It's being a while but i still love to share my birth story.
I will try and make it a detailed one

My BS

It all started on Friday 27th of January, my EDD. I was having this excruciating back pain that won't relief me. Although the pain started two weeks earlier but was bearable.

Three weeks to my EDD, my vjay was itching and I went to a clinic to treat it but when I informed my consultant during ANC, she complained that why didn't I come to the hospital.
So, on 27th of January when I was having unbearable back pain, I decided to go to the hospital since where I was; was closer to the hospital.
I met with the nurses and laid my complain. They took me to gynea emergency where I met a doctor and explained my plight. He did VE for me and said OS closed but because I was due already, he decided to admit me. They called the labor ward immediately that a patient was coming.

It came to me as a surprise because I was very sure I was not in labour. The next thing the doctor will say was inform your people to bring your things. Yekpa!
I called my husband to bring my hospital bag. He informed my SIL and MIL, they were all confused.

At the labor ward, I was given a bed and they started asking different questions "when was the last time I felt contraction bla bla" I couldn't give a convincing reply because my contractions were irregular. The doctor at the labour ward did another VE and said I was 30% effaced but OS was closed. They did another VE 4 hours later, same result. I was really angry with the whole situation. They concluded I was not really in labour and I was transfered to another ward where I spent the night.

At the ward where I was transferred to, I told the nurse I want to go back home the next day and she said they don't discharge patient on weekends. Haaa
That was how I got stocked in the hospital for the weekend.

The next morning which was 28th of January, I woke up with a waist pain and when I went to the bathroom to have my bath, I saw bloody show and I went to show the nurse my pant in other to be sure if it's truly it was "show" I saw. She confirmed it and noted it down. But the back pain hadn't subsided, instead, it was increasing and I was transferred back to the labour ward where I was given injection to relief the pain because I was not having strong contraction. They did VE for me again and result was still the same. I started asking myself if I will ever fall into serious labour because I was already anxious; too anxious to meet my princess.

Funny enough, I was transferred back to the ward the second time and I became furious; I felt like crying. It was really embarrassing going back and forth every time.

29th of January, I started having regular contractions coming at 10minutes interval. I was happy that at least, I was having a good sign.
But an unfortunate thing happened at the ward, a woman who was on bed rest was having strong contractions at 5minutes interval and she didn't inform the nurse instead, she was walking about, in the end, she delivered the baby prematurely and the baby died.
I don't really understood the situation perfectly because of the way I was feeling. No time to start meddling in other people's affair.

After the woman lost her pregnancy, automatically, the rest of us in the ward were on serious bed rest. lol. No one was allowed to leave the bed.
Then, the doctor on duty came to check me and said I will be transferred back to the labour ward and I said I wasn't going. I don't want a situation where I will return to the ward after 8 hours and he said he's very sure I don't want to experience what just happened to the woman that lost her pregnancy. Then, I gave it a second thought and requested he do VE for me. He did and OS was closed but he still insisted I will be transferred.

Back to the labour ward, I was already ashamed of myself, going in and out of the labour ward every time. I already know all the staff at the labour ward.
Each time I went to the labour ward, I requested I be induced but they disagreed that I don't have any problem, why induction. But on 29th, the doctor that attended to me agreed on inducing me and I was happy.

On 30th of January which was on Monday, the doctor on duty started the induction process at 1:30pm because he was waiting for the staff at blood bank to confirm they have my blood type. He said he can't start the induction without the blood available.

At 1:30pm, induction started. The doctor inserted a tablet into my vjay which he had divided into 4(I have forgotten the name of the tablet) The tablet is for cervical ripening. For some minutes, I was not feeling anything and I was worried that maybe they lied to me that I will be induced. Few minutes later,my back pain returned in full force and I started having very strong contractions coming at less than a minute interval.
I was trying hard not to shout and bear the pain but my back was seriously aching and my DH was helping me to massage it. He was with me until few minutes to the birth of our baby that he left because, he couldn't hold back the tears anymore.

I was using the breathing techniques but it got to a stage, I couldn't bear the pain anymore and I started screaming and crying at the same time.
The doctor that induced me was telling one of the matrons that it was just cervical ripening he did for me o that am shouting not knowing I was seriously dilating.
Few minutes later, I started having the urge to poo and I shouted, I want to poo o. They were all surprised and one of the doctors did VE for me and said I was 8cm. Everyone was really surprised; I was surprised myself. So fast!
They started telling me not to push if I don't want to damage my cervix but I couldn't hold it. I started pushing o and each time I pushed, I pooed and I was a bit relieved.
Few minutes later, I was transferred to the delivery room and was asked to push. I thought I was pushing but was told I was just shouting. So, I relax a bit and push so hard and my princess came out at 8:03pm weighing exactly 3kg but she gave me little tear.

I requested they numb the area before suturing but the doctor gave me an injection that will make me feel drowsy a bit in other not to feel the pain and truly, I didn't feel the pain.

I will never forget 6 hours 33minutes of serious pain but in all, I give thanks to almighty Allah for making it easy for me. I pray for a supernatural delivery for the rest of preggy mamas on this thread and in the whole world. And to those looking unto God for this joy, I pray Allah grant your heart desire sooner than you expect.

5 years in June oh. Hahaha. Me too. I've battled very light hair all my life, one reason I decided to go natural and eventually loced. If you see the growth during pregnancy! My loctician was amazed. My edges closed, the hair is so thick. I'm just taking care of it and praying it doesn't fall off grin

How is LO? And vigilante?

As for MIL, guess it's normal for them to wait until you born, but I feel like those first few days might be the hardest, so I'm still pissed. What's up with your mum, is she still vexing?
