The news is false,in fact NYSC already released a press statement on their twitter handle concerning the incidents,you can check it out and moreover Katsina is not a sharia state,i think in the whole north,it is only Zamfara state that is practicing sharia and so far the sharia stuff is not for corpers dating each other.

That's why I said it depend on YOU,choosing northern states is not by force.

@ Davidtolu,here in ZM,Sharia law have nothing to do with corpers dating/handshaking each other,what happened in kano is just pure hatred and illiteracy and probably it happened in a village where those who beat the male corper is a sadist,it has nothing to do with sharia.

Those who make the attacks will even lie about what you did, because most corp member can't speak their language, just like the one that happened in Katsina recently. Corp members have to be careful with their dealings with women in this regions and it's good to make friends with Northerners in the neighborhood to learn their cultures / Language and Ethics.
