I was about 8 or 9 at the time and already had a hunger for money.
With my friends, we had this pastime of sailing/jumping sticks set at some height and would keep jumping and raising the bar to see who would best the rest.

On this day, one last came around and set the bar so high. She then placed some good money, like 2naira or 5naira at the time.

We were blown. No other person would take the jump.
It was so high that it was obvious one won't come away unhurt after taking the jump.

I stared at the money for a long time and I can't tell what pushed me. I just made for it.
I ran towards the set stick and flee up. I somersault In the air, beating the mark and came crashing on my back.

I landed unhurt on my back and the other kids screamed with joy. I hit the money.

The lady came over and gave me the money with a pat on my head.

Later, some older guy who watched me jump from afar came to me and asked if I was really good at somersaulting and I said no.

He said I nearly landed on my neck and would have broken my spinal cord.

I stopped jumping anyhow since then.

Entering into the well of my boarding school just to take a fetcher that fell inside because the owner was a bully. Ended on wonded on my 2 feets pretty bad but I lied just to get treated

When i was 8, i thought i was big enough to hunt, so i entered a bush with just one lean stick and i believed i was coming home with plenty bush meat, long story short, i jumped into an uncompleted building and i saw a complete skeleton of a man on the floor, i have seen before in movies and my elder brother textbook, so i ran none stop home, by the time i got home i realised i wasn't wearing shoes, had 2deep cuts in one leg, and i was bleeding, but the fear wont let me feel the pain. till date, i never told anyone about this.

The day i poured kerosene on my father's house just to burn it down, but disappointed when the house refused to burn AND the day i threw a grinding stone on my cousin from 3 story building, God saved her that day.....Thank God, stubbornness is gone, am so gentle now

When I was 12years old, I had this child in my hood who would always look for my trouble. Usually the boy would abuse me whenever he sees me and he looked very masculine for his age, so of course, as a girl his looks dreaded me and that gave him more guts to always abuse me. I once went to their house to report him to his parents so they'll call him to order...all that fell on deaf ears. on one occasion I was crossing by a football field in my hood, this kid saw me again and started his usual insults, I couldn't take it anymore, all the fear I had of his masculinity all faded in anger, I felt a rush of adrenaline as I boldly walked to him; touched his shoulders and asked him to repeat the word he just uttered. older and younger boys at the field started cheering him to act swiftly, so he repeated the word. I fought the boy and ended up beating him black and blue, infact, after the fight his peers were laughing at him. From that day he stopped calling me names and btw I wasn't even strong sef, wondered where all the energy to beat a guy came from. That was my first and only fight outside and the most dangerous thing have done.
