold in Westeros, they need to have some of the major houses supporting them.Varys himself suggested the same in s06.Both in the books and show, House Martell will support anybody and everybody who is a Targaryen. I'm not too certain about House Tyrell in the books.As for the other southern Houses, Houses Tully and Baratheon have been all but decimated.That leaves House Arryn.But those guys have their heads 'high in honour' so I doubt they'll even care (except of course Baelish flexes his fingers).

The North has parted ways with the South and as already suggested,Jon is a regional character and won't concern himself with mundane things like politics.

The Iron Islanders to me seem far removed and insignificant.Yes,they can swing a naval battle in your favour,but that's that.

Gendry Waters on the throne though... .The only person Gendry has a better chance of seating on the Iron Throne is Hot Pie.

Same way I see it too, however I think Danny would die from the childbirth. Which would make Jon the king and his son "the stallion that mounts the world".

Or Jon dies and Dany will reign. But am convinced both of them will not live to the end of that series, one of the two is surely going to die.

What we are needing confirmation of from varys is the probability of rhaegar marrying lyanna secretly making Jon legally a targayrean with a stronger claim on the iron throne than daenerys at least according to westerosi laws and not just a bastard with the surname fire instead of snow. Showise at least. It is his testimony and not his authority if any that we are ruminating on. Catch my drift?

You've voiced my exact thoughts.Varys won't care to reveal,even if he did he doesn't have enough reputation to force Jon on the Westerosi especially when he has his own candidate(s)/agenda.I feel Jon has no interest in any other thing but 'the Great War' if he is indifferent when his true parentage is revealed to him
